Location was great. Host was terrific. Nice common areas. Room served its purpose.
A warm, family welcome awaits at this traditional West Highland inn/small hotel. Beautifully situated beside Loch Linnhe, Inn at Ardgour is reached via a very short car-ferry trip across the water.

We loved having the convenience of pre-made meals included with our paid night's stay. They were delicious, and it was wonderful to prepare and eat at our leisure. The accommodations were just perfect. We had the best nights while there.

The breakfast was delicious continental, but cost more than advertised. The location is beautiful.
In a stunning location, between the mighty Glencoe Mountains, this baronial Highland hotel offers an irresistible blend of history and style with modern comforts and luxuries.

This was a nice stay but by far my least favorite accommodation during my 8-day stay in Scotland. While my room was cozy and very clean, it was loud and quite hot and the window faced a hallway and mechanics, offering zero privacy. Overall, the price point is too much for the location.
Onich is in a beautiful setting. Our pod had a lovely sunny private patio with a stunning view looking down the loch. It is in the centre of an outdoor activities area so there lots of nearby things to do - walking, climbing, mountain biking, sailing , paddle boarding etc. The hotel has reasonably priced bar and restaurant with charming staff. The food was average but it may depend what you order- I had vegetarian burger, my partner had scampi. If weather very poor there is a very nice small cinema, ten pin bowling etc in Fortwilliam which is 15 min drive.
Pod is reasonably well equipped, bed was very comfortable but apart from a coat stand, there is nowhere to store clothes. There are no tea towels either.

End of our trip so only stayed one night - however this place is pretty and relaxing and I would say is ideal for exploring the likes of Fort William, Ben Nevis, Glencoe, Glenfinnan Viaduct etc so you could easily spend a few nights here before heading on to the Isle of Skye or further North.

Onich is really well positioned to visit some great places.
Onich is really well positioned to visit some great places. Ben Nevis is
at Fort William, with the delicious whiskey distillery at its foot. Definitely visit Loch Shiel (famous filming location) and the viaduct at Glenfinnan (as seen in Harry Potter). You'll be totally spoilt with the stunning scenery on the way to and from Eilean Donan castle on Loch Duich - it's a bit of a drive but so, so worth it.

The view of the loch was good.
The view of the loch was good. It was a stormy day and night, but that was an interesting view too.
It was a small simple room, which is all we need. I could do without the TV. The picture on the website made it super easy to spot as we approached. This was a great location for a stopover between things we did.

The Onich hotel is in a spectacular setting.
The Onich hotel is in a spectacular setting. We have stayed here before, we loved our stay then and we loved it this time too. The room and facilities were all one might expect and the food was top rate. We'll definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
Views from the front of the property (we only enjoyed them from outside and in the lounge). Breakfast was excellent, both food and service. Evening meals were good (we had Whisky burger and Macaroni cheese) and waitress/bar service excellent. We appreciated the fact Creag Mhor recently took the decision to provide evening meal options due to the fact local restaurant options were scarce, partially due to covid restrictions. If you want to eat well you should really book the Laroch Restaurant well in advance.
Location is great - right next to the ferry terminal and close to Glencoe hiking trails. Host was one of the friendliest and most helpful person I’ve met - gave us lots of useful recommendations and made our reservation in the restaurant. There’s waching machine in the drier room where you can dry your clothes. You can put you food into special container (that has your room number on it) and use fridge as well (we had one in the room too). Comfy beds and clean rooms!
The Hotel itself was a really nice and the location is second to none. The rooms were comfortable and clean and coffee etc was added during our stay ( 4 nights in all) without asking. Owner himself was very good, helping with where to go etc and friendly and cheerful. Had a lovely guests room full of books and games to help pass the time. We only had one meal there but the food was very good.
The staff at the Onich Hotel were exceptionally nice and the rooms were updated and very clean. Dinner was delicious and very well-prepared, and service was professional. Breakfast was plentiful. The location on the loch is amazing. Enjoy the view on the deck with a beverage! Ignore old reviews - the Onich Hotel is worth visiting.
this was a quintessentially Scottish b&b experience. The owner Clair was accommodating and friendly, she helped us get a reservation at an outstanding local seafood restaurant and Angela educated us at the extensive whiskey bar. The view alone is worth a stay, the hospitality made it the most memorable stop on our Scotland tour.
Fantastic hosts, who provided us with a comfortable home setting away from home. Comfortable bed, shower great and good breakfast to start the day. Mairi also guided us to get medical care after I got knee injury and to amazing local cafes, restaurants and sites. Our preferred one was Lochleven Seafood Cafe! Superb!
Beautiful location, for exploring the mountains, with a small private beach. We just need to revisit in the summer to take full advantage of the beach. The Onich Hotel was only 2 minutes walk away, gorgeous food and very friendly staff who accommodated our party of 6 with 2 dogs no problem
Gary served one of the best breakfasts we had the entire trip. The surrounding scenery is gorgeous. I forget the name of the place but he steered us to a restaurant on the other side of the lake where we had an incredible seafood meal.
The view from the room was the best thing about this hotel. Also, the staff member who was working each night (only one person) was very kind and working very hard to attend to the guests needs in the restaurant and at the front desk.
Location and the loch view from the room. This is one hotel which is really loch-view where you can literally walk up to the shore. Friendliness of the staff members is worth mentioning. The breakfast spread was really good.
Room was lovely. Fantastic size and facilities. Breakfast provided in the fridge (milk, muffin and orange juice). The restaurant is closed however there is a brilliant pub (Roam West) which does amazing food and drinks.
Perfect location for visiting Glencoe - close to the village of Ballachulish, close to Fort William. Loved the horses grazing outside our window. Comfortable and cozy, responsive host.
This is the cutest cottage ever, with a magical view! The shower is a bit small but with good pressure. There are restaurants nearby which was convenient. We definitely recommend it.
Very spacious and clean. Our room had a view of the loch. We walked onto the ferry (free) and had a drink and dinner at the hotel restaurant on the other side. Nice experience.
