Tenby is a tourist town and packed with visitors in August.
Tenby is a tourist town and packed with visitors in August. There are many pubs and other eating places. It is hilly which is not a problem unless you are pushing a wheelchair or not very energetic. Not very many attractions within Tenby if you get a succession of wet days. The beaches are large and plentiful. There are quieter restaurants (more expensive) and cheaper ones to suit all tastes. Well worth spending at least one day to look around the town - church, lifeboat stations, Tudor Merchants House, Castle Hill, Museum, Harbour, Town walls, brewery. Tenby is a really nice harbour town and beach which has plenty of interesting shops, places to eat and back streets to explore. The jewel of Pembrokeshire and West Wales. Picturesque, quaint, rickety roads, pastel coloured cottages, dreamy harbour side, small selection of nice restaurants, cute pubs serving good value pub food, with selection of outdoor eating options, including beer gardens, Large section of town centre is pedestrianised which is great, as you wander around the craft and tat / gift shops. Car parking can be a challenge but the large multi storey generally has spaces and you may be lucky with street parking but most street parking in the town is for residents / permit holders.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom
