The castle itself is beautifully decorated with amazing tapestries, paintings and sculptures. You feel you are in your own castle since they keep little staff around and you can use every space like you are at home. With only 6 rooms no way it might get crowded. Bed super comfy. Bathroom as well. Breakfast delicious. The honesty bar has lots to offer and surprisingly accettable prices considering the level of the place. This place is fantastic. Best we stayed at on this holiday. The owner Mark was so kind. We had an upgraded room on the top floor and I would pay the extra to stay in it again. Had a roof top patio which was great to sit out and read in. The property has been entirely refurbished and I must say with top grade finishes like electric blinds and fog free mirrors. Great shower, comfy bed, skylights. Nice touches such as bedside USB plugs and shortbreads with the tea and coffee service. Nice heavy doors, quiet rooms. Opens onto central street. Pub was closed for the night to recover from the Ironman race, so Mark gave us a free breakfast, which was made even more enjoyable by the great music playlist and the cheery conversation of Lucy the hostess. Breakfast was terrific. Parking close by next to the Premier Inn. Great location in the midst of all the action.

Haverfordwest
Green, tranquil, pleasant surroundings. Ideal for exploring the beautiful coast of Pembrokeshire. Well-equipped apartment, everything looked new and clean, with comfortable beds and a good walk-in shower. A Nespresso coffee machine and a French coffee press are present. In addition to the garden there is a nice balcony with chairs and flower pots. We haven’t met the owners, but everything was very well organized. For dinner nearby we tried the Druidston Hotel (nice views) and the Pelcomb Inn. Both were good.
Hotel perfectly located for the outdoor activities we planned along the north Pembrokeshire coast. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times despite the obvious pressures of understaffing. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel; the food was of consistently good quality, servings were generous and prices were reasonable. EV charging available in car park which was very convenient. Regarding the room, the two main positives were the size and comfort of the double bed and the shower.
The location of the Golden Lion is ideal to explore Pembrokeshire as it is situated right on the A487 and very close to many attractions. The staff of the Golden Lion was fantastic, everyone was very attentive and helpful and they sorted some issues we had quickly, which we appreciate. We loved the breakfast as well, tried different options from the menu and everything was cooked to perfection. Dinner at the pub was great as well, very good options and all of them very delicious.
Haverfordwest
Lovely retro feel about the place, as was a hotel developed from an old school from what I can see. Lovely time staying in Haverfordwest away from the rat race of the Sourh East. Though Haverfordwest isn't so much a tourist honeypot in itself, there are some great things there and the public transport links by bus to all parts of Pembrokeshire made it great for us. Really friendly place to be at breakfast too and enjoyed that part very much with some nice Welsh fry ups!
Haverfordwest
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cwtch Lackerlee, the apartment is stylish, well equipped, comfortable and in a beautiful location within easy access to all of the stunning places that Pembrokeshire has to offer, Tim's local knowledge of places to eat, walk, surf or any other activities you can think of was second to none and we very much enjoyed our stay and will be recommending to anyone that asks! Thank you Krista and Tim for an brilliant few days!
Comfortable apartment in a great location for exploring the Pembrokeshire area. If I’d have stayed longer I would’ve booked in a Beauty treatment next door! Beautiful, clean, dog friendly beach to walk to Tenby. Picturesque coastal walks with great views . 30 mins drive to Pembroke Castle & Freshwater West Beach for any Harry Potter fans. . Great to relax in the hot tub after a long walk. Train station 5 mins downhill.
Pembroke Dock
Apartment ideal for 2 persons. Very cosy and very nicely decorated. Kitchen had everything you need to cook a basic meal. Living area very cosy with TV - even had Netflix. Very good Wifi. Bathroom equipped with basic things. Host Hannah was exceptional, always answered immediately when we needed to ask something. Perfect location to visit Pembrokeshire area. Free parking was available on road in front of apartment.
Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff team! Hotel was in scenic quiet location, and had excellent well-managed facilities (pool, bar, reception room). Room was so comfortable. Honestly the whole experience felt like a home from home. Would 100% recommend as a great country retreat and base for exploring Pembrokeshire! Thank you so much for a brilliant stay!
Haverfordwest
All the staff were incredibly friendly, thoughtful and attentive!. The room was perfect for me, the bed was very comfortable and the room facilities were perfect!. the location of the hotel on the front just yards from the beach and right in the middle of the town of Broad Haven makes it a great place to explore the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline!.
It was our resting spot before visiting Skomer Island. After a 5 hours drive, it was a great hotel to relax before the Skomer Island trip. It has good decoration. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the pub because we were too tired. But if we visit Pembrokeshire again, we'll definitely stay at Lord Nelson Hotel again.
Excellent location for walking part of the Pembrokeshire coast. We walked from Newgale to Solva and back. Easy access to St. David’s by car or as part of a coastal walk. Great local pub within 10 minutes walk of the hotel. Excellent restaurants suggested by the hotel. We had a delicious meal at the Cambrian Bar in Solva.
Haverfordwest
Food was incredible with great selection of local produce. Bed was extremely comfortable and hotel was extremely dog friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend as a base for exploring beautiful Pembrokeshire and would happily come back again.
perfect location for travelling around Pembrokeshire, we were there for a wedding and made a mini break of it, we chose a budget room and the room was larger than we expected for what we paid, we didn’t eat at the hotel apart from one breakfast which was fine.
What a gem to find in a beautiful Pembrokeshire village. Without exception, the staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. Breakfast and dinner were both lovely. the Secret Garden and Cellar Bar are both great places to hang out at this delightful hotel.
Footprints is a well equipped apartment in a good location. It provides a good base for a relaxing stay . It is easy to explore other areas of Pembrokeshire from here. There are several pubs /restaurants in walking distance from the apartment.
In a wonderful location in the Pembrokeshire countryside. Wonderful staff. Had a great start with tea in front of the hotel looking over the fantastic views. The best meal I've ever had in The Fernery. Comfortable room & excellent breakfast.
Haverfordwest
Great apartment to use as a base for exploring & hiking Pembrokeshire coastal areas. Beautifully refurbed interior with everything you need!
Great location for Pembrokeshire coastal walking and St David's.
Fab hotel, fab staff, fab breakfast, fab room, fab location
Amazing facilities, the view was fantastic and spa not too over crowded. Mini fridge was handy in the room. Great location to walk down into Saundersfood. Breakfast was outstanding, we were able to help yourself as well as a fresh cooked breakfast of our choice. I had the eggs Benedict which was 10/10.
