My room was on the first floor (note there don't seem to be any lifts, if you have mobility issues). It had been cleaned, and reasonably attractive.
Some good points:
Bath had a head rest, so very relaxing.
TV and wifi worked well.
Nice big desk and lots of sockets.
Helpful staff.
Large range of takeaway restaurants opposite hotel, and in-house menu looks good.
Very close to rail station.
Set in beautiful landscaped gardens just 15 minutes' walk from Melton Mowbray town center, this 100-year old house is next to the River Eye, with free fishing for guests.

Great market and good pubs.
Great market and good pubs. Good choice of supermarkets within 5 minutes drive, Sainsbury’s being the largest. Although we came by car, the railway station is only 3 minutes walk from The Willows. Local people very friendly and it felt very safe to walk at night. We did a pork pie making class at Brockleby’s who have just won pie of the year award and it was great fun. They also do bread making classes. We enjoyed the antique fair on market day with some very friendly stall holders. We will return to this lovely town. We enjoyed the Anne of Cleves pub . The food was delicious and there is a huge garden at the rear. You need to book !

We stayed at Tresillian House B&B for 2 nights - 16th/17th September (family wedding). Alison is the perfect host, she welcomed us in to her beautiful home and we felt as if we were part of her family. The whole house is immaculately clean. Our room was very spacious and there was a wide variety of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits plus a mini fridge. The bed was very comfortable with pure white cotton linen and the pillows made for a great night's sleep. We had access to the lounge which is very cosy and welcoming and the garden is absolutely stunning. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choice including pastries, cereal, bread, jam and real butter. All the food is locally sourced and freshly cooked to perfection. Alison, we can't thank you enough for making our stay any more perfect. You are so lovely, kind, very welcoming and very hard working. We're looking forward to booking another weekend stay with you in the very near future.

I liked the market town character & facilities.
I liked the market town character & facilities. I also liked the range of restaurants & bars, some good shops here, was able to find a suit for a funeral, fresh fruit in the market, nice beer garden in The Anne of Cleves, lovely little pub called 'The Boat', Caffe Italia is a nice bistro, nice little independent coffee places like 'Off the Beaten Path'. Everywhere is easily reachable by foot without the need for transport. It has a huge LIDL & Morrisons. There's a range of banks, even a theatre!

The property was 2 min walk over a river to a beautiful park and into a beautiful old English felling town with a few pubs and shops, a small drive to fishing lakes and country side, we definitely coming back to explore more a weekend was not enough time to do all we wanted to do.
I had the Studio which was a well equipped room with an ensuite and decent sized kitchen, the bed was very comfortable, and I had my own entrance direct from the car park. Access was given via a key to the rear of the property so I could enjoy the garden and lovely views. There was plenty of car parking. The property is only 1.5 miles from Melton Mowbray, which has all the facilities you require such as supermarkets and petrol, and was perfectly placed for visiting the places I wished to see.
Clean and tidy hotel. Friendly staff. Only 15 mins slow walk into the centre of Melton Mowbray. Secure onsite parking. Easy access everything. Breakfast was delightful and a great choice. We had a small dog with us so ate in the green room away from other diners. The gardens at the back were well kept and plenty of seating should you wish to sit outside. Staff were excellent and friendly.
Rooms and facilities are all you would expect from a luxury hotel, but it was the staff that really made the place. Absolutely everyone we came in contact with was absolutely lovely. Rooms are all unique and ours was really quirky which we loved. The 3 car chargers were very welcome too, as was the unexpected champagne in our room as we had mentioned it was our wedding anniversary!
What a beautiful quaint hotel steeped in history. Superb grounds, excellent service and food was amazing, apparently the reviews my partner read weren't good but what we had, plus service was exceptional.
Room was big and comfy, too be fair I've had similar and paid less but when you take into account the service that accompanies your stay it's worth it!
Absolutely fabulous hotel, bar & restaurant areas are lovely. Wonderful range of food & drinks available. Hotel is in a great location, near the train station, the beautiful park and only five minutes walk from the town Center. The staff were nice and friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable.Would definitely recommend & stay again
cleanliness of the whole hotel and the room, bathroom were very spacious comfortable . The bed bed linen and towels lovely and clean. plenty of parking ,within walking distance to town centre ,
friendly staff .Breakfast was good plenty variety on offer cereal yoghurt etc . We felt they would try to accommodate most dietary needs if requested .
Good parking and quiet location. Pleasant and efficient reception on arrival. Lovely room overlooking the garden - very comfortable bed and equally comfortable armchairs - with spacious bathroom - heated towel rail :) excellent towels. Dinner and breakfast both good as was service. Ambiance overall is one of comfort.
Lots of modern appliances, fast internet, and the hosts had provided essential groceries before our arrival (butter, milk, eggs... even a cake!). Has a real comfy cosy vibe to it. We really enjoyed the hot tub on a hot day, very relaxing. The house is also great walking distance to the town centre of Melton Mowbray.
Our host was very attentive, she gave good very advice about local restaurants. I.e. Amore an Italian restaurant in Melton Mowbray where we had a very enjoyable meal on the Saturday night. Tresillian House is a lovely place to stay and our room was very comfortable and clean.
It definitely felt more like a home than a hotel or B&B. The grounds are beautiful and you could get lost in them, in a good way. The "Lady of the Manor" was very lovely to speak with and made the stay unforgettable. We will definitely stay again in the future.
Modern, comfortable, spacious house in a very small, quiet village with good facilities. Convenient for our stay for wedding stay and commute. A good family home with excellent parking and garden space. Easy access to nearby places like Rutland Waters.
This property is set in a beautiful location close to Melton Mowbray. The staff were so friendly and most helpful. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was well cooked and plentiful. Overall a very good experience from the team. Thank you.
Gorgeous setting, beautiful views, and very quiet. Fantastic detailed instructions from the lovely owner too.
The accommodation was very clean, very spacious, very warming and comfortable.
I would HIGHLY recommend this beautiful accomodation.
The Annex was well proportioned for us as a couple and the furnishing, decorations, fittings, equipment and internet speed were all that we would have wished for. The location, outlook and access to outdoor space and country walks were ideal.
Good location. Friendly staff and decent pub food. We didn't try the Indian Restaurant (attached to the pub); we had an evening meal in the bar, which was good value for the money. This is a good basic hotel.
Everything. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, modern and a wonderful respite from the cramped quarters of NYC where I live. Loved the old barn beams and the countryside. Will be back again. For sure.
Good location in the countryside with amazing views and 10 minutes by taxi into town.
Host very friendly and helpful.
Room and bedding all kept very clean and comfortable.
Very good value.
The location of the hotel was perfect. The hotel is very dated and very noisy. The room next to use was very loud until 12:30am and started again at 6:30am.
