The room was a good size with a double bed, single and en suite bathroom. It had a view of the garden and the rolling hills. Lovely location and a great half way point to Scotland.

Beautiful, spacious, truly unique with lots of interesting features and character. It’s three storeys with a really big utility/drying room and a huge kitchen that is warm and the sort of room you want to live in. Everything felt clean, fresh and well ordered. The bedroom was comfortable and the sitting room that took up the whole of the second floor was fantastic. Really recommend this place

Very friendly and helpful host. Didn't mind dirty clothes as I was hiking the Pennine Way. Good breakfast. Clean. Seemed to have been recently renovated. Nice little bar downstairs.

    Garrigill is a quiet town located within the North Pennines National Landscape area. Easily accessible from the Pennine Hiking Trail, "Sea to Sea" Cycle route, and visitors to the region requiring a base to explore from. Alston is the nearest large town (6 minutes by car) with a service station, restaurants, pubs, and shopping facilities. Haltwhistle would be the closest rail station (45 minutes away) for easy access to Newcastle and Carlisle.

    A very quiet and peaceful place which felt extremely safe...

    A very quiet and peaceful place which felt extremely safe and friendly. There not many facilities as the local pub is shut for renovation and there is only a Post Office with limited opening times. But it is an excellent place for a stopover when doing the C2C or walking the Pennine Way.

    We stayed for 1 night, to break up the long journey back...

    We stayed for 1 night, to break up the long journey back from Scotland. East View was perfect for a restful, relaxed and quiet 'recharge'. The room was very cosy and comfortable, the breakfast really excellent! We didn't get a chance to explore, but the surrounding area is beautiful and I would think perfect for walkers/cyclists to enjoy. Alston is nearby and has a choice of pubs, we ate in the Cumberland Arms and very much enjoyed our meal there.
