I've not been to cleethorpes since I was a child and now...
I've not been to cleethorpes since I was a child and now I've returned with my children and will be returning again.. If you get the weather on your side you'll have a lovely time 🌞 We visited the leisure centre, ate food from the food stalls along the sea front, ate fish and chips in papas on the pier, played in the amusements and had doughnuts and ice cream from Julie's in the sea front and love it all! ♥️Guest review byRimmington - 8.0

Cleethorpes is a good place for spending time with family especially with children.Reasonable prices,lots of entertainment and activities.Close to train station.Variety of food option available. I was only able to stay one night & didn’t really have time to explore more. The sandy beach was perfect for my young nephew and there seemed to be some great restaurants. I wanted a bit of time to spend on the beach and go paddling,so ideal as I stayed near the beach. Good beach for families. Good fish and chip shop. Had a meal at Papas fish and chip restaurant on the pier. . The streets were kept clean, although the temporary portalloo toilets should have been maintained over the weekend. Lovely long promenade to walk on and also a land train. Good service by the open topped buses. Train station not far from the main road on the front, so not far to walk to where I was staying. Cleethorpes 😂 Up by the Leisure Centre is well looked after, quiet and has plenty to do and see. Small Kiosk drink area, but not a lot else food wise. Small street with local shops, Italian restaurant and pub to the left of the Leaking Boot chip shop, towards the other end, is also lovely. Litter pickers/waste collection on the beach early evening seems pointless - from what I saw. Maybe a tractor with a rake, early morning, would do a more efficient job along the whole front. Couldn’t get over the amount of dog foul on pavements from Bradford street right up to the Pier. Also found it odd that there isn’t a local coffee shop at the train station. The Pier renovation is lovely, as is the little train and steam train and park areas. The portable public toilets in main area on Dolphin park are a disgrace - outside and in!!!! The amusement side of Cleethorpes definitely needs some TLC and better management to attracting local businesses. We stayed on Bradford Avenue (no car) and were surprised at the lack of a small local food supply store.Guest review byMargeryUnited Kingdom
