Elephant Rock Hotel, hotel in Portrush

Located a 9-minute walk from Whiterocks Beach, Elephant Rock Hotel offers 4-star accommodations in Portrush and features a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar.

Our room was spectacular! The bathroom gorgeous! It’s not often you find a king size bed. The staff was one the best we encountered on our 14-day trip. We ate dinner in the restaurant because we could not find anywhere else to eat (Saturday without reservations in May!) It was honestly one of the best meals we had! I cannot say enough nice things about this property. So well done.

If you want a beach holiday with rocky walks and scenery thrown in then this is a good place. Easy bus ride away (two an hour) is the Giant’s Causeway. The helpful tourist office in the town hall has timetables and can tell you where the bus stop is as it’s located in an odd place. Not so much to do in wet weather conditions but good places to eat that had plenty of room.

Lovely town on the North Coast to base yourself for all the excursions around. Fantastic beaches and plenty of good food places. Weather can change at a moments notice with sun, rain and the wrath of the Atlantic all in a day, come prepared. If you golf there are excellent golf courses.

As long as weather is good there is no better place to be than at Portrush. The beaches the food the pubs all great and the people always make you welcome. General shopping would be limited however, but in reality when you go to portrush your not really wanting to shop.

I scheduled in Portrush because of a visit to Giants Causeway. I was pleasantly surprised with the city. It is a very clean upscale beach town. My only regret is not realizing The Harbour bar was also a restaurant. We did end up eating in a more trendy "European" restaurant and did not discover Harbour Bar until after dinner. As a traveler from the US, I would have preferred the old friendly feeling to The Harbour Bar and wish it popped up in a search for restaurants on Google.

This property is great to stay at. Great location to portrush, we just walked into town. Free parking. Rooms were clean and comfortable, has everything you need. Shower pressure was fine and nice and hot. Breakfast here is great, they had cereal, oats, fruit, loads of bread types, pastries, sandwich ingredients. This place felt like great value for money! It was entirely self-check in so we didn’t have to interact with anyone (which we prefer!)

The B&B has a wonderful view of the ocean and Portrush beach. Huge outside deck with chairs and tables. Easily walkable to shops and restaurants. Our hosts were friendly and the breakfasts were cooked to order and delicious with lots to choose from. Diann and Kieran were so helpful in assisting us with finding the address of family that lived in Portrush in the early 1900’s. It was a wonderful place to stay. Very updated and comfortable.

I always visit the Inn on The Coast when up in Portrush. I like that dogs are permitted in the hotel even though I did not have my dog with me on this trip. I liked that you could arrange a time for breakfast and it appeared to be well spaced out between guests especially during Covid. It was great having the opportunity to sit outside and avail of the drinks and order food which we enjoyed. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The room was very large with a wonderful view of the Portrush Beach. It was well furnished with places to put our belongings comfortably. Breakfast was delicious and service impeccable. Our hosts, Anna and Benjamin were lovely, we enjoyed our chats with them. If course they knew the area well so could readily answer our questions and steer us in the right direction.

Kieran was a very pleasant host The property is very close to the centre of portrush. The guesthouse was quiet and clean, which is just what we wanted. Due to COVID-19, they hadn’t been offering breakfast. However, they were offering breakfast at the nearby Quays Hotel, which was both a surprise and a lovely breakfast.
