Argyll Arms Hotel is set on Campbeltown’s main street, close to the seafront and where the ferries leave for Ardrossan. This hotel has so much history! And the staff were wonderful. Sarah and Russell especially worked hard to keep us happy. The building is remarkably clean and well maintained considering it was around for Campbeltown's whisky boom of 1843.
Boasting a beautiful location next to the harbor, with rolling hills in the distance, this hotel is 5 miles from Machrihanish in the heart of Campbeltown. Great room with panoramic views. Bathroom spacious with fluffy towels ang good shower. Breakfast delicious and beautifully presented. Staff helpful and pleasant. A great stay. Will be back. PS. Loved my gift from housekeeping What a lovely touch !
Dellwood Hotel is set on the main road into Campbeltown. Set In its own grounds and 5 minutes’ walk from the town center, the family-run Dellwood has a restaurant, bar and free WiFi. Bruce, the owner, was very friendly and made sure we were well looked after and felt very welcomed. Great breakfast options, friendly staff. Would definitely stay again!!

Fonn Na Mara is a holiday home with sea views located in Peninver, 4 miles from Campbeltown in the Mull of Kintyre, made famous by Paul McCartney. It provides free WiFi and free private parking. It was a perfect location overlooking the isle of Arran, near restaurants and shops, great seafood to be had, ideal base for touring the Kintyre peninsula and beyond. It was an ideal getaway break and in a lovely peaceful place equipped with everything you need and more. Nanette was there to welcome us and show us round, despite our late arrival. We would all recommend this property, and it's a perfect place, suitable for couples and families alike.
Overlooking the famous Machrihanish Golf Club and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, Ugadale Hotel and Cottages are just 5 miles from Campbeltown. Breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and helpful, accommodation luxurious and clean, even the weather was good
Featuring a shared lounge, Braefoot Guest House is located in Campbeltown in the Argyll and Bute region, a 10-minute walk from Mitchell's Glengyle distillery and half a mile from Springbank Whisky... Very friendly and accommodating host. House was lovely and room better than expected. Excellent breakfast.
The town has pleasant aspects such as the harbour and some nice old buildings but did not enthrall me. However, the nearby countryside, particularly alongside the lochs is stunning. The Mull of Kintyre is a must to visit!
A delightful small town, perfect in itself but a taxi ride to Machrahanish or Carradale (we did both) will take you through wonderful country. The taxi driver may tell you about the area. Or you may like to take the local buses, which are cheap, prompt and comfortable Oh, yes. The people are very friendly and proud of their home
Campbeltown itself is not a pretty town, looking rather run down and messy around the shore area. The location is great and whilst remote there is a chance to visit Arran in a short ferry ride from just up the road (1/2 hour). The one place to eat is the Craigard House Hotel where the seafood chowder is truly amazing and the food is second to none.
THE location was perfect for the south end of the Mull of Kyntyre. The apartment was warm and really wellkept up. It was convenient for the south of the Mull and parking was very easy.We had a nice open view from the windows.Jennifer kept in touch and was very quick to respond and we had no problems. The bus stopped across the road into Campbeltown and down to Machrahanish.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Great breakfast with many options. The full Scottish was delicious, but the porridge with a dram of whisky was also a tasty choice. Easy to find, plenty of onsite parking, and located to be able to walk to everything around town. An ideal choice when visiting Campbeltown.
Excellent value for the price! The location is perfect for exploring Campbeltown and is easy walking distance to center and all the distilleries. The apartment is spacious, the kitchen is gorgeous, and overall very comfortable. Highly recommend!
I loved the whole experience! The Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating! The Owner was also very friendly and helpful! Absolutely gorgeous place to stay ❤️ We will be back again when we visit Scotland, amazing!
Self-catering... Delightful - feels completely off the beaten track tho' main road only a few minutes away .East to heat. We loved it. Nice TV reception and kitchen equipment. Less than fifteen minutes from Campbeltown Harbour by car.
Clean, comfortable, nice sheets, breakfast included. Nice view of the water/ harbor. Appears this is an old hotel but totally redone.
Great views, good breakfast, nice individual decor in the bedrooms and overall a lovely hotel with character.
Rooms , value. Beautiful hotel in a very unique location.
