Lovely Hotel, far nicer inside than the building leads you to believe. Stunning sea view downstairs. Really lovely staff, nothing too much trouble. We had a simple but tasty meal in the evening. Good prices for drinks and food. Bedroom and bathroom great!

Had a free complimentary room upgrade upon checking-in, which was a pleasant surprise. Room was a spacious double with a great walk-in shower in the bathroom. Had dinner in the restaurant which was also really good and seemed decent value for money.

Jane and Neil were excellent hosts. The room was clean tidy, neat and very comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order, bread was homemade - what's not to like! I will definitely stay there again.

Had a wonderful stay at the Penthouse. In a perfect location. The place was warm and homely.
All the bedding was clean and fresh. Comfortable beds, apart from one (My teenage son said it was fine!!) Most were memory foam.
Kitchen was lovely. Plenty of crockery, glasses and cookware.
T.V had Netflix, Amazon etc. You just need to sign in.
Keybox was very easy to use.
Family of 11. Varying ages. All said they had a great time.
Recon we will be back.

I think that Cromer is a good base as it has better facilities than other towns/villages nearby but I also feel it is a bit crowded and tired. There are lots of beautiful places to visit nearby however and top of our list would be Well Next the Sea/Holkham beach, Holt and Norwich. If you visit Norwich don't miss the Cathedral Quarter as it is so peaceful and beautiful plus free to enter and look around.
Holkham beach at Wells is absolutely stunning and incredibly clean. Consider hiring a beach hut as they are fabulous and at £65 for a full day (9:30 - whenever you want to leave) are good value if you want to stay on the beach with a picnic all day.
Holt is a beautiful Georgian town with lots of independent shops where you can easily pass 3-4 hours.
We frequently drove along the coast road (A149) and simply stopped off at villages along the way - there are far too many to mention but standouts would be Blakeny and Cley.
Overall I would say this area is lovely and especially if you like walking but you need good weather.

One of the most friendly Towns I have ever visited, would love to live there ❤️, lovely people who were happy to stop and chat, help with directions etc. or talk about their pets. Just couldn’t fault staff in shops or cafes and some lovely places to eat tbat were reasonably priced and good VFM with portion sizes. The show on the pier far exceeded our expectations, so entertaining and tickets only £26 each, again great value. Loved the slower pace of the area, driving was a pleasure too, just all round lovely.

Our trip was out of season but still a lovely place to visit, the pier is clean and rubbish free and lovely tea and cake to be had! The sea front is rubbish free and easy to access. This was a day visit when staying just outside Cromer but we will definitely stay here when we can

Plenty of different shops to visit but some of them shut on a Wednesday which is frustrating when you are only there on a short break. Good tourist information with plenty of leaflets for trips out nearby. We were too early in the season for some.

An interesting town of late Victorian / Edwardian style.
An interesting town of late Victorian / Edwardian style. Nowadays a dated holiday gem best appreciated by older people. Full of nostalgia for over 60s as it brings back memories of childhood holidays. Lovely pier, beach and Cliff path walks.
Excellent sea food . Easy railway access to Norwich city and good road access to fascinating historical places all round the county.
First off this is a pub with rooms, so not a 5 star hotel, so important to have corresponding expectations. Location is great, in the heart of Cromer. Check in was swift and staff were friendly. Despite being above the pub you could not hear pub noise from our room and not a huge amount of crowd noise from the street. Room decor was nice and clean, bed was comfy, and tea/coffee/water provided was appreciated. Good storage space for clothes.
I had great difficulty accessing the property. Once I did, with the help of a kind pub owner, it was impossible to get my cases up into the place. The courtyard was made up entirely of very deep, big gravel and my wheeled luggage couldn't traverse it. If there had be one photo of this place, I NEVER would have booked it. I ended up sleeping in a room in the pub and headed out of Cromer early the next morning. Awful experience.
Just stayed for one night, but what a wonderful gem of a place. Was very impressed with my room (the herbal and biscuits are superior to some corporate hotels). Swimming pool was lovely (could just do with some new pool noodles for the children). In the evening we had a quick drink in the bar which is small but lovely with relaxing music on. I will stay again when I am in Cromer and ensure I sample the breakfast.
The breakfast options were first class, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were very impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the hotel. The hotel is very close to Cromer beach, so we visited the pier and town every day, as well as local villages such as Blakeney, Holkham Hall, Burnham Overy Staithes, Sheringham Park and other locations.
The neighborhood was very peaceful and quiet, which was great to come back to after a day in Cromer town. The house was just the right size for our group of 6 friends, and we could all fit on the couch to watch a movie at night. In addition, the kitchen was nicely equipped with cooking oil, spices, tea, and coffee so we easily made some of our own meals!
Apart from the superb location, what really made this hotel outstanding was the staff. They were genuinely welcoming and friendly, willing to happily give advice on the town. Nothing was too much trouble and all staff were happy to help out. The hotel has beautiful period features and was spotlessly clean but it's greatest asset is it's staff.
The breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day. The room was spacious with a comfortable king size bed and had a large en-suite. Mill House is situated in Overstrand within walking distance to a sandy beach and there is a cliff top path to walk into Cromer. The village of Overstrand has a post office/store a pub a hotel and also a cafe.
It was a beautiful old building overlooking the sea with lovely friendly staff. Rooms were clean and warm and beds were comfy. Easy access to beach and Cromer itself. hotel/restaurant next doors was lovely to eat in.
The breakfast was lovely and nice relaxed service.
Kid and dog friendly.
The afternoon manager was super got us a table in the resteraunt with very short notice , food was super. The room was very good , great welcome pack with lots of info. Lots if extra touches that I see in 5 star hotels. We will now make this our base when visiting Cromer.
Had a free complimentary room upgrade upon checking-in, which was a pleasant surprise. Room was a spacious double with a great walk-in shower in the bathroom. Had dinner in the restaurant which was also really good and seemed decent value for money.
Everything, it was well stocked with everything you need, decorated for Christmas which is very thoughtful, location wonderful, facilities exceptional, just a wonderful place to stay.
Outstanding host couldn't have been more helpful in beautiful surroundings,, serving exceptional breakfast, looking forward to another opportunity to stay there,.😌🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Cromer is a beautiful area so much to see and do. Clean beaches and sea - a gem on the Norfolk coast - it's a pity that the property itself was not up to standard.
Great hotel, good value rooms, helpful staff and nice interiors. Walking distance to the beach and to Cromer and Sheringham so well located. Very good parking.
