I’ve been coming to Pages for nearly few years now as my parents live in a local village. The property always make me feel so welcome due to its homely interior, the rooms are always spotless, the breakfast is basic but perfect.
I’m always so shocked at some of the reviews because honestly it is one of the nicest places I’ve stayed at and considering the price of the rooms, I don’t think there’s anything better for the money.

The Hostel structure and organization have beaten my imagination because this was a test to see if I could book again for a longer stay in the future. Yes, I would always book it again.
From the outside serenity of the environment and its quiet location, it is a perfect destination both for short and long stays. It is in the heart of the town with just a 7 min walk to the train station.
The inside is quite neat and houses a small store for groceries. The kitchen is well organized with a fridge to store safe food. The staff were quite happy and supportive at all times with a good sense of humor.
The heating system is perfect and my room was warm and tidy with clean white bedding and duvet.
I had initially booked for the bunk bed in shared rooms, fortunately, my room was upgraded to a small, single-perfect size room which served my purpose. This also beats my imagination at their kind gesture.
If you are still in doubt about whether or not to book this hostel, procrastinate no more, it is a perfect place and you will be fine with it and have good value for the amount paid.

After living in Harlow for 60+ years it has changed so much and very run down, the town centre is being demolished and no shops? But the hotel is situated in the old town and is in a lovely location. Harlow is close if you are travelling to London or Stansted airport.

The Harlow hotel was disgusting. Dirty and unkempt.
The Harlow hotel was disgusting. Dirty and unkempt. The rooms had nothing in them and the towels were old and not clean. .
It was full of refugees who were being housed there. My young daughters were woken at 1.30 by the police knocking on their door. They were questioned in relation to an incident that had no relation to them.
They were terrified and then couldn’t sleep. We were charged an additional £6 to park in the hotels own car park .
This cannot be described as a hotel but a refugee hostel at best yet we were charged £ 236 for one night.
I would question why booking.com have listed it as a hotel. It concerns me that I will experience something similar again as it was totally misrepresented. I will be reluctant to use booking.com if I cannot rely on the accommodation being as advertised.

Friendly, helpful staff. Nice decor.
Friendly, helpful staff. Nice decor. Good food, attractively displayed. Good internet. Clean room. Just surprised we had to pay £6 to park the cars over night. I can understand charging for guests leaving their car whilst on holiday but I think it should b3 included whilst staying at the hotel.

Fine as it was.
Fine as it was. But anyone looking for accommodation should be aware that this is a 'youth hostel' (former YHA) and the room I was in had 6 beds (3 bunk beds) in it. Fortunately just 3 men (including me).
There were other guests in other rooms. A kitchen where you can make your own food, and a pleasant sitting/dining room.
The owner has obviously gone to some trouble to decorate the place nicely.
I would recommend this place, and, in fact, am thinking of staying there on my next visit to England in Spring 2023. To be fair, this is my home town, and I know the area, and what to expect. It's in an excellent location for the railway station. But the town centre is dead - it used to be a thriving shopping centre in the 1960s/70s but is now a dilapidated and decayed and a right dump. There are plenty of nice spots around Harlow, though.

The staff is very helpful: check-in was great, and their employee went out of the way to help me with a travel adapter -- thanks much! The bed was comfortable; the linens were nice and clean; the toilets are clean too. Location is picturesque. It's a 3-minute walk from a public bus stop where you can catch the 509 or 510 bus for a 50-minute ride to Stansted Airport. I found the property itself to be quite run-down; if only it had more renovations it'd be wonderful. The worn-out carpeting and the clutter really leave an impression that could've been much nicer.
A beautifully renovated, traditional, little hotel with a very nice pub and garden on the outskirts of London. The blackout curtain is so super! Excellent location! I tried the bus and the train from here, and I even walked to Harlow town twice, all was perfectly convenient for me. Delicious hot brew coffee bags in the room. Friendly, helpful and kind staff in the hotel and in the pub. Loved the hairdryer in the room, it's a special one.
Breakfast was adequate. Glad it was there. Location was not especially convenient for me but It all worked out via public transport for this non-driver. Place was clean and I appreciated that. TV feception good too, and appreciated. And price more affordable than regular hotel. Also, the other people staying there whom I met were nice. Enjoyed my brief walk round the rather pretty 'hood espeially St Mary' churchyard - very near.
The hotel that time and..well anyone really forgot. It’s creaky, every corridor has a different smell, the rooms like something in a horror movie from the 80s.
It was cheap, the bed was okay, I didn’t catch any diseases as far as I’m aware. The staff are indifferent, and for a 7 hour sleep I didn’t mind paying the money.
Don’t stay here unless you’re travelling, sleeping between shifts or just want a laugh.
Staff friendly. Rooms clean and comfortable. City centre nearby with many shopping facilities. Station not far away (around 25 minutes walk, but better take a taxi for around 7 GBP). This accomodation is a real good alternative for a short trip to London considering the many poor, dirty and expensive hotels in London. Will definitely come back for the next London trip.
Great location, quiet with nice grounds, the property is really nicely done with quality décor, plush furnishings and really high-class bathrooms and kitchen. Did not expect to find this, it's 5 star! Easily comparably with some of the top hotels, will be looking to stay here again when working away.
although the town of Harlow is not much to visit, the hostel is an ideal night accomodation (next to the train station) to spend the day in London, or to catch an early plane at Stansted
very kind people, garden, kitchen, and a big park next door. prices are nice too.
location very good nice quiet area only a short walk to Old Harlow .The Guest House itself could not be faulted everything very clean and fresh the self serve items for breakfast very good as was the cooking facilities if needed to use them highly recommended
Late arrival due to flight delays: got key without problem after midnight. It was on the way from Stansted Airport to London city a very good value for money. The central bus station right under the flat offers a very good service to the Harlow train station.
Close to bus station and town centre and only a short bus journey to the train station where you can get a train to London or even Stanstead airport , also a bus ride away from a Epping Underground station and a bus directly to Stanstead airport as-well
Room was very clean, I had a nice shower and I appreciated the chocolates on the bed and the tea making facilities. The man on the desk on arrival (10.30pm) was friendly. A 15 minute walk from Harlow Mill station on the line from Stansted Airport.
Gorgeous apartment close to the train station, restaurants, beautiful park, and grocery stores. We loved being a bit outside of Londons city center and the ease of training into the city every day was wonderful.
Pub next door, quiet area in Harlow's town park, railway station just 10mins walk. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly owner/staff, no nonsense. I would stay again.
