The Pot Kiln is located in such a wonderful location that once you arrive you feel very relaxed. However, the best part is the staff including Ms. Katie Robinson. She showed us a walk path across the fields in front of the property that I took several times during our stay of two nights. Originally, we were going to stay three nights but had a timing issue / problem with the return of the car rental which made it wise for us to stay much closer to Oxford than originally planned. Ms. Robinson was very understanding and helpful for us to make the change. We were sorry to have to leave earlier because the hotel, the food and the staff are superb. Eating breakfast right next to the cows was a wonderful experience. We loved it and cannot wait to return.

We stayed one night at the Furze Bush Inn while traveling between Devon and London. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the staff very helpful and accommodating. They suggested a hike up Beacon Hill, which turned out to be wonderful. We had a nice dinner in the pub and a very nice breakfast in the dining room. They have a wonderful garden for afternoon drinks. Altogether, a very pleasant stay.

The hotel is in the center of Newbury. Excellent free parking, and easy booking in service at 1400hrs. The room was superb for the price, it had a hallway with a large bathroom on the left and the bedroom on the right. There was even a two seater couch in the room, it also had two large windows that lit the room up very well, with a rear view. There was no noise at all during my stay, and I had a very quiet night's sleep. I had one pint of Guinness on the night, which for a northerner was rather expensive at £6.60p. The breakfast was very good, a buffet service with all the usual fare. One of the best hotels I have stayed at, especially for the price!

Relax in the countryside just off the M4 motorway, four miles from central Newbury. We're within 15 minutes of Donnington Castle, Welford Park, and Newbury Racecourse.
