The Slipway B&B, hotel in Port Isaac

The Slipway B&B is a Grade II listed building that dates back to 1527 and is located opposite Port Isaac harbor.

The Slipway is close to all the sights and the water. We enjoyed being close to everything. The host was very friendly and helpful. The food was good. The room was kinda funky with a great view. It was just ok, but clean.

The Wootons Inn, hotel in Port Isaac

Located in Tintagel, a 10-minute walk from Merlin's Cave Beach, The Wootons Inn provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

It's in a stunning location! We had a view over to the island with the castle ruins and St. Materiana's on the hillside from our room, and we watched the sun set over the ocean a couple of evenings. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. We spent time at the pub downstairs two of our three nights, and everyone we spoke to was friendly and welcoming. All in all, fantastic!

St Moritz Hotel, hotel in Port Isaac

With views over the Camel Estuary and Atlantic Ocean, St Moritz Hotel features a spa with indoor and outdoor pool, gym and tennis courts.

The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment but this didn't impact the stay other than no indoor pool (which we knew about beforehand). The outdoor pool was still open and was warm. The facilities, bar, restaurant and location were fantastic and we would definitely return.

I have been visiting Port Isaac for over 30 years.

I have been visiting Port Isaac for over 30 years. The sea is very attractive, but the village in general appeared tatty, dirty and not gardened. Some houses have expensive renovations, but are sitting empty! The business were similar, which put us off eating at them. The Golden Lion, is full of unchanged character & a good average meal / pint. The jetty fish shop is also good. The co-op is an asset.

Port Isaac is lovely, but access for anyone with walking problems is difficult. It is very steep and not really accessible by car. Parking is at least 20 minutes away. The School House is a great place to eat.

Port Isaac is a glorious, historic fishing village in North Cornwall. On the harbour level, you'll find a higgledy-piggledy assortment of lanes packed with beautiful, picture-perfect cottages. Also on this level is the beach/harbour itself, a great pub and several tourist shops and restaurants that specialise in locally caught seafood (including Nathan Outlaw's fantastic restaurant). On Port Isaac's top levels, you'll find shops and more independent restaurants. It's a really atmospheric, special place, framed by the rugged Cornish coastline. However, be warned: it gets VERY busy in peak season (a nightmare for parking), so consider a stay during quieter times.

It's such a beautiful place to visit all year round.

It's such a beautiful place to visit all year round. Unfortunately, it happened to me to visit it in autumn but anyway, I enjoyed both visits. I believe in summertime it should be outstanding to be there. I would definitely recommend visiting it if you want an escape from the busy city. I would recommend you to visit the Newquay too. It's worth it.

A beautiful, peaceful village. Cornish people so lovely.

A beautiful, peaceful village. Cornish people so lovely. The village is isolated but depicts everything we know it for on the tv and movies (Doc Martin and Fishermen’s Friends). It does not disappoint. But there is much more. artists, nice eateries and gift shops. Also great history and sense of community. It is a relaxed pace to just chill. There are hills and cobblestones streets - but accessible for most. Take a walking tour to find out about history, movie making and life in the village. No access for cars so you must be able to walk everywhere. Do need to use buses or have a car if you wish to explore more of Cornwall. Transport is an issue. Do your research if you are train travellers. If touring then 1 full day and night in Port Isaac a must. Very safe. Loved it! There is a small Co-op. Suggest you take alcohol eg scotch with you if you feel like drink in your accommodation - as not a lot on offer. A range of restaurants. Such fresh seafood. If you have a self contained unit you can buy fresh and eat in. But restaurants offer seafood specials.

It is a beautiful fishing village with lots of good restaurants and shops. Picturesque! We enjoyed our tour of Doc Martin and seeing the scenes from Fishermen’s Friends movie. We would definitely come again but find a day trip would have covered it along with the terrific hike to Port Quinn.

Jamie was such an outstanding member of the staff at the hotel. He went out of his way to help us in every way that he could. He managed the hotel exceptionally well in every way. The Longcross Hotel are so lucky to have him in their employ. We cannot praise Jamie highly enough. He also cooked breakfast when we were there and we have to say it was really top notch. So friendly and welcomed us from the start.

The views to the sea are extraordinary, even better than the photos. The cottage is very comfortable, well equipped and clean. It’s a great size for a couple or small family. The outside area is spacious and private. Close to Port Isaac and a good location to explore the North Cornwall coast or just relax in the peaceful countryside. Julia and Kevin are extremely considerate and welcoming hosts.

Quality of food was very good at breakfast (particularly liked the overnight oats with fruit compote) and the one evening meal we had, but sadly let down by the indifferent and at times abrupt and offhand service. Hotel situated between Port Isaac and their sister hotel at Port Gaverne directly opposite Nathan Outlaw's New Road restaurant where we had a fantastic meal.

Could not have been happier with this property- it was absolutely beautiful, great location, and perfectly stocked! The views from our bedroom every night/morning were stunning! Brilliant place excellent location. Would stay again. Would like to see all bed sheets and towels included in the price and not have to do it separately through rental company. All else is totally worth staying here. Thank you. We had a great time. And I've been visiting Port Isaac for 55 years. It's still the same. Love this place.

The Gallery is in a perfect location, in the heart of the town. Our room (2) had a glorious view. The immaculate room was very comfortable and pretty, the en suite nicely fitted, and the makings for tea were ready for us. The Wifi was great. Top notch communication. I hated to leave this lovely spot.
