The hotel was spotlessly clean and the bedroom of a really good size. Very comfy bed and the food was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely bar and lounge area and perfectly situated for visiting the centre and Albert Dock in particular. Really good value for money if you are looking for a really nice hotel but don't want to pay really high prices.

I could nt get over how clean it was to other cities I have travelled too. The people not only in the hotel, but local cafes, pubs and shops are very polite and helpful. My favourite place is the scarf shop and the Daffodil boat on the front. We found that walking around soaking the culture, we visited the Prison that has been turned into a pub. I highly recommend Peaberry's cafe, for breakfast and such a large pot of tea. Would I visit again of course I would without a doubt

We did a hop on hop off bus tour which gave us a good idea of what was where. We climbed the tower of the Anglican Cathedral and even on a cloudy day we could see for miles. We all enjoyed the Quirky Quarter, 142 Duke Street. Great meal at Man Tseuen Ho’s Restaurant in Chinatown. ☺️

Lovely vibrant city, got everything we needed, good food, all around the Albert docks, fantastic shopping. Brilliant mystery Beatles tour, what a laugh we had. Such lovely pubs with great music, we didn’t want to come home. Best of all the Liverpudlians made us feel welcome where ever we went. See you soon.

Liverpool is an amazing city. Lots to see and do. We always feel safe in Liverpool, not anxious about who’s about. Great place to visit! Cavern club was the highlight of our stay. Music and history all for £5. Plenty of free things to do as well, museums and sights. Recommend the Mersey cruise if it’s sunny, lovely little trip.

Empire theatre and Royal Court for big shows . 50 minute ferry ride on River Mersey and see Everton's new ground . Williamson tunnels up by Crown Street a must see but off the beaten track . Not really advertised but Western Approaches - war bunker up by Dale Street . See the sanctuary stone on the floor of Castle street ( round stone by taxi rank) , if you stood on this stone years ago as a criminal you couldnt be prosecuted. See the bullet holes on the City Hall wall from years gone by. The cells under St Georges hall . Tried to add places not really advertised

Recommend Magical Mystery Tour even if you're not a huge Beatles fan. World Museum, Walker Museum (both free) and train to Bebington for Port Sunlight and Lever Gallery excellent. Get your scouse (stew) at the Old Bank near the Liver Birds. Good music at the Tavern Bar. Matthew Street.

The location is fine if you don’t want to be right in the city centre. You are a 10 minute walk from the Albert docks. Parking was available and only £7 a day even on ladies day of the festival when we went. Paid £200 for 1 night which was okay as all hotels increase their prices for the festival. The hotel is a 3 star which could be downgraded to a 2 star in my opinion as the hotel is very outdated and in dire need of a refurb. All in all if you’re looking for somewhere just to get your head down this hotel is adequate.

Jacob on Reception was very informative with a good introduction to where is best to visit whilst in Liverpool. The cost of the hotel stay was very good value. The hotel was in walking distance of the shops and Albert Docks. The beds were comfortable. The sofa bed pulls out to be 2 single beds which you have to throw sheets on to make up the bed ready to sleep and then a double bed is already made up. Our room had a kitchen with fridge, dishwasher and clothes washer machine.

It's the perfect location for The Empire Theatre, which is the reason we booked it. It's great for exploring the city centre, only a 20min walk to The Albert Docks. The staff were really friendly and helpful and while the hotel is dated, it has everything you need for a base when exploring Liverpool.
