Lovely farm, great staff/owners who are a couple with a very cute toddler. Nicely furnished rooms and thoughtful themes (e.g. maritime, arabic, etc). the area is beautiful, and even without a car was fairly easy to get to wells/glastonbury etc via bus or foot. Amazing breakfast. Nice garden and farm, lovely vibes.

I received a very warm welcome & the owners made the effort to get to know me on a personal level. This was especially appreciated as I was on my own. The relaxed atmosphere made me feel very much at home and I was able to enjoy a lazy coffee in the garden after I checked out which was the perfect ending to a lovely stay. My room was very nice & the bed was really comfy... Best sleep I've had in a while! I enjoyed a lovely evening meal & breakfast, both of which were excellent. This really is a little gem of a place which I didn't want to leave & I will definitely return to.

Steve and Louise were wonderful hosts, very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Steve even gave us a tour of his flour mill. Full English breakfasts were outstanding. Parking was plentiful. Location was convenient and easy into Wells. While the room was a bit tight, Steve made an adjacent room available for overflow. We would definitely stay here again.

Wells is one of the most interesting cities in England with the oldest Gothic cathedral founded in 1175. The architecture is almost all Early English with a huge amount of sculptural detail, not least on the great West Front. Those with a keen eye may even detect some Arab decorative influence probably by masons from the time of the Crusades. The Bishop's Palace where the swans in the moat have learned to ring a bell for their food, is must see. The town itself is compact with independent shops and many eateries. A gold star destination.

We came for a funeral, so had no time to do more than admire the city, landscape and villages as we drove through them. We shall certainly speak well of what we saw, and of the people we met. Also, we hope the chance comes to visit again one day. I am truly sorry we didn`t take photos - sadly, funerals are not the best subjects !

Wells is a very pleasant area, a good base plenty of places nearby to visit. Good selection of independent shops with the normal everyday shops. The Cathedral was beautiful but we only viewed the outside area there was a £15.00 admission charge which we felt was too much. We have visited other Cathedrals and whilst we can always make a contribution that is a personal choice. Wide range of cafes, pubs etc., and a market in the square on a Saturday.

A really lovely boutique hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. Well situated with a short walk to the centre of Wells and the cathedral. The room was spacious and clean (we had the Emperor room which comes with the bathtub - would recommend). The food at the pub downstairs was very good although the menu could do with some more veggie options.
