I didn't realize the rooms I booked wouldn't fit my toddler in with my husband and I until just before check in. The staff were gracious and allowed me to upgrade to The Georgian across the street for 30 pounds. WELL worth it to have her in my room (and not with Grandma), and the room was beautiful!

Upon seeing Swansea for the first time, it hits you just how green it is, especially when viewed from Kilvey Hill. On a clear day the views stretch as far as sweeping Swansea Bay and even the undulating Mumbles headland at the edge of the Gower Peninsula - the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with unspoilt beaches.
The Gower is also known for its castles, including Oystermouth Castle and Loughor Castle, overlooking the city from a hilltop. Swansea itself also has castle ruins which are Grade I listed, as is the Guildhall with its lavish interior frescoes.
Most historic city centre buildings were sadly lost during World War II, but the elegant Grand Theatre survived, as did Dylan Thomas’ childhood home in Uplands. The Swansea Museum – the oldest in Wales – is opposite the National Waterfront Museum and the LC indoor waterpark.
Offshore conditions are good for kitesurfing, and the marina shelters yachts overlooked by Wales’ tallest building: The Tower, Meridian Quay. The nearby SA1 Waterfront complex is becoming popular for its bars and restaurants, while shopping options include a covered market and the Morfa Shopping Park by Liberty Stadium, home to the city’s football and rubgy union teams.
Booking.com’s Swansea accommodation includes luxury hotels, cheap apartments and guest houses with parking.

Swansea is a quite poor working class town which has suffered from the closure of the coal industry on which the town was based. It is quite run down in places. It has sentimental value for me it was my Dad's home town and his family lived there for generations. The people are (mostly) warm and friendly and there are plenty of bars and restaurants plus a museum of Welsh history and a marina. The little town of the Mumbles, a few minutes down the seafront, is slightly more picturesque, but the main attraction is the beautiful Gower Peninsular a few minutes' drive away with its wonderful beaches.

Swansea is a fabulous city, lots of places to eat and go out to enjoy yourself. The Griffin is nice, Dorothy's show bar was fabulous. Only negative was Popworld who did not deliver on their advertised promises, avoid completely.
The indoor market was great and the history around the city is fabulous.

Were were there for 6 days.
Were were there for 6 days. Swansea was our base in Southern Wales. easy drive to explore marvellous mumbles and city of Cardiff. During our visit, Ironman 70.3 Swansea was happening. So there were roads closures.
It was nice strolling at the marina pop into local cafe. There were few small museums but we did not go because already tired walking.
Guests are made very welcome and all of the staff make up an excellent team. The phrase ‘ to go the extra mile’ perfectly describes the service we experienced. This extends to the 90th Birthday celebration the Gower Hotel laid on. The attention to detail, the artistic touches, the top class menu fare, all with a very friendly and personable yet professional provision. This is gem of an Hotel, not only for holiday breaks, but for large celebratory events. Very happy to return when we next visit Swansea.
We had a one night stay in this lovely hotel with friendly staff and plenty of free onsite parking. It is conveniently located a couple of miles off the M4 and about fifteen minutes' drive away from Swansea city centre. Our room was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The breakfast was good with plenty of cooked and continental options.
The location of this hotel was just perfect for our visit to Swansea. A short work to the city centre and close to bars/restaurants etc. The hotel decor was very modern and overall was very well presented and clean.
