Falmouth is a hilly town but has lots to offer for all age groups if you can walk up hills. The town is like most other towns with many empty shops sadly but there are still lots of shops and independent shops. The art gallery was a bit disappointing although the building it was in is beautiful. The Museum is good value for money and you can return any time within the year once you have paid entrance fee. Falmouth is very close to lots of other nice places in Cornwall. You can easily walk from the train station into town. I ate at Verdant Tapas bar and another Tapas bar outside of town, you cannot pre book at Verdants. The town is a bit tatty in places but it adds to its character! Lots of places to eat to cater for all peoples tastes!

The "Sabzi" cafe is great for vegan persian themed food, daily changing menu, a sample box is enough food for two people two meals. The Charity shops have more men's wear than most: Jackets, Shoes.

I love having a variety of safe sandy swimming beaches with calm waters ideal for paddleboarding, kayak exploration. Great range of places to eat, lots of options for vegans. Always some type of live music on somewhere. Good vibe to the town. Ideal location to explore the surrounding area by foot. A must visit is the Wilder Kitchen, such a gem serving delicious Thali. Also Castle beach cafe for takeaway breakfast or lunch and Ciuri Ciuri for the best italian Gelato (always great vegan choices too)

Falmouth is a compact sea-side town with plenty of restaurants and a thriving arts community. While one can easily walk around Falmouth there are also many attractions within a short drive. Taxis are also readily available.

We loved falmouth and are looking forward to visiting in the spring. Great independent shops with loads of places to eat and drink.
Gilly beach was fab and the restaurant was great
Well be sure to visit again
wonderful hotel in a great location. wonderful park opposite for a morning walk. my husband and I stay here every year for our weekend break in Falmouth. they provide all you’ll need for a stay, towels and toiletries and a well stocked tea tray, even umbrellas for you to borrow if needed. Had a lovely chat with the lady at the front desk , housekeepers were very friendly. There is hand sanitizer all over the hotel and they even provide a bottle in room. Check in is simple and seamless. brilliant hotel and look forward to our stay next year.
The location is hard to beat, the building is amazing but if you’ve booked going on the pictures you’re going to be disappointed, it is tired and dated- for the price we paid we were super disappointed.
I stay in a lot of hotels for business and this was not cheap.
I guess the nostalgia was nice, my young kids could see what it was like when I stayed in a hotel when I was their age, The Falmouth feels like it hasn’t been updated and only ever been hoovered in the last 30 years.
I've stayed here before so the fact that I came back tells you everything. The rooms are comfy and very clean and even a little chic in some respects. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are excellent. Location is perfect, at the quiet end of town but still only a few minutes walk from the main drag. Also, if you're really lucky you get greeted by Teddy the hotel poodle upon arrival.
Excellent location for access to town of Falmouth and to beach. On top of the hill so steepish routes in either direction..
Hotel had a very warm and welcoming feel with excellent staff and a super fresh cooked breakfast. Hotel spotless and in very good decorative order, parking in hotel car park which is not always the case in seaside resorts. Quiet location with plenty of taxis if you dont fancy walking
Compact but pleasant double room on the ground floor with no sea view but French windows opening onto a little patio so great. Good breakfasts with a sea view! Fab location: on the sea front so Gyllyngvase Beach was right near by and we could also walk into Falmouth.
We were able to park in the hotel car park which was great, although there was free roadside parking available if we'd needed it.
Very nice room and bathroom, clean, comfortable and cosy. Lovely views of the coast and garden. Breakfast was good and the food I ordered for dinner was very good. Nice attention to detail and good service. The hotel is in a lovely location away from the hustle and bustle of Falmouth. But near Trebah and Glendurgan and the coastal footpath. Would stay there again.
Fabulous traditional Hotel. Great breakfast and Menu, comfortable room with lift access, helpful Staff and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. The location on the sea front is superb and parking is plentiful. A public bus service 67 runs from across the road on a circular route into Falmouth town throughout the day. Will definitely be booking a longer stay next year.
Great location in Falmouth near the beach but 10 mins from town center and restaurants. Comfortable room and bed and good WiFi. Breakfast was fabulous and it was good to be offered a bag to take a roll away for lunch. Plus a piece of wicked chocolate croissant bread pudding.
Staff were very helpful and friendly, but felt that it would have been nicer if a receptionist were able to meet us when checking in and out.
No leaflets or information found regarding Falmouth or no information regarding health treatments etc.in the hotel.
The location of the hotel is great ,also the staff and breakfast was great.
We have been staying here for the last five years and return later in the season as enjoy it so much.
Havent yet found another hotel in Falmouth that offers the same value .
Nice hotel, friendly helpful staff. Very good breakfast and we dined twice in the restaurant which was very good. A long steep walk from the town but taxis were easy to find to shuttle up and down the hill. Nearby Gyllingvase Beach is sandy and clean.
Friendliness of the staff. Cleanliness of the room. Cooked breakfast was delicious. Location was ideal for Falmouth town and beach. No sea view but I was aware of this and chose a twin room with no view over a single with sea view.
breakfast and our room were fantastically clean and the bonus was the sea view, location into Falmouth and the beach was just right and the hospitality was amazing. So friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Initial search was for hotels with Ev charging which there are 2 available at this hotel. But now I know where this hotel is I will definitely be using this hotel again on my next visit.(and for longer)
Gorgeous little house, beautifuly decorated in the heart of Falmouth with everything you need. We loved our stay and will definitely be back, great communication throughout.
