This modern Golf & Spa Resort is in 120 acres of parkland, located just off Highway A12, at the gateway to Suffolk’s Heritage Coastline and only 10 miles from Ipswich.

Could not use Swimming pool Which really should always be available when it’s just down to checking chlorine levels, as should be checked every couple of hours.

Hotel needs upgrading and refurbishing in every area.

Hotel needs upgrading and refurbishing in every area. Pool out of order for whole of our stay due to issue with chlorine levels which when I checked on TripAdvisor seems to be a regular occurrence.. Completely different and very limited menu options offered to the one advertised. This continued for the whole of our stay as there were some kind of problem in the kitchen and so we ate out after the first night. Don't bother upgrading your room as you will be very disappointed ...as we were.

Ideal location to explore that part of Suffolk.

Ideal location to explore that part of Suffolk. Not as expensive as staying in coastal properties. Close to the A12 for onward journeys. Nice mixture of shops, but none of the larger supermarkets nearby.

We very much enjoyed our visit to this lovely town with all...

We very much enjoyed our visit to this lovely town with all its independent shops and lovely nostalgic 'village' feel- such relief from the endless "Shopping Centres' with their bland offerings. There is a great selection of places to eat and the thriving Riverside Theatre/Cinema where we saw an arthouse film. We walked the River Deben: to see the Longship Project and excellent FREE Museum, then on for a day out at fascinating Sutton Hoo. Buses were a welcome surprise with easy trips to Aldeburgh and beyond. We travelled to/from by Train- excellent service and we loved the Station building with its thriving small businesses.

Friendly and sociable little market town.

Friendly and sociable little market town. Lovely walks with a good comfortable vibe even at night, felt safe. So many nice places to stop and sit and people smile which is a good indicator of the warm feel you get being there. It was a late autumn stay this time so next time I’d like to come in the springtime.

All aspects of the hotel were excellent, staff were very accommodating and helpful, food was delicious with my g-f/lactose free intolerances catered for easily with good choices on all menus, a gluten free loaf was provided at the end of my stay which was a real bonus! Our room was very clean and comfortable and extra pillows were provided upon request. The close proximity to the town centre meant that Christmas shopping was easy as our bags could be taken back to our room. Woodbridge has lots of individual shops, well worth a visit.

Good ambiance, The food was much above standard for a 2 star hotel. The position in Woodbridge is perfect. Woodbridge is a pretty town which has been qietly prosperous for hundreds of years. T Practically the whole place is listed, which means that it is hard to develop the interior of old places like the Bull, but I quite like that. The bar didn't have pool tables clacking or televisions flickering in the background, People talk to others when there is something to say. A proper meeting place.

Lovely setting with a holiday atmosphere and a great view. The trains did not disturb, and everything worked in the room. Windows easy to open & close, Great TV with remote not worn. Coffee / tea & biscuits. A chair & desk. Plenty of storage & a sensible size room, comfortable bed & good ensuite. A brilliant breakfast but only available after 0900 hours which suited me, but may not suit everyone. And the car parking works really well. I won't hesitate to return.

Needed to arrive early due to bad flooding across Suffolk...no problem. Air Manage Suffolk (agent) told us to go straight there and stay safe. Very nice response. Property was warm, exceptionally clean and had every facility you could require. Location was perfect as a base to see the area and within a 5 minute walk pick up an amazing takeaway from The Bengal in the square. Slept like a baby on Simba style mattress!!!

Exceptionally clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and great shower in the en suite. Really friendly host, very welcoming and accommodating. Good English food with generous portions both evening meal and breakfast. Check timings for both. Right by the A12 which suited our journey but as expected in this location, some traffic noise. This is a great little hotel and reasonably priced.

Fantastic modern apartment situated in a great location in Woodbridge. The kitchen and lounge area is great and provided a comfortable living space during our break. The apartment is well equipped and provides a home from home! The wharf area below is very nice with the coffee shops and restaurants and a great place for walks along the waterside.

It was peaceful, but still really well located for exploring Suffolk. There was so much to do without having to travel far at all. The cottage was well-appointed and spotlessly clean. Middy was amazing in welcoming us and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. It’s the perfect bolt hole to get away from it all.

The location was good, close to Melton and Woodbridge. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Used the swimming pool once and it was ok. We felt they should have cordoned off a swimming lane for those people who were obviously members and didn't like hotel residents using the pool!
