This hotel is very nice, and conveniently located close to the Acropolis and downtown Athens. We were only here for one night, but the bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The breakfast was delicious and there were a wide variety of foods to choose from. And the view from the restaurant/bar is phenomenal. It overlooks the Parthenon and the city. Even the stairwells at this hotel are gorgeous. A fun surprise at the hotel is an ancient wall that was discovered during renovations. You can actually go down and see this wall for yourself, which we did.

Athens is a fabulous city with very friendly people and delicious food at very reasonable prices. There are many places to eat with good quality food and prices to fit everyone's budget. Accommodation can be a little more expensive than some places, and generally, they do not have the best internet quality. It is a very walkable city and the subway system is easy to use. There are ancient architectural sites everywhere which are well looked after and well-organized!

Athens is a beautiful vibrant city with so much to see and do. The historical buildings, museums, parks, lovely squares, art and shopping. The food is amazing and there are lots of vegan places from street food to high end dining. The older areas are fascinating with the flea markets and street stalls. Very good budget places to stay right in the heart of the old city. Great transport options. I recommend a visit of 5 days minimum.

We travelled to Athens to see the monuments and were not disappointed. Walking around the Plaka, Psyrri and Syntagma districts and enjoying the views and food.
We felt safe walking around and there did appear to be police on every corner.

We stayed in Athens totally 3 days. 1 day on the way to Crete and 2 days on the way back from Crete. On the way back, the tourist season was started, and very busy every where. The famous spots were too crowded for us. 'No wait line' pre purchase tickets don't mean anything any more, and just had to wait to get in Acropolis. Athens airport staff shortage as well. Just check in, it took almost an hour. Prechecked in customers also had to wait on the same line for whatever the reason. That being said, the food was great. Most local people speak English and very helpful. So visiting low tourist season would be very nice place to visit. We visited in April.

The city contains what must be the most famous of archaeological sites in the world.
The city is busy and crowded, but the people are welcoming and the food is incredible. We took a 3-hour walking food tour of the Plaka and had the best time, and the best food.
Choose your location carefully, and it's walking distance to shops, restaurants, and historic sites.
Bring your walking shoes!
Exceptional accommodation which exceeded our expectations. We both agreed that this was one of the best places we stayed during our visit to Greece. Clean, comfortable, spacious, fantastic view of the acropolis, and the host left very clear and friendly instructions. She was also easy to communicate with. Apartment was also in a great location with Hadrian's Library just next door, with shops and restaurants just downstairs (no issues with noise though). We wished we could stay longer. Definitely our pick for our next visit to Athens!
This was such a terrific property that if we return to Greece, this will be our first choice in a place to stay. Norma, the host, is fantastic. She is a great communicator and did everything to make our stay fantastic. The apartment is well located and not more than 20 minutes from all the major sights. DO NOT RENT A CAR! Probably the best part of the apartment is the terrace. After a long day of sight seeing, relaxing on the covered terrace with a bottle (or 3) of wine was pure heaven. if going to Athens, stay here!
nice flat in athens, greece. The best host ever! Clean space and easy communication with them - I highly recommend staying here if you're planning a visit to Athens. At first glance it may seem like this apartment is just another boring hotel room but don't worry because your new home has all of amenities necessary for any traveler: comfortable bedding/ pillows ( Sheet panelles police!), free WiFi access along side kitchen amenities such as pots pans cups dishes etc., private bathroom complete wth shower.
the host Dimitri was a very friendly and polite person. he showed us around the rooms and explained everything also gave information on how to get around for different things. Overall my wife, kid and I enjoyed the stay and we would recommend it to other families looking to stay in greece. Very well located, there is a parking garage, supermarket in 350mts and metro station in 550mts. the best place to live in athens, not exactly in the centre yet you feel you have everything around.
All good things to say about Demetrios as a host and the location at Samou 10. We enjoyed a good breakfast every morning thanks to ample supplies in the fridge. He brought some spaghetti and sauce for our first night because our international flight arrived late. The last day he held our baggage for a few hours while we explored Athens. Great air conditioning units in the rooms and a nice balcony for breakfast. Overall, we loved our stay and felt very welcome in Greece.
Awesome in every way! The bed is so comfortable I never wanted to leave it! Everything was spotless! The studio has everything you might need for any kind of trip, the balcony is so spacious and the chairs are comfy. The walk-in shower is great, moving freely in the shower in Greece seems to be a problem, but not here. The host was so kind and accomodating! We'll definitely be back here for our next trips to Athens!
A 120 year-old building renovated into a gem of a hotel that breathes the history of the ciry with every fibre. It is situated right in the center of Athens with everything you need in front of your doormat. Sightseeing, culture, shopping, bars, … it’s all right there. The rooms are spacious and especially the bathroom… the best we have ever encountered in all of Greece!
The staff went beyond my expectations. They took the time to explain me how to spend my 2 days in Athens best and where to have my laundry done.
Also they have been the best in terms of (Covid) hygiene during my Greece trip (out of the 9 hotels i have visited so far).
Finally, there is a decent supermarket next door where you can buy water and snacks for a nice price.
Room larger than expected. Nice shower and comfortable bed. First hotel we stayed at in Greece that provided a washclotch, which was great considering how much we sweated. We arrived after reception closed and the hotel was very responsive about the process for late check-in, which was greatly appreciated. Good breakfast also. Can recommend this hotel.
This is a stunning hotel with the friendliest staff. We were upgraded to presidential suite and I cannot stay enough about the room. Beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable beds and our own private pool overlooking Acropolis. Rooftop restaurant was delicious. Made our trip to Greece even better. We will definitely be returning.
I really like the hotel staff, they went out of their way to help us. Special thanks to Irene, who wanted to make sure we were enjoying our trip and to give us advice. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. We had the best time in Greece. Big thank you to Athens star hotel!
After a late flight to Athens, it was a luxury to walk across the street to this hotel. And wow the room was super comfortable, very quiet and dark. The room and food was a bit pricier than the rest of Greece but that’s to be expected for a hotel with this proximity.
We arrived at the end of a 2-week trip in Greece and just loved this brief stay in Athens. Fantastic, lively neighborhood, with shops and restaurants, live music and scenic walking. The hotel offered an excellent, huge breakfast. Service was terrific.
Easy instructions from host about getting into the apartment. It is located in a central location in Athens so we were able to easily walk to different neighborhoods to explore. I would recommend this place to others if they are coming to Greece.
This hotel is my go to in Greece as I live on an island and whenever commuting back to NYC I say here always. It's like a huge home converted to a boutique hotel. No daunting reception desks and elevators. The value for price is fantastic.
Very well located, rooms are clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The owner was a delight, he took his time to sit with us and tell us all about Greece and Athens. We will definitely return.
The staff were so nice upon arrival and leaving. The hotel was beautiful and clean. They went above and beyond to accommodate us, very welcoming and friendly for our first time in Greece.
