Nice location, good cabins with hot shower. Set menu dinner was delicious and plenty. Prices are reasonable for food & drinks. Can swim around the river, and use free tubes. Helpful staff and good communication. Organized our boat trip to Livingston with no problem.

Place was lovely and so was the staff. About 20 minute walk from where the buses let you off or the lanchas. She helped to arrange a boat to Livingston and made pancakes in the morning for everyone at the hostel. Stayed there again after going to livingston I liked it so much.

Extraordinarily nice staff. Clean rooms, great restaurant.
I really wanted to like Rio Dulce. It turned out to be only a hub for boat and bus travel for me. Having spent two months in Guatemala by the time I got there, I was not surprised by the poverty or conditions. That said, I didn’t find much other than the castle to be places I wanted to see more of. It was very hot and humid in early July.

Beautiful remote location with many jungle lodges (from super remote to more public) along the river. Great jungle hikes, caves, kayaking with plenty of nature and wildlife. Definitely a required stop when visiting Guatemala, will visit again!
This was a great place to escape into the jungle for a few days. We absolutely had a wonderful time! The Naranjo bungalow was spacious and comfortable.. we enjoyed lounging in the hammocks and listening to the night-time jungle sounds. The kitchen produces wonderful meals; very big portions to very good value for money. The family that runs the hotel is super nice and down-to-earth.. they were very helpful for my wife when we had a small injury. Highly highly recommend this place. It is a haven!
The hotel is set along the shores of the Rio Dulce, but the rooms are tucked into the jungle/finca, giving guests the best of both the river and the surrounding environment. The rooms were emaculate, the staff was incredibly personable, and the hotel is situated perfectly; just outside of the busy city, but close enough to get there for meals/drinks. Also, the access to free kayaks allows for wonderful morning adventures, where we were lucky enough to spot two manatees breaching for air.
the place is nice but the bad experience I had with the front desk woman was very upsetting she discriminated me sayin I was a Guatemalan and she mistreat all of us referring us as chapines or guatemalians just because I ask about the extra fees I didn’t know and she said it wasn’t her problem if I don’t know how to read and much more very rude woman her name is fulvia Karina
Hotelito Perdido provides a great atmospheric stay at a riverside jungle lodge. The facilities combine rusticity with comfort. The vegetarian food is tasty and plentiful, and the communal dinners are lovely. There are plenty of excursions available and kayaks on hand at reasonable prices for independent exploration. Highly recommend!
Compared to most other places on the Rio Dulce, the price for both rooms and food was superb. The owner was lovely and the hotel was really cozy. You could pay 3Q to refill water and beer was a decent rate. More so we loved the access to free kayaks for sunset on the floating dock and we miss Doris the cat like hell. Xx
Boatique hotel is based on a very beautifull spot at Rio Dulce! You are surrounded by jungle and the Canadian couple really welcomes you very friendly! we were on honeymoon and got a room upgrade as a better room was available - Thank you so much for making our stay unforgettable!
Great place to unwind for a few days, you are in middle of a lake with no roads! be prepared to stay at hotel a lot of the time, staff only speak Spanish but I liked this as I’m trying to learn Spanish (use it as an opportunity to learn)
top hotel in a superb location, in the middle of the jungle, really very friendly staff!!! the best is the pool as you cannot swim in the river due to alligators, free lancha (boat) service for arriving and if you check out
Really comfortable and clean, wifi and ac worked perfectly. The hotel is really easy to find, there are lots of restaurants and shops around, big supermarket (with safe cash machines) is about 3 minutes walk.
Liesel was awesome and communicative. The food was outstanding (did a 4 course dinner with wine pairing), and the whole vibe of the hotel was relaxed and modern while still being an eco lodge.
Loved the setting, a hidden gem on the rio dulce, they have a free shuttle to take you from the puerto to the hotel. Rooms are nice, all open so you can wake up with the sound of birds.
The best part was the wonderful host Angela. Hotel located in a really idyllic place only a short ride out of town . Food excellent . Angela fantastic .
Great hotel .
The quietness of the location in the jungle at the edge of the mangroves was excellent. With the canoes we could easily go to the hotels dock for wonderful swims.
