Beautiful property right on the river! Able to swim, kayak, and paddle board . The food was delicious. Especially breakfast. You should Split ALL meals. They are huge and way too much for any one person. Beds are comfortable with mosquito nets as all spaces are open to the outside.

Place was lovely and so was the staff. About 20 minute walk from where the buses let you off or the lanchas. She helped to arrange a boat to Livingston and made pancakes in the morning for everyone at the hostel. Stayed there again after going to livingston I liked it so much.

I really wanted to like Rio Dulce. It turned out to be only a hub for boat and bus travel for me. Having spent two months in Guatemala by the time I got there, I was not surprised by the poverty or conditions. That said, I didn’t find much other than the castle to be places I wanted to see more of. It was very hot and humid in early July.

Beautiful remote location with many jungle lodges (from super remote to more public) along the river. Great jungle hikes, caves, kayaking with plenty of nature and wildlife. Definitely a required stop when visiting Guatemala, will visit again!
Amazing hotel in pure nature next to the river, 5-10 minutes boat ride from Rio Dulce town. Our stay was very relaxing, in the hotel you are surrounded by trees, flowers, water birds and animals. They have also great restaurant and swimming pool. Rooms very really nice, clean and comfy. The only downside was too much of light in the room in the morning - there are curtains over the windows, but only over the bottom windows. Then the room has also 2 big windows in the roof and there are no curtains, so the sun wakes you up really early :)
we enjoyed our stay at hotelito perdido a lot! we had the cabin 'naranjo' and loved it! it's such a beautiful and peaceful place. the little dock/pier is amazing for chilling right by the water, have a swim or tube in the water. the restaurant serves very good veg. food and the family style dinners are a nice way to get in touch with the other guests or to plan activities together.
the owner tim and is wife are very helpful and will book anything you need for you.
The staff were super nice and helpful. Lovely breakfast and very nice location. Great value for money. You can also rent a kayak, 10 quetzales for four hours, if you want to explore the river on your own or with a friend.
It was me and my travel partners favourite hotel during our month long stay in Guatemala.
I highly recommend staying here for a few nights!
very eco friendly place, but still comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We took a mini tour boat around the lake (independent vender, but reception staff have contact numbers), did a Kayak tour at 5:30 am in which we saw some hauling monkeys, and they have a nice hiking trWe did not eat in the hotel restaurant so can’t weigh in on that.
Free kayaks to swimming spot. Nice and knowledgeable owner. Food was good and often better value than in town. 10 minute boat ride to Rio Dulce town. No personal food allowed at the restaurant area, but there's tables near the rooms where you can eat your leftovers or snacks. Saw some small turtles in the mangroves and bigger ones at the swimming spot!
Nice staff and room! It is noisy die to the road but if you live in the city it is the same amount of noise.
We were so tired from our trip from Mexico city and went straight to Rio dulce it was easy for us to fall a sleep
Also pick up (collectivo/public boat) from the hotel to Livingstone and other river lodges
I enjoyed my stay in the hostel! I checked in at 11.30 pm and that was no problem at all. The room and bathroom were very clean, the wifi was decent enough to get some work done and Flor even warmed up my breakfast after my meeting ended. Would recommend it if you stay the night in Rio Dulce town!
Lovely rooms (incl airconditioning), nice pool, good food, great staff. After getting ripped of at the Boatique Hotel, this was a great alternative. We wanted to do the jungle walk before it was open due to a shuttle we had to catch. The staff organised that we could get in early.
No breakfast included so we always went to the back shop for coffee only. I thought it would be included considering the price and the custom of breakfast included in most Guatemalan accommodation
It was a great pool and overall the staff tried to do their best
Food and drink at the hotel is excellent, served with a smile and a chat. The restaurant overlooks the river so the view at meal times is fantastic. We really enjoyed being able to take a kayak down the river.
Really comfortable and clean, wifi and ac worked perfectly. The hotel is really easy to find, there are lots of restaurants and shops around, big supermarket (with safe cash machines) is about 3 minutes walk.
Situated right on the water, this hotel offered a beautiful restaurant, hammocks to relax in, and the breeze off the water was wonderful. The room was very clean, the shower had good hot water and pressure.
Liesel was awesome and communicative. The food was outstanding (did a 4 course dinner with wine pairing), and the whole vibe of the hotel was relaxed and modern while still being an eco lodge.
The best part was the wonderful host Angela. Hotel located in a really idyllic place only a short ride out of town . Food excellent . Angela fantastic .
Great hotel .
We stayed for 1 night to split the drive between Flores and Guatemala City. It was fine for that. Service was good. Extra large double bed was comfortable.
