The people/locals are extremely friendly and helpful.
Some of the bus routes/stops could have been clearer ie 225/226 from Cork City centre to the airport - random bus sign with no number marking outside a hotel however bus drivers were super helpful with directions.
The Blarney Castle was worth the visit if you like Gardens and history. Fitzgerald Park was a bit of a trek and wasn't really that exciting.. Good if you want some quiet time in nature in a OK park. However the English market is great with lots of choice of worldwide foods, seafood stalls were impressive and the poke bowls and sandwiches were also mega for takeaway options.

It was my first ever trip in Irland and Cork was a great introduction. I first visited the Nano Nagle Centre, then went up to Shanagarry for the night, had an amazing dinner at Ballymaloe before moving on to Blarneythe following day. Rising Sons Brewery is a great venue and the brewery tour is very interesting. Maureen's is also a great bar, very comfortable and the decoration is enchanting. Finally, Blarney Castle and Gardens are amazing.

Lots of hustle and bustle, there were a good amount of street entertainers/ buskers. A good selection of shops. The energy was great overall. I noticed a lot more homeless people than the last time I was there. A strong smell of pee from some of the streets.

We stayed in Cork because it was central to other things we wanted to see. That was a mistake. Cork is just a big city. Not overly pretty, not much to do. The English Market is very active and interesting. There are many restaurants and bars. We accidentally booked an apt on a busy street, and it was noisy all night. I wouldn't recommend anybody visit Cork.

The city is very clean and tidy.
The city is very clean and tidy. A visit to the stunning University College of Cork and the lovely Fitzgerald Park can take about half a day each as they are both so amazing. There is a public museum and cafe in Fitzgerald Park. There are many lovely views of the River Lee both in the city centre and around. There are lots of green spaces and the people were friendly. I only went for 3 days on a business trip but would have liked to have spent much more time there to see the other sights of interest such as the Blarney Castle, Cork Goal and Cobh - where the lovely coloured painted houses are. Two weeks in Cork would be ideal for me.
This hotel was an ABSOLUTE DUMP FILTHY DIRTY AND RUN DOWN --- Its like something from 1985
The Glossy Photos on Booking.com do not do its justice and its very misleading i wasnt expecting much from this hotel but we did pay €220 for 1 night - This hotel is a great example of RIP off Ireland - Absolute disgrace how this even passes health and safety regulations
The room was clean and comfortable although some areas needed some care and attention - a chipped top on the bedside table, and an exposed wall in the bathroom. I slept through breakfast, but the owner kindly made me poached eggs on toast. I walked into town with no issues on my last day and there is a bus stop that runs from just outside into the city centre.
Right in the city centre but very quiet at the same time, super new, the room is not very big (except for the bathroom/shower, best part of the room) but there are a lot of communal areas and services. Everything is super new. Good price vs many other accomodations. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommended to stay here
The public areas were lovely and modern, staff were very attentive and friendly. Location was a great bonus too, less than 10min walk into the city centre. Room was clean and housekeeping changed our towels and bedsheets for our 2nd night when we hung up the sign. We had lunch in the hotel and that was nice too.
Fantastic hospitality, highly recommend it! As a family of 14 we stayed for 2 nights and the location was great, very convenient to the city centre, and if you're by car, they're a car park straight across from the apartment. Q-park St Finbarr's. The staff was very helpful, and accommodating. Thanks, everyone :)
Beautiful hotel and great location. Has the only charging station that we saw in all of the southern half of Ireland. Ample space in the room. Staff was lovely. Restaurant was beautiful. We only had coffee as we ate out at local restaurants, but the coffee and biscuits were wonderful.
Maldron is a well-designed hotel in the heart of Cork. It provides both walking and transport to different parts of the city, and the staff is friendly and efficient. Breakfast was abundant and delicious and any questions we had were swiftly answered by knowledgeable staff.
Gorgeous, clean, spacious and modern rooms with art TVs, Nespresso machines, bath etc. Perfect city centre location in a quiet nook by the river. Friendly and accomodating staff that are very helpful. Lovely hotel if you want a bit of luxury, I recommended it.
All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, and we had a balcony that overlooked the river. Everything was comfortable and easy to access. The hotel is walking distance from the city centre and ideal. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Hotel with a historical flair. Excellent location in walking distance to the train station as well as the city centre. Our room was a bit hidden away from the elevators but we had a nice view on the river in exchange.
We traveled Ireland for 8 nights, our stop at The Dean was by far our favorite lodging. Staff was excellent and the room was perfect. If I'm ever on Cork again we will undoubtedly stay here again!
Hotel is clean and comfortable, location very good to access Cork city centre and surrounds, staff are excellent and always very welcoming and helpful. Food is very good also.
Grasslands was perfect for our family visit to cork. Only 25mins from the house to cork city centre. Great location for someone liking a quiet place. Very clean and modern.

Classy hotel with great tradition and local character. Location perfect for Cork City Centre. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Friendly staff. Great breakfast.
