For archeology lovers, Villa Jovis is the biggest imperial roman palace remaining on the island, with a beautiful hike through the outskirts of Capri town up to the Villa Jovis, and a gorgeous park next to it, Parco Astarita, with breath-taking views of the sea.
For hikers, you can hike along the western coast of the island from a lighthouse in the southwest (Faro) to Grotto Azzuro in the northwest, through diverse terrain of mediterranean forests, rocks and cliffs above the sea (sometimes scary), and ruins of old forts along the way.
Chair lift at Monte Solaro brings you to a great almost full circle view of the island.
Anacapri, the second town on this little island, has more diverse restaurant options relative to the chic Capri, with a short bus ride between the two.

We went in November so the weather was not great and many restaurants were closed. There were a couple options in Capri and a couple in Anacapri. Otherwise it was very pretty and a magical experience.

One more day would have been great.
One more day would have been great. We loved walking and exploring the island. We walked over to the other side and down to the water. The walk back up was not easy, but the weather was perfect. We took a taxi over to Anacapri to see the Villa San Michele and experience that side and really loved it. Restaurants are fantastic, people are great and the sights and sounds are so unique.

I absolutely loved Capri.
I absolutely loved Capri. There is so much to do both leisurely and adventure. There are plenty of hiking trails and ways to get “lost” around the tiny island if you want. And there are also several beaches, shops, tours and such that you could do for a week long. The restaurant scene is fantastic and the views from just about any part of the island are breath taking. The only downside is Capri is very pricy. You could easily spend € 70-100 on 2 drinks and a snack.

Capri is absolutely a wonderful place.
Capri is absolutely a wonderful place. The beauty takes your breath away. However, the prices are astronomical. €92 for two ceaser salads and two Coke.....! Ridiculous! The same meal in Ireland would cost €20! The taxis charges and everything really are ridiculously overpriced. However, the public transport is very fairly priced. The sights though makes up for it. Absolutely beautiful.
Great staff, beautiful hotel, delicious breakfast.
They have a transfer to and from the city center every fifteen minutes. A car can be arranged (cheaper than taxi) to take you from and to Capri’s port.
Unfortunately I only stayed one night, but 12/10 would recommend and come back.
It was my friend’s birthday and I asked for a candle at breakfast, they brought out a whole piece of a delicious lemon cake, with candle and sang happy birthday.
Our stay at Hotel Canasta far exceeded our expectations. Our stay was perfect. From the beautiful clean spacious room, to the wonderful staff at reception at breakfast and cleaning everything was wonderful. The pool was wonderful along with the scrumptious breakfast served on white linen tablecloths. It was a five minute walk from the centre of Capri. Thanks to everyone at Hotel Canasta for welcoming us to your home.
The 3 days spent with Tonino and Marisa at U' Pizzico guesthouse were the best of my 10 day vacation in Italy. Tonino and Marisa are extremely kind, warm, friendly. I felt at home with them. Tonino helped me a lot with advice on what to visit on the island. I really liked the room and the view from the window. It is wonderful to fall asleep and wake up looking at the city of Capri. Thanks Tonino and Marisa.
Fabio was the best host we’ve had. he made our itinerary and reservations at the best restaurants. he is like the prince of capri and knows everyone. you feel so special to be his guest. the hotel
is located right in the middle of the plaza square the best part of capri and east to get to via cable car from the ferry. the doors/windows in the room are sound proof so you are right above the action but it is quite.
This hotel surpassed every expectation I had for our trip to Capri. The location was fantastic. The service was exceptional, all of the staff were so kind. Even the food for breakfast was grown on the property and baked on site. It was absolutely one of our most memorable parts of our trip to Italy. Be sure to book here and watch the stars at night from one of the many places to sit in the garden.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff was more than accommodating! This is the best hotel experience I have ever had and I can’t wait to stay here again next time I’m in Capri. The hotel manager, John Pierre went above and beyond for my husband and I when we needed to stay a couple extra days. The hotel was clean and very comfortable and a short walking distance to everything.
We had such a lovely stay here. The staff are exceptional, the breakfast was definitely the best of all the 10+ hotels we’ve stayed at during our weeks travelling. The pool was great. We really really enjoyed this hotel - it’s nice and quiet and we had an amazing view of Capri. We also gratefully received an upgrade during our stay. We would definitely recommend staying here.
The hotel is spotless, very clean all over. The room was perfect with a great view of the Capri Bay. Just minutes from the main square of Capri town, you’re surrounded in shops, restaurants and café’s.
The breakfast was fresh and had more options then most. The staff are very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
we look forward to staying here again. A+ Recommend
Check-in was easy, the hotel was walkable from the ferry at Marina Grande and very acessible, the bus also stops right near the hotel from ana capri. The accommodations were beautiful. The pool was very well-kept and quiet, the hotel room was so spacious and very cool with AC. Breakfast every morning was delicious! I will stay again if I'm ever back in Capri 🇮🇹
Wonderful staff, we were celebrating having just got engaged and had decided to spontaneously stay the night in Capri. We were very pleased with out choice, the hotel was beautiful, the walk to the hotel breath taking and peaceful, all added to the romance and beautiful memories. The views are spectacular and we were very warmly greeted and looked after.
The location of the hotel was very good, very close to the center of Capri. All staff were very kind.
Breakfast was very good quality.
We really liked rooms with balcony. They stated that they upgraded our room, this was very kind.
Swimming pool area was very nice.
We would like to thank the reception and restaurant staff for their kind services.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Hotel Syrene. It is right in the center of Capri and next to all the shops. The hotel is beautiful and we loved our room. We ended up having 2 balconies with a sea view. The pool was great, but the view of the city from the pool was even better! I would definitely recommend staying here.
Apart from the weather we had a great trip to Capri , I’m sure the sun will shine the next time we visit.Staff in the hotel particularly friendly and helpful with good recommendations for restaurants . We’ve ate a hearty breakfast and a lovely lunch on the veranda on the Sunday of our arrival .
This hotel has a great vibe and atmosphere, with a focus on customer comfort. Location is great just a few steps from Capri town centre, shops, restaurants etc. There is a number of bueatiful hikes and walks which you could do directly from the hotel
Antonio went above and beyond his responsibilities to make our stay unforgettable and amazing. Antonio’s dedication and excellent customer service made us feel at home and our experience in Capri was our favorite spot for our trip in Italy.
im very disappointed with this hotel, when I come to Naples all the ferry was cancel because the bad weather I couldn’t go to Capri, I ask for refund but the management didn’t do anything.
Everything is very authentic, breathes Italy, the kitchen is small, but the space of the apartments allows you to feel normal. For Capri, it is the best option for an economical vacation.
Beautiful views. Nice location. Very comfortable room with cute little kitchen. Highly recommended little boutique hotel. Will stay again if ever get to go back to Capri!
