it has all what’s needed for a short stay and is close to the terms.
18 miles from Piazza del Campo in Rapolano Terme, Appartamento il castellare offers accommodations with access to wellness packages and beauty services.
This is a wonderful place to stay, enchanting. The people who own and run the castle are very hands on and seem to care very much about what they do - and how they welcome and treat their guests confirms this. Kacy, Anotonio and Martha were all very helpful and welcoming and made every effort to make sure that we were comfortable and had what we needed, including accommodating my dietary needs at the last minute. Our room was lovely too.
This is a beautiful castle in a such lovely location. My most impressive memory is watching the sunset in the distance, over the village roof tops, from the castle’s terrace, with glass of wine in hand. Breathtaking.
The castle offers dinner occasionally. We had dinner one night and it was very good. There are good places to eat in the village, within walking distance and also a local bar. The Castle offers an honesty bar. Our breakfasts were very good too.
We had a lovely stay and would like to think we will return.
It is heartening to see people caring so much about what they do and it shows in every aspect of the castle.

We stayed cl0se to Rapolano Terme in a quiet restored old farm houses with pool complex, surrounded by nature. Views are beautiful and nature seems well protected - we saw lots of wild animals: boars and their little ones, young deer, rabbits, etc.

Beautiful little town with excellent food and incredible sunsets.
Fabulous place to stay is B&B Villa Buoninsegna. Beautiful old stone buildings set on stunning grounds with 2 pools and excellent service.
A stand out for dinner was Sapori in Torre where the food is all made from local produce and was delicious. There is also an extensive craft beer selection. The owner was very friendly and went out of his way to make our night memorable. The view of the sunset from the restaurant is spectacular.
Great place to base yourself for exploring other areas Italy. A hidden gem.
What a treat to stay at Palazzo Bizzari for a night. You feel at home from the moment you step in this this stunning historical palazzo. The room, common spaces and the decor is just divine for a perfect Tuscan stay. Incredibly clean and it has all the amenities you need. The place exceeded all my expectations.
The host is super friendly, helpful and with an incredible knowledge of the history of the Town and the Siena surroundings. Highly recommend a stay at Palazzo Bizarri for a genuine Italian home experience. Grazie Giuliano!
We spent our honeymoon here and did not want to leave the place at the end of our visit.
Our hosts were very welcoming and guided us for the neighborhood villages and restaurants.
The breakfast was more than satisfactory with a lot of variety.
The location was in the middle of the woods with a lake nearby. It was very peaceful.
The place is a 30 minute drive to both Siena and Val D'orcia region, so very convenient to explore Tuscany.
Would love to stay here again.
A lovely modernised apartment in the old town and a great place for a short stay.
Little terrace with seating, looking in to the old square.
Good sized bathroom.
Convenient parking outside the apartment up to 8.00pm and then free parking in the multi storey parking just outside the old walls.
A few restaurants very close by and a short walk in to the modern part of town with more restaurants and the thermal baths.
Wifi worked well.
This location is simply amazing and gives everything for anyone who is looking for the real Toscana.
The room was spacious, with a comfortable large bed and bathroom.
The pools were also great especially on warm days when coming back from a tiring trip.
Best locations / villages are easily accessible by car from here.
However, our favourite was definitely the breakfast. Incredibly wide selection of local and premium quality foods.
Loved the location and the choice of multiple thermal pools. Also the opportunity to use the public sections before the daytime users arrived. The indoor hot pool was . . "Hot"!
The chap on the desk was very welcoming and very drole; always worth chatting to (not all staff were as welcoming as he).
Spa was excellent, and treatments/massages were expertly given. . . That's what you are here for after all.
Modanella is located on the hill with a beautiful view of Tuscany landscape.
We have stayed in apartment block, consisting of 4 separated apartments. We had two apartments of ~80m2 (by two floors). Each had 3 bedrooms with VW and shower + one salon with kitchen. So plenty of space for 5 person and a dog.
Swimming pool was big, clean and with cool water (perfect for hot days).
very welcoming and friendly owners.
The location is walking distance to Terme San Giovanni.
You can buy a day pass and enjoy different thermal pools with increasing water temperatures.
Few minutes drive to local restaurants rich of local specialty menu. Tuscany is king and queen of best chianina steaks.
Scenic views of vineyards and olive trees.
Very nice and cozy room. You can spend nice evening in peaceful garden with barbecue. House is located nearby city center, you can reach a plenty of restaurants only 5 minutes by car. Hosts are really helpful. Breakfast was very good.
Oreste and Catherine were wonderful, always ready to help, to give tips about Tuscany and taking care of our well being. The hotel is so beautiful and paceful that it is almost a dream. We love to be there.
I went on a cycling trip, and this is a good place in the heart of Tuscany to explore the surroundings.
The apartment is spacious, with a decently equipped kitchen, and backyard to enjoy the quiet.
Lovely old rural village converted into rooms - original and charming
Nice pool area, restaurant with view
Close to Siena, Pienza etc
Great room with balcony overlooking garden, big bathroom
This hotel really is one of a kind - a painstakingly restored medieval castle with a beautiful garden, a pool and perfect vistas of the Tuscan hills. An absolutely fabulous place!
