This hotel was incredible after 10 days of sharing accommodations on a group trip. The bathroom was a dream. The TWO above shower heads brought me back to life. The king size bed was so comfortable for a great nights sleep. The absolute best part was the wonderful concierge man who let me check in at 10:30am. I would have happily stayed at this hotel for over a week if I could have. Note I traveled alone and felt very safe walking around this hotel and staying here.

Our stay at Casa Morgano, now combined to be Scalinatella Hotel, was exceptional. The location is ideal, with the most magical view of the cliffs, the sea and the seagulls soaring between the two. There are two gorgeous pools with the most comfortable poolside recliners. You could very well never leave the hotel and be extraordinarily happy. The room was extremely spacious, with a beautiful balcony, an amazing view and the most gracious cleaning staff. This hotel is so worth it!

Capri is beautiful but being destroyed by greed. Over-development and far too many people descending on the island from cruise ships. And allowing tour groups of twenty or more people to crowd such tiny streets is ridiculous. It starting to feel like an outdoor shopping mall. A real shame, as, geographically, it is stunning.

We loved the Boutique Hotel Room.
We loved the Boutique Hotel Room. It was very Nice, and the owner Daniela, was very accommodating to us. We ended up arriving about five hours early and she was very gracious and allowing us to check in early. She even sat with us and helped us with many plans for dinner and finding taxis and the boat arena, etc..

For archeology lovers, Villa Jovis is the biggest imperial roman palace remaining on the island, with a beautiful hike through the outskirts of Capri town up to the Villa Jovis, and a gorgeous park next to it, Parco Astarita, with breath-taking views of the sea.
For hikers, you can hike along the western coast of the island from a lighthouse in the southwest (Faro) to Grotto Azzuro in the northwest, through diverse terrain of mediterranean forests, rocks and cliffs above the sea (sometimes scary), and ruins of old forts along the way.
Chair lift at Monte Solaro brings you to a great almost full circle view of the island.
Anacapri, the second town on this little island, has more diverse restaurant options relative to the chic Capri, with a short bus ride between the two.

We went in November so the weather was not great and many restaurants were closed. There were a couple options in Capri and a couple in Anacapri. Otherwise it was very pretty and a magical experience.

One more day would have been great.
One more day would have been great. We loved walking and exploring the island. We walked over to the other side and down to the water. The walk back up was not easy, but the weather was perfect. We took a taxi over to Anacapri to see the Villa San Michele and experience that side and really loved it. Restaurants are fantastic, people are great and the sights and sounds are so unique.
It all started great when Gennaro picked us up from the square, carried our luggage to the room. The room was 4 minutes walk from the main piazza. The room was excellent spacious and the shower with very strong water pressure. Very nice view of Capri too. Gennaro told us all there is to know about capri, told us tips for restuarants and even talked to the owner of the place we booked. He also booked us a boat trip with a very good company. This was by far the best booking i have made on my Italy trip. 100/100. Grazieeee
Capri, an island that attracts guests from near and far. Those looking for luxury, elegance and spectacular views will definitely not be disappointed here. A truly decadent experience with all the pseudo-rich and beautiful…..
Fortunately, Capri doesn't just have overpriced accommodation - there is a ray of hope:
The Hotel Tosca, a modest but wonderful hotel!
Ettore is a lovely man who does everything for his guests! First he corrected my booking error without further ado and welcomed us to the hotel with an aperitif!
The hotel is located just near the city centre which is an amazing location. The hotel is clean and provides you with great hospitality. They were kind enough to give my wife and I an upgrade as we were travelling for our honeymoon. They gave us a suite and honestly the views from the room were absolutely amazing!
Fabio and Paola were very helpful and guided us during our entire stay. The staff in general was very polite. If ever we visit Capri again - I don’t think I’ll want to stay anywhere else!
This hotel is in the center of town near the main square, the transportation hub, and between each end of the island. You do not have a sea view, but have a wonderful view of part of the city. The breakfast is great with hot eggs, hot and cold meats, pastries, yogurt, cereals, and condiments for all the foods. Anacapri is also beautiful; do not miss it! Transportation is either by public bus or private taxi to Anacapri.
The hotel location is excellent. It is right in the middle of everything Capri has to offer. Only issue is that the hotel room was 3 floors down from the main street. And there was no one to help move the luggage down the stairs.
Also the hotel does not have iron and hot water kettle in the room. When we asked, they said they don't have it.
The room was ok. The shower was very small but we liked the location.
We know Capri very well, and it was the first time in this hotel-our previous hotel has been converted to a mega-deluxe all-suites property for thousands of Euros a night. This hotel is very well located and nicely decorated and has a lovely front terrace cafe. Our room had a terrace that had a magnificent view towards the Faraglioni Rocks. A very pleasant, helpful lady sometimes on the reception desk.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff was more than accommodating! This is the best hotel experience I have ever had and I can’t wait to stay here again next time I’m in Capri. The hotel manager, John Pierre went above and beyond for my husband and I when we needed to stay a couple extra days. The hotel was clean and very comfortable and a short walking distance to everything.
The hotel's common area - reception, lobby, restaurant and pool area - are all amazingly decorated and overlooking beautiful Capri. The location is just a 7' walk from the Piazzetta's main square therefore I would rate the location 10/10. Anyway all hotels located around the Piazzetta and are sea view are great. The hotel's lunch menu as well as breakfast is good.
The room is awesome, very clean and spacious. The breakfast is good. I would like to do a public praise to Roberta, she is the best in this hotel. She helped us with the luggage, funicular and booked us the restaurant. She gave us all the information before we arrived in Capri. She was fundamental for our best experience in Capri. Thank you so much!
The hotel staff were all amazing. They all welcomed us upon our arrival. They helped in booking the best restaurants and beach clubs in Capri and were always going out of their way to help us. The location of the hotel is amazing the rooms are very clean and spacious. The pool is amazing and the breakfast was one of the best in Italy
Costanza was such a nice host, helpful and fully devoted to make our stay a wonderful experience. Value for money was excellent for Capri terms and I would definitely recommend this accommodation for anyone who wants to explore beautiful Capri without overspending on the posh hotels. We will definitely come again.
On our way to Capri, we received an SMS that the shuttle would be waiting for us at the port. Then the staff welcomed us to the hotel, and they were so lovely! The hotel had a fantastic view, plus a perfect private beach, shuttle service all day, breakfast was delicious, and the view was amazing from every angle.
View is beautiful and some of staff are helpful lady serving at pool very nice and friendly, Antonio is lovely and helpful too.. quick taxis to get out, capri is amazing but this hotel may ruin your experience, get out to Capri town, Anacapri and go see blue caves to make up for a horrible stay.
The property was well kept and clean. Rooms were big compared to other places we have stayed in Italy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and the staff in there so helpful. I would come back to this hotel.
Nice hotel with a good location (port) convenient to visit Capri. The staff was very welcoming and cheerful. Nice room with a terrace with a view on the port. The restaurant on the roof was worth trying (excellent parmigiana!)
This property has stunning views. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We had our best meal of the entire Italy trip at the hotels restaurant, just delicious.
im very disappointed with this hotel, when I come to Naples all the ferry was cancel because the bad weather I couldn’t go to Capri, I ask for refund but the management didn’t do anything.
The view was fantastic!! My balcony looked down on Capri Town and Marina Grande! And the hotel was a short walk from the main square. Great breakfast with fabulous view, too!
Beautiful family run hotel. Nothing was too much trouble, so helpful. The pool was a huge bonus and the whole hotel was so beautiful, like an oasis in the middle of Capri.
