Easy to find, 24-hour check-in with outside machine. Simple, basic, modern rooms with clean and modern bathroom. Decent but not great breakfast (varied offerings, but same eggs and vienma-type sausages as hot dish each day, veggies limited to cherry tomatoes and stale cucumbers, only fruit was oranges and apples). Ice machine (for cups only) in lobby. Good drinks and frozen entrees available for sale with microwave available). Staff was overall excellent, though.
GombitHotel is set in central Bergamo, a 2 minute walk from Santa Maria Maggiore Cathedral. It offers air-conditioned rooms with minibar, TV and free Wi-Fi.

The hotel is in a beautiful building with very unique and stylish interior design. In the heart of the old city a perfect location for all the sights walking distance from the funicular to go down to the lower city. Our room was spacious and very comfortable with everything we needed and all the staff were very helpful.
Offering air-conditioned rooms, La Castellana Loft Hotel offers rooms and apartments spread around the center of Bergamo and up to 1312 feet from the main building.

The arrival point of low-cost airlines with cheap flights to Milan, beautiful Bergamo is a tourist destination in its own right. In the foothills of the Alps, the city is spread over 2 levels. The main sights are in the upper level, or Città Alta, where sloping, cobbled streets open into pretty squares.
One such square is Piazza Vecchia with its sidewalk cafés, beautiful library and elegant Palazzo della Ragione. Through its arches is the Cappella Colleoni, an impressive chapel with an ornately sculpted façade and even more ornate interior. The nextdoor Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore has awe-inspiring frescoes.
Surrounding streets contain several Bergamo old town hotels and B&Bs, while surrounding the whole upper city are 17th-century Venetian walls. There are still remains of the Rocca, the castle that guarded them, and there is also a castle in San Vigilio, a hilltop village reached by a cable car.
A cable car also descends to the modern town, Città Bassa. Nearby is the Accademia Carrara, a fine art gallery, across from the GAMEC modern art museum. The Serie A club Atalanta FC plays in a stadium to the northeast, while southwest is the train station where buses to Orio al Serio Airport depart.
Booking.com has several Bergamo hotels near the airport and the neighboring Orio Center shopping complex.
Views were spectacular!! Bergamo Città Alta is hilly so flat shoes a must. Also cobbled streets. Lovely little shops and boutiques and of course any number of restaurants, cafes and bars. Architecture was amazing. The funicular was a great ‘tram’ to bring you up to the higher levels of the Città Alta.

Bergamo is a very easy city to navigate and is not too swamped by traffic. Very clean and friendly. The old town part of the city - Citta Alta - was beautiful, very atmospheric with lots to see and plenty of restaurants. Bergamo is also a great base to travel elsewhere in the region by train, Milan less than an hour away and Verona around 2 hours distance. Transport around the city to the train station if needed or to the airport are cheap and very regular.

Bergamo is a totally worth a visit.
Bergamo is a totally worth a visit.
The old town on the hill has amazing views and the funicular it a great experience to go up the hill.
The same bus ticket is used for the funicular and use bus 1 to go up and return.
Just ensure you have sufficient time on the ticket.
Great restaurants in the old town and although a bit pricey it is well worth it.

The old city is 20min by taxi from train/bus station.
The old city is 20min by taxi from train/bus station. You can take public transport but due to time we didnt try this. Bergamo old city is on a hill and you can go by car but most go by the funicular. There are only 45 persons per trip which takes 10mins but there is often a queue so best to ensure plenty of time if you are on a tight schedule. You can see most of the old town within 1-2 hours. The highlights are the churches and the restaurants. Some of restaurants serve traditional Bergamo food and wine and is definitely worth trying. They have a traditional pasta Scarpinocc, which is like a ravioli stuffed with cheese, bacon and meat. Rabbit with polenta was delicious. Wonderful food! Summary: you can see Bergamo in a day and its worth the trip

The city are 2 different cities in fact - on the hill there is historical Citta Alta with narrow streets, beautiful churches and a breathtaking view from the city walls and under the hill there is a modern Citta Bassa - full of shops, restaurants and hotels. You can travel between them comfortably with a bus or a railway.
This Hotel was a very pleasant surprise for us as we did not expect the hotel to have such modern and comfortable facilities in the old town of Bergamo, we did not want to stay in lower Bergamo, as a consequence we were prepared to forgo some comforts in order to stay in the Upper Town, the Gombit accomodation we decided on was above our expectations, modern, comfortable amazing size room and fantastic staff. We in fact have to say that this hotel was the best one we used during this four week travel through North of Italy and Paris.
Anna, the owner was absolutely amazing! Collecting us from Bergamo Airport for a small fee. And also met us after we checked out as my other half left his passport in the room, she drove to train station to drop it to us.
The property is beautiful and very comfortable. In a great location only 20minute walk to train station, which we used to visit Lake Como, Verona and Milan.
Breakfast was put together very well and plenty of choice 😋
We will definately be returning next year to explore some more of italy and see Anna ❤️

Free bag storage even before check in and after check out.
This was our second time in lovely Bergamo, 2 years ago we stayed on the way of Citta Alta. But I would definitely recommend this hotel who are looking for a nice and convenient stay.
First of all Riccardo the host is amazing, he picked us up from the airport on our late night flight and he was at our service 24h. Kids realy liked him bcs he wellcomed them with nutella and candys. Apartmant has 2 seperate bedrooms, kitchen and toilet all renewed and extremly clean, fully equiped, better than any hotel in Italy. Location is easy to find when one is walking in Bergamo, 10-15min by foot from central station where you can take the train for Milano or bus to go visit old town of Bergamo.
The Albergo 900 is good value and well suited to an overnight stay. It’s within walking distance of Bergamo old town (although there are a few steps!) and the train station. A taxi ride to Milan Bergamo airport from the hotel costs about €30 and takes about 20 minutes. The hotel staff are very helpful and will arrange transportation for you. The rooms all have free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. While it’s not a luxury hotel, it’s a decent choice for a night or maybe two.
Room was looking great, clean and furniture was ok. Bathroom was clean, towels ready, bed was comfortable. There was also some kitchen equipment to use (we did not, because we did not need to). Everything was nice overall. Best thing was DANIELA (host/owner). She was very nice woman, she explain everything to us and was really helpfull (we got some issues in Italy). She really help us a lot, despite we are strangers to her basically. So we are very thankfull.
Perfectly located in the centre of the beautiful old town of Bergamo. The area is truly amazing surely on of the nicest parts of the whole of Italy. Very comfy bed and spacious room and lovely bathroom. Staff were extremely friendly and did everything they could for us! Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were also 10/10. We would love to return to beautiful Citta Alta and if we did we would stay here again. 10/10 :)
The apartment is really nice and spacious. It has different rooms that are rented and a shared kitchen. It was located in a good and quiet area close to Central Tran Station, La Citta Alta and close to the pedestrian are of Bergamo. Our room was spacious and clean and our stay there was extremely pleasant. The host was really nice and the communication was perfect.
The building itself, lovely old house with modern touch. The staff really nice, helped us with the transfer to the airport, recomandations for things to do and to eat in Bergamo and prepared a "to go" breakfast for us as we had an early flight. Close to some good places to eat or drink. Alta citta, a must when în Bergamo, few bus rides away.
A lovely hotel with large rooms, spacious bathrooms, and a great breakfast selection. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfect for getting up to the old town, and having the airport bus right outside was a real bonus! We will most definitely return to this hotel when we return to Bergamo.
The apartment was really nice. Perfectly fit for a group of friends or family. Mr. Rafaell was very kind, he told us every detail about the house and neighborhood. The place is located very close to the cable line for Citta Alta and the bus station for the Bergamo airport line.
Nice place in the center, big room but slightly difficult to find. its a bit expencive but Italy are not so cheap, so I guess its what you can expect. You have restaurants nearby and its walking distance to the funicolare, to see the old town, which is a must
Wonderful hotel and location. Less than 10 minutes (on foot) from the centre of Bergamo (and perhaps 30 from Citta Alta). The staff were incredibly hospitable and flexible when I needed to make changes to my booking. The free breakfast was fantastic.
Lovely accommodation right in the heart of the Citta Alta in Bergamo. Friendly and professional staff. Fabulous view of the hills on your way out the door each morning. Would definitely stay here again!
It was perfectly located in the old town of Bergamo, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was exceptionally clean and decorated nicely. The breakfast was delicious and a nice buffet.
Super cuuuuuute apartment, perfect for up to 3/4 people, but also very cheap for a single person. Quite close to the airport (perfect to go on foot), and only 3km away from the Città Alta of Bergamo
Perfect localization of a hotel. Great and very helpful staff. Very nice room in a perfect area, close to Bergamo Citta Alta attractions. We also had a great view from our room.
