The hotel location is excellent with beautiful views from the room balcony. Far enough away that it is quite and peaceful but not too far that you can't walk downtown (about 30min). The staff was exceptional - always friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was very good and convenient. My kids devoured the breakfast. Overall, an excellent stay.

The staff was so knowledgeable and helpful regarding trains and buses. The chefs preparing breakfast were knowledgeable as well and gave us baggies when we had to leave early for adventures. The woman on the rooftop bar was beautiful and amazing herself.

The town of Sorrento has gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque architecture, and a wide variety of restaurants, shops and cafés. The town is clearly a favourite tourist destination; at times it was heaving, so unless you love the crowds, I'd avoid peak summer! It was wonderful just to walk around the town, bars/restaurants/hotels aplenty, but great to get away from it all by an hour+ walk to a more secluded couple of beaches.
Our boat trip to Positano and Amalfi was a highlight; we chose the more expensive 12-passenger option with an informative, friendly guide and experienced skipper; we couldn't face being one of many on one of the bigger boats, but each to their own.
A guided hike along part of the Path of the Gods was fabulous too. It was very overcast, so the views weren't so spectacular for us, but it was still a magical experience. Again, pick your times as it can be more like the 'highway of the Gods' as our guide suggested.
It was a more expensive holiday than I had first planned, but we went with it, enjoying the heat, the sunshine, the friendly people, the great Mediterranean food and drink.

Sorrento provides an excellent water gateway to the Amalfi coast, Capri, Ischia and Naples as well as land access to the Archeological sites in the area. Road access to Naples airport has lots of traffic and delays to the airport can cost you with missing your flight.
Sorrento setting is beautiful but the center is extremely touristy, a common issue with many picturesque towns and villages in Europe but it is a reasonable alternative to staying in Naples.
There is a train to Naples that stops at various points along the way from Sorrento but we didn’t use it. Hotels on the hills above the town with their magnificent views are somewhat isolated from the center and are not easily accessible without an expensive taxi or a frequently running hotel-provided shuttle.
But as long as you understand the issues of getting around a stay in Sorrento can be very enjoyable.

We loved Sorrento, especially the old town with all the lovely shops and little alleyways.
Sorrento is quite small when your accomodation is located in the old town, everything will be less than a 8 minute walk away, and it is very easy to get around.
The food was incredible, we recommend Semola Pasta, Radical for a nice breakfast, Bellevue Sirene for a romantic dinner in front of an unbeatable ocean view. For ice cream we recommend Raki. Food wise in Sorrento you can't go wrong, truffle pasta, pizza and gelato are available!
The town itself is like a postcard. You will see lemon trees, bougainvilliers and orange trees in every corner.
May/early June is a good time to visit, otherwise with the heat it becomes less enjoyable.
this little B&B is an absolute GEM!! Clown to everything, train, beaches, restaurants, shopping!! each morning your lovely hostess prepares a special breakfast just for you... traditional Italian with customization for your preferences, along with a lovely cappuccino!! or 2!! private patio with a roof top lounging area (private) with lovely views, topped with an excellent shower (hard to find in Italy!) and the most comfortable bed we found in Italy. we will absolutely be back to enjoy this family villa in the heart of Sorrento !!
Absolutely amazing property. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Every staff member we met was kind and helpful. Our farm to table was perfection. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, just as pictured. The beach was perfect. We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle board to explore the cove. Our children loved dinner exploring the property and did not want to leave. Truly a great way to experience Sorrento away from the huddle and busses. We have tracked across Italy and our stay here has been our favorite. We will be back!
The first stop in Italy is such a perfect hotel, spacious design rooms, lovely staff, and a daily surprise breakfast. What's more perfect is the location of the hotel, located in the center of the city, whether it is shopping, eating, or going to the dock to sea, it is very convenient, walk within ten minutes to reach! Driving is also very convenient, the hotel provides personal parking service, do not need to worry about ztl problems and grab a parking space, highly recommended!
amazing place, great views, really attentive hosts, very generous breakfast- best we had in Italy. great pool, beautiful area of Sorrento. quiet - 20 min walk from center. hosts offer free shuttle on request but we preferred walking as the area was lovely. our room was much better than on the pictures. not sure if other rooms are so good, but our was lovely! we loved everything there and want to come back. don’t trust google maps- the apartment location there is marked wrong ;)
By far our favourite place we stayed in Italy. The host Anna and her family were amazing providing everything we needed and more! The breakfast here was amazing and we deeply regret not opting for dinner as well. The house itself is amazing with nice comfy rooms with air conditioning and well-stocked fridges. Sosò is in a perfect quiet location and only takes 15 minutes to walk to the centre or a 5-minute walk from some of the best restaurants and nice bars Sorento.
Our stay in Hotel Bristol was by far the highlight of our trip to Italy. The staff were incredible and always willing to help, also very friendly which was nice and made us feel welcome. The hotel itself is in a great location - close enough to the centre to be able to enjoy Sorrento by walking but just far enough that you get great ocean views and a bit of quiet to sleep. The whole experience was very relaxing and made our anniversary very special - thank you!
My husband and I were very impressed by the staff’s attentiveness and how they went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We traveled throughout Italy for our honeymoon and this hotel was by far one of our favorites. The breakfast was amazing. The rooms were clean and spacious. There was even a driver to take you to and from Sorrento. I would defiantly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Sorrento. We hope to be back one day!
An absolutely gorgeous home, set on beautiful grounds overlooking Sorrento Port and Mount Vesuvius. Fantastic location as well, close to everything you need. A wrap around terrace allows amazing views from both bedrooms (which are huge). Very spacious and Fabiana was such a helpful host. Thank you for letting my family and I stay in this beautiful space. We thought it was the best accommodation of our entire 2 weeks in Italy.
This hotel was a great stay while in Sorrento on our tour of Italy. It was a little walk up the hill on the way out of Sorrento on the way to Sant Agata. The hotel was very clean and the pool and sun terrace were great. The breakfast and evening meals were also good As part of the holiday we had a car and we had to pay for parking ,however, it was only €10 per night. We stayed for two nights on our way further down south.
Our host Bruno was absolutely amazing. He gave us a great welcome with home made cookies and a bottle of wine. He gave us great recommendations for food and even got us reservations. He had great tips for Sorrento but also all around Italy. The room itself was great. Extremely clean and well maintained.
Magical place in the heart of Sorrento. Federica was the best possible host all over Italy, her advice, tips, and kindness made us had an amazing experience during our stay. Corso38’s location can’t be beaten. if you visit Sorrento you NEEED to stay at this property.
We stayed in Sorrento for 2 nights as part of a longer trip through Spain and Italy and this place has been by far the best.
The room is so cozy and super clean and Sabine and Nadia, our hosts are incredibly kind and always go the extra mile to make you feel home.
Beautiful room with lovely view. During our almost 3 week Italy trip this hotel was the nicest. Breakfast was unbelievable, with more choices than we have ever seen for a breakfast included hotel. Waitstaff professional and impeccably dressed.
The hotel was a great location, very close to the train/bus stop, it had the most comfortable bed I have slept on in Italy so far. It is super close to the city center, easy walk to access the beach, and shopping.
The best hotel we stayed at during our 10 night, 6 location southern Italy anniversary vacation. Excellent location just blocks from the seaside main street with its restaurants, shops, and beautiful views.
best place to stay in Sorrento. I have been telling everyone about how friendly. beautiful and the exceptional service at Romantic Relais Sorrento. our favourite place to stay in Italy
Excellent breakfast -probably the best we have experienced in Italy.

The view.
Really really lovely people who work there

This hotel was perfect for us! Last minute stays. Total 6 days out of our 12 days in Italy. The staff could not have been more helpful. They handle everything for you.
