Some good restaurants all very close. The property is near the beach but the sand beaches are about 20-25 minute walk. Don't attempt to get a train from the airport to Alcantara train station. It is quite a walk away from the property and there are no taxis. The bus depots are 5 minutes walk from the property. Here you can board all day trip excursion buses and also the bus back to Catania Airport.Guest review byJackett - 10.0

It was very pretty and the people were very friendly and helpful. Full of history and interesting places nearby but a place you could relax and unwind. Our favourite restaurant was Lido de Angelo which was a 10minute walk from the apartment. It had a special Tourist menu at 29euros but believe me it was delicious. And the house wine at 5euros a glass was superb. In fact drink local wine its lovely. You could sit on a balcony and watch the sunset and listen to the waves. Stunning. Also try the Hop On Hop off bus which goes along the promenade at 16euros it is tremendous value. You get to Taormina and then Castelmora (which is a must) plus Savoca, where the Godfather was filmed. Visit Isola Bella too. The beach is rocky but it is such a beautiful place. A local bus from Giardini Naxos will get you there at only 4euros. Also try a local boat trip at 40euros. For two hours they show you the coastline and it is very jolly. The owners are superbly nice and friendly people, both speak English apart from Italian and other languages, they are very accommodating and serving excellent breakfast in the mornings, the food in Sicily is out of this world. There is a free and secured parking on the property. The visiting guest were also nice and respectful.
