Beautiful area (great views, hikes, and restaurants), but be aware that getting around can be difficult. The roads are narrow and chaotic, and parking can be hard to find. So, most people don't recommend driving. However, the public transportation along the coast is not great either. There are a few regular bus routes, but they run infrequently and are usually too full to allow everyone on, so you end up waiting a long time for an empty enough bus to arrive. We walked as much as possible.

Priano is very small, so it is less expensive than the other cities close by. The church and the local neighborhood around were enjoyable. The fine restaurants were very expensive, and the moderate priced restaurants were hit and miss.

We love Priania we have been there several times and it never disappoints. It’s a small town but everything you need is there the bus service to Positano and Amalfi is very handy. We were disappointed that the ferries weren’t operating yet so we didn’t get to Capri but all the more reason to come back again.

There's not a lot to do in Praiano itself but it's a great place to stay for day trips to Positano and Amalfi with frequent buses stopping in the village. It was good to be away from the crowds in the evenings and whilst small the choice and standard of restaurants was good

Buses to and from neighbouring Amalfi and positano are cheap...

Buses to and from neighbouring Amalfi and positano are cheap but don't necessarily arrive on time !! Tickets must be purchased in advance at little shops. The locals are very friendly and happy to point you in the right direction and if you need help with the steep stairs take the little local Bus for one euro that runs exactly in time and to listen to the locals is a joy. Such a community feel and a great feel good boost !!

The Sentieri degli Dei was my favorite.

The Sentieri degli Dei was my favorite. We walked from Praiano to Positano and had lunch in Nochelle. The walk up the to the church and the views were wonderful. The little town on the hillside was clean and bright and wonderful for anyone who does not mind walking up and down many steps. I would recommend that future travellers not spend much time in either Positano or Amalfi. Both were crowded and very touristy.

The host was friendly, and did her best to answer my questions. No english was spoken, so we used Google translate, which was fine. In a quiet location with some good views once you get outside. The fan provided was quite strong which was nice. One thing to note, is that Praiano is not flat ... There are quite a few stairs to climb to reach the accommodation - this was not an issue for me. The breakfast provided consisted of pastries, and there was an espresso machine. There are two supermarkets a short walk away which was very convenient.

Beautiful hotel in between Positano and Amalfi. Sizable rooms with plenty of closet space and good housekeeping services. The breakfast and pool bar service is excellent. Hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to Praiano and Positano; however after 19:30 you are depending on taxi and the fares are steep. We hired a driver for day excursions. Concierge service can be sketchy; they were either overwhelmed or too relaxed. Great place to chill and enjoy the privacy of the location and the infinity pool. The views are fantastic!

Everything! The apartment was clean and spacious. Had the most amazing view of Praiano and Positano. Had all the amenities described (AC, 2 full bedrooms, kitchen, balcony) and more (Sandra had fruits and water in the kitchen, left all the bathroom products for us). Sandra was also so resourceful and helpful whenever we needed it - helped us book a cab transfer, help arrange for a reservation, gave us directions and lots of recommendations… It was honestly one of the best apartment stays I have ever had in Europe!

The location and views were outstanding - if anything, better than the website was able to convey. Views both towards Praiano and in the other direction towards Positano, from different parts of the hotel are just mesmerising! The height above the sea is incredible - thank goodness for the lift to the beach club. The rooms were very nice too, and the terrace by the bar was lovely. The staff were also really helpful and welcoming (apart from the restaurant manager)

The location was amazing. Praiano is the prefect place on the Amalfi Cost to unwind away from the business of Positano. There are gorgeous and quiet beaches close by, with lovely little restaurants. We hired a scooter from a little place close by, and this is definitely the best way to get around. If you prefer the bus, this is literally 30 metres from the front door as well. Flora the host was lovely, and very responsive and helpful with everything we needed!

Everything!!! First, the location - La Pría is a little sanctuary within the hustle and bustle of the Amalfi Coast, but so close to still enjoy all the attractions. We loved being so close to a little public beach and beautiful swimming area. The family who own this hotel are delightful. Martine assisted us ( in perfect English) with advice, suggestions, bus tickets and history of the area. Nonna makes the best food and the breakfasts included are to die for.

This is one of the best hotels we have ever visited. From a very friendly and attentive hospitality staff, stunning views, an extremely well-kept property, and a fantastic breakfast, Tramonto D’ Oro has it all. They even provided a breakfast to go since we had an early departure on the last morning. Not sure we’ll ever visit the Amalfi Coast again, but Tramonto would certainly be the main reason why.

The view and spacious balcony exceeded our expectations. Perfect view, ocean front. We were not far from water, only a "tier above', and if you know amalfi than you know that proximity to ocean is most important. Each day clean linen was delivered and the air conditioning worked well which can be challenging commodities in italy hotels.
