Very good location to visit the Syracuse-Ortigia and the Baroque cities Modica- Ragusa-Sciccly and Noto. We where in Ragusa Ibla, very cozy old Baroque city with good restaurants ( even for Michelin Lovers there where 2 restaurants with stars ) For doing the tour of the Baroque cities you need a car and to driving and parking in the narrow streets you have to kbe not sressy and concentrated. Also good for your work out , there are many stairs up and down in the city.

Ragusa itself is a beautiful town and very walkable, I'd recommend three or four nights to do it justice. As a town it feels like tourism is an 'add-on' and therefore feels very genuine and Sicilian as are the restaurants all of which we thought were excellent. The only downside is the public transport, to go anywhere outside of Regusa we found to be quite a challenge as basically you have to rely on taxis, however maybe the transport issue is what has kept Regusa such a beautiful place so its not all bad!!!

Ragusa is an enchanting hill town in rural Sicily.
Ragusa is an enchanting hill town in rural Sicily. It is surrounded by steep gorges, with the town spreading up three steep linked hills. It's a fantastic place to spend a few hours exploring the narrow steep streets. We found some wonderful shops - intended for tourists, but good value. There were also fantastic eateries and the local people we interacted with all seemed charming and helpful. We ate dinner in La Bettola in Ragusa Ibla, which was delicious and great value.

Ragusa has two parts to it, the old and new.
Ragusa has two parts to it, the old and new. The old city is very beautiful and interesting to explore. The main street is fun with restaurants, shops and a park at the end with wonderful views of the valley and mountains beyond. We did not go up the hill to the new city however so we cannot characterize it.

I loved Ragusa, the roads are difficult with a larger vehicle but this shouldn’t put you off just research your routes and think about where accessible parking can be found. The new town is interesting but not touristy whilst the old town is a lovely labyrinth of medieval street and lanes with beautiful Baroque architecture. There are restaurants worth searching for and we particularly enjoyed the ‘5 senses’!
An absolutely fantastic apartment with no doubt the best view from the terrace over Ragusa Ibla. I mean truly breathtaking! Gianni, our host, was an absolute diamond - from directing us to nearby parking and meeting us there, to telling us about the town and giving us lots of useful tips, to checking how we're doing during the stay. A warm and lovely man! The apartment has everything you might need, including a kitchen and washing machine, and two bathrooms. The terrace is just breathtaking. One of the best places we've stayed :)
lovely hotel in a quiet location in Ragusa superiore. Not a lot of rooms, so it felt really personal. Fabrice on reception is excellent. Good English, I think he said his native language is French and he obviously speaks Italian. Our room had a lovely view out over Ragusa Ibla.
No need to set an alarm clock, the church opposite played the most delightful peal of bells at 8am, wish I'd recorded it!
Best location for Ragusa Ibla. Easy parking on the ring road and a quick walk through a passage built into the cliff and you are in the hotel. The back of the hotel has a door to the old part of Ragusa Ibla where, only a couple of minutes walk away, the restaurants, cathedral etc. are located.
Amazing bathroom and a good view over the valley from the room.
Lovely breakfast and friendly staff.
The property was amazing! In te centre of Ragusa Ibla, very pretty, cozy, clean, modern. Gad all the ammenities we could imagine. The best place in all Sicily! And the owner, Guiseppe was amazing! He reserved a parking space for us near the apartment, came to meet us, and he was just amazing!
We are so thankfull meeting you Peppe!
Hope to see you soon, would recommend 100%!!!!!
It’s a beautifully renovated property in Ragusa, within walking distance of Ragusa Ibla. It was comfortable, fantastically clean, a very attentive staff, superb breakfast. The property has a beautiful garden, a small pool and several patios to relax after a long day of walking and sightseeing. We’re looking forward to staying there again.
If you are staying in Ragusa, you must stay in Evoca. Pepe was such a lovely host and the entire B&B was beautiful. Our favorite stay during our Sicily trip! It’s centrally located with only a short distance to the center, and the view is stunning. Breakfast was incredible and every little detail made our stay fantastic !!!
The hotel receptionist was LOVELY, HELPFUL made us feel immediately at home! She helped us with parking AND made a restaurant reservation for us! 5 STARS! The rooms were spotless! The view over the Ibla was breathtaking AND as we requested! Breakfast was DELICIOUS and plenty full! Will highly recommend! THANK YOU!
The B&B is situated in Ragusa Alta, just act the ravine from Ragusa Ibla. My room was comfortable and had a small terrace with a view of Ragusa Ibla. Each morning. A good breakfast was delivered to my room. It included coffee, fruit juice, some pastries, yoghurt and fresh fruit. The bathroom was bright and clean.
Fantastic spacious room with a large private balcony/terrace at front. Location is right in the centre of Ragusa Ibla and we really appreciated organising taxi transfers to/from the station. We took some recommendations for dining/food which were some of the best in our Sicily trip, would definitely stay again
Comfortable, clean room and bathroom. Check-in and checkout were smooth.
We were glad that the hotel was in the Ragusa Superiore part of town, because we travelled there by train and the walk to/from the station was much shorter and easier than it would have been if we'd been staying in Ragusa Ibla.
Excellent hotel, well-located, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. Great size rooms and great bathrooms. Excellent breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. We spent 2 days/nights at the hotel and these were the best 2 nights of our 8 days in Sicily! Would thoroughly recommend.
This is the best place I've stayed in Sicily. The hosts picked me up at the bus and we're extremely friendly and helpful. The house is located right in the centre of the Ibla and is beautiful, fresh and comfortable. I could use the kitchen to cook and sit on the terrace in the sun.
The rooms are very nice decorated and very new. Clean and very quiet. The location is perfect, close to ragusa ibla, behind the dome. The host is very nice, helpful, the best so far in our trip around sicily. We appreciated the beds which were very comfortable.
A little charming Bed and Breakfast I’m the heart of Ragusa Ibla.. All tourist attractions and bars / restaurants are walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff trying to accomodate all our requests .It’s worth for the price .
The property was located in beautiful Ragusa Ibla. Rooms were very comfortable. Mattresses were absolutely wonderful. Emilio was genuinely kind and gracious host. Breakfast was delicious. We loved our stay!
I cannot explain in words how helpful the host Carmela was when I arrived late at night. It was worth coming to Sicily just to get to know Carmela and beautiful Ragusa. I highly recommend everyone to stay by her.
Great location, nicely restored building, outstanding Sicilian breakfast- this place is a gem. What really sets it apart is the warm and helpful staff- it was delightful to stay here visiting Ragusa Ibla.
Fantastic property; the best location in Ragusa Ibla, overlooking the steps of the Duomo and Piazza Duomo. Large, beautiful room with original tile floor, kitchenette. Staff was very helpful.
