Pretty reception area and bar downstairs. Pools were nice but the big one was crowded. Hotel was clean and the grounds were very pretty. Location was good - 12 minute walk to the water and shops. We are animal people so we didn't mind but people should know there were a lot of cats at this hotel.

This was my second visit to Ischia. I have stayed at Hotel Europa both times as they are so welcoming and helpful at all times. Also they have a great breakfast and evening meal.
Ischia has so much character and is a lovely relaxed place. It has the most wonderful restaurants I would recommend taking a boat tour around the island if possible. A tour of the Castello Aragonese is also a must. The little town of Sant’Angelo is really worth a visit. It is so beautiful.

I liked the island of Ischia.
I liked the island of Ischia. Cab drivers are aggressive in their pricing -need to negotiate the fee ahead of time. You can take the public bus easily if you are not taking your luggage. If taking luggage, other than a backpack or very small suitcase, you need to take a cab.

Overal beautiful island, great views, great beaches, comparable scenery to Amalfi coast, without the crowd. Good restaurants in the main city. All sights are easily accessible from the city of Ischia with buses. A true hidden gem. + full days is perfectly enough to discover everything.

The island is an hour trip via boat from Naples and well worth the time to get there. We traveled to Ischia to get away and it really gave us a chance to relax. We specifically traveled there to visit the Giardini la Mortella, known as one of the most beautiful private gardens in Italy. It was magnificent. On another day we visited the Castello Aragonese which has a rich history over the past 2500 years. Ischia has charm and friendly people and we plan on returning to this little paradise.

Learn the bus system, its easy and cheap to get around the island. Take a boat tour around the island and definitely visit the castle. Buy your souvenirs in the grocery store not the expensive gift shops.

Brilliant.
Brilliant. Definitely coming back I don't drive and was there solo and had a ball. Maybe not quite as walker friendly as i expected - easy to get buses around, but a few times i found google maps lied a bit about walkable paths...
It was early May and everything was pretty empty. I liked that, but I suppose some of the larger restaurants and resorts i was recommended had a bit of a ghost town vibe.
Could have spent every day at Posiedon spa and been very happy. Make sure you visit.
We were 3 families that stayed at the hotel early april 2023 and we all agree that this was one of the best hotel we have ever visited in Italy. The hotel manager is really helpful and he and all his staff goes the extra mile for his guests. Great beautyful large rooms, all with sea view, great enviroment with old small roads that were really fun to drive. The hotel even has a free shuttle that drive the guests for free to Forio and Sant Angelo. We will surely book this hotel next time we visit Ischia.
This jewel hotel is perfectly nestled in the fishermen village with a breathtaking view on the Aragonese castle. The pool is pleasantly surrounded with flowers and green and perfectly maintained boosting also a fish restaurant where we had a perfect insight of the menu that the rooftop restaurant offers along with one of the best view on the island. The staff is attentive and kind and a special mention goes to Sara who acted like a personal assistant and had become
a family friend in the span of a week
absolutely loved this hotel! my first nights in Ischia, I stayed at the Miramare. But I wanted to explore the island and get out of the resort vibe. I chose Hotel Angelino because of the beautiful beach location and it was so worth it. The balconies set one on the water with the most gorgeous views. It is a quaint hotel with a family vibe. The family was so incredibly nice, especially because I do not speak Italian. My stay was so special and memorable. Thank you!
Good Location. Beautiful Scenery from the yard outside the room. Room is very clean with good facilities. The most important is: Mauro is a really nice and friendly host. He helps plan our journey in the beautiful island, give my girlfriend the medicine she needs when her stomach doesn't feel good, drive us to the port and even give us a gift when we left. He is kind host and friend. If we come back to Ischia later, we will definitely choose this hotel again.
Had the best stay with these great people in Ischia. The room is spacious and comfortable with en-suite and kitchen. A small pool which is great to cool off in after a long day. Francesco brought us some lemoncello while we were in the pool, it was much appreciated. He also recommended the best beaches and what to do while we were on the Island. We loved it here. Highly recommend staying!
Thank you Francesco & Nancy! 👍🏻👍🏻
We visited Ischia for a day trip and it was so beautiful we didn't want to leave. We booked the hotel last minute because we could see is from the beach! The staff was so lovely, welcoming and helpful. You have to be buzzed in to the hotel at all times so it is incredibly safe. They truly have thought of everything to give you the best stay possible. Take all of their restaurant recommendations, thermal baths, etc.
Got an upgrade because we were early and our room wasn't ready yet. Staff are just amazing, super professional. Lovely atmosphere throughout the hotel, great breakfast, 4 star really. The pool is probably the best one I've ever seen a 3 star hotel, very good place to chill. Location close to Ischia Ponte, the best place on the island for food, drinks and wandering the streets and sea side boulevard. Recommended.
Hotel D'Orta is a spectacular place to stay while in Ischia. I had an unbelievable stay. The views are out of this world, the hotel is spotless, and the hospitality is second to none. Also, the food here is the best I had while on the island. Do not skip dinner on the terrace! Michele, your host, will take care of you like family. No need to stay anywhere else, this is it!
We had an amazing stay at Queen Suites while on our honeymoon! Marilisa was extremely helpful and communicative and kept the room and common areas sparkling clean. The location also could not be better, right in the heart of town and very walkable to the ferry, taxi, bus and beach. The pool was also such a luxury in the summer heat. We would definitely go back!
Very nice hotel located just a few metres from a sandy beach (there is also a bus stop nearby in case you would like to go to Forio or Ischia Porto). The hotel has a spacious terrace with a beautiful sea view. There are even ropes for drying swimsuits or towels, which we found very useful after returning from the beach. We were very pleased with our stay here.
Very friendly family run hotel. The staff was always available to provide suggestions on what to do and see on the island. Immaculately clean. Good location near Aragonese Castle. Walking distance to Ischia Ponte and Ischia Port with bars, restaurants and shops. Free parking available outside the hotel. Great view from the rooftop terrace.
Great place to stay, clean, comfortable, has everything for a comfortable stay, everything corresponds to the description. Thank you very much charming and friendly Emilia! Our holiday on the wonderful island of Ischia was great. I fell in love with Italy, its beautiful people and unreal food! I want to come back, I already miss it!
The hotel spa was amazing, I didn’t think it would be that good and it isn’t pictured in full in the gallery but it was the best spa I have ever been to! The bar at sunset is a must, the waiter always brought us nibbles with our drinks and the view is incredible. Just a short 5 min walk into town. Lovely beach 25 min walk away.
Beautiful property in a quiet location, very warm welcome at arrival and very attentive friendly reception/manager. It's worth upgrading to sea view as view from our room was spectacular! Beautiful little beach nearby with a nice cafe for lunch. Felt like the best hotel in Sant Angelo, it had a very boutique-like vibe.
It was our second year in a row at Villa Maria. This place is the best in Ischia, don’t hesitate to book your whole stay here. The hotel is run by a lovely family, they cook amazing food, serve you plenty of breakfast and good dinner on request. Their rooms are spacious, authentic and charming. The view is exceptional.
The hotel is right on the beach. It makes it very convenient. The spa is amazing and worth the €10 for the two hours. The lobby has a bar that was always open and a rooftop lounge area. Breakfast was amazing and exceeded my expectations. There are many restaurants right on the beach with delicious food.
Amazing B & B with the best host Catrin who made our stay perfect. She helpt and advised us on our activities and made amazing breakfast! Nice room with spacious bathroom. You can have breakfast with the beautiful view of the garden. I really recommend to stay here if you are going to Ischia.
The island of ischia is a small piece of paradise off the bay of Naples and Paradise Relais Villa Jantò exudes the Islands spirit and charm. The view from the hotel’s perch on the mountain side is its best feature and the staff help you feel like a local.
Location is basically all this hotel has for itself!
Right on the beach (even if you might not be able to rent a space there every day in high season, but that's not the hotel's fault!).
Proximity to a couple of nice restaurant/bar on the beach too.
