We had a delightful one-night stay at Arcade Beach Hotel during our trip to Sri Lanka, and it was an unforgettable experience. Though a small place, the hotel offers an incredibly cozy and peaceful atmosphere. The best part? The beach is just a short walk away, giving the feeling of having a private seaside retreat all to yourself. A special appreciation goes to Ms. Shashi, our host, who made our stay truly comfortable. From the moment of booking, she maintained great communication, ensuring everything was ready for our arrival. Upon check-in, she personally guided us to the rooms, took note of our breakfast preferences, and made thoughtful arrangements so we could enjoy the morning meal while overlooking the sea. Her kindness and attention to detail created a warm and welcoming experience. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic stay by the beach with personalized hospitality, Arcade Beach Hotel is a wonderful choice. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful experience at Sea View Villa. The room was clean, spacious, and offered breathtaking views of the ocean. Waking up to the sound of the waves was pure bliss. We stayed at Villa Sidu for three weeks and we cannot say enough good things about the owners, location and wonderful meals. Himali and Jana are exceptional hosts who were warm and attentive. Himali would provide a wake up pot of tea at 7:00 a.m. each morning followed by a delicious breakfast of fruit plates, ‘egg roti’ and fried eggs. More tea would arrive at 3:00 p.m. and a dinner of our choice at six: curried prawns and rice or red snapper and French fries or Sri Lankan biryani. Jana was always standing by to take us into nearby Bentota for supplies or banking in his trusty tuk tuk. The location is excellent with the beach just outside the back door. Induruwa is a lot less populated and quieter than the upscale beach at Bentota. The accommodation is quite simple but comfortable. With the rates as reasonable as they are you will need to supply your own shampoo and soap. Towels (two sets) and sheets are changed regularly and the room cleaned two or three times a week. The two rooms at the back of the house, facing the beach, are a little more expensive but well worth the extra cost for their spaciousness, AC and running hot water. As inveterate travellers, we recommend Villa Sidu most highly.

    I liked the location which, for birding was excellent. It was also a little way from the main tourist centres but only a 15 minute walk to the beach. The accommodation itself was excellent with a lovely pool, nice little kitchen and a friendly cat! The caretaker host, Krishna, was impeccable, friendly and efficient. The bed was comfy and the ac sufficient.

    The rooms are in a separate building with a private garden and porch, making it a super quiet place. Although the train tracks are somewhat close by, there is absolutely no noise from them. A few minutes of walking, and you’re on a beautiful and also really quiet beach. Super friendly hosts, clean facilities, and last but not least: a fabulous breakfast!

    Perfect spot on the beach. Clean rooms and super tidy outside. Even for Europa standard. Dont be fooled by the bad looking backside. Not going to live there. This place is amazing. All the staff is super friends! Rooms are for the price super and while we stay there uppgrades was undergoing. The beach outside is 10 meters away and is clean.

    The property is beach front and has a very exclusive feel! There is a sun lounger on the beach for each apartment. The host was lovely and arranged laundry for us. The breakfast was really nice but we couldn’t eat it all!
