There is not a single thing at the moment that can be improved. They offer lunch until afternoon, if someone plans not to dine out, and wants to eat something at the hotel, there is a chance to order some pizza.
If you have experience in a five star hotels, you have some expectations, and you are hard to be surprised. In this hotel you will be surprised, everything is just wonderful. Location, rooms, staff, pool, breakfast...

Location, was a bit out of the way
Daniel Mora!!! He made our trip an absolute pleasure, went out of his way to help us arrange excursions, even on his day off he made phone calls for us.

- The room features are a little bit old: * Not enough light in the bathroom. * The bathroom seems to old, and not well equipt (e.g. no place to put your soup / shampoo while showering) * There is some kind of an egg smell in the bathroom, we guess that this is since the water is not filtered / purified. * The Jacuzzi is pretty old and emitted dirt which was not pleasant. * The room paint was old and there was marks around the room. * We bumped into 1 spider and 1 cockroach during a 4 night stay.
We liked: - Breakfast is very good - The hotel location is very nice (although its not located near the quinta) - Staff was very kind and helpful. - Hotel design is nice warn and cosy.

Not having comfortable chairs on the balconies.
Being away from the zoo that's playa del carmen now.

Lack of casserolles and kitchen amienties. "Animal" in The air condition that waked us up every night/early morning. No easy access to the beach. We are used to walk, but needeed about 25 to 30 minutes to walk to The beach.
Clean rooms. Helpfull staff at The reception.

Beds were a little too hard for us, and the sofa bed was horrible, but the staff help us solve the problem by bringing extra padding and we placed the mattress on the floor.
We wanted to stay at a quiet hotel, not to big, only with breakfast since we were going to be outside the hotel all day long. We really got it. We found a suite style bedroom, more like a 1 bedroom apartment, for 3 adults with breakfast included for $89 a night! And it wasn't just any breakfast, it had everything. Very quiet place and very Mexican style.

Somewhat run down in places like steel railings rusted badly in some areas. Long walk to beach, No running water for several hours in the morning on two occasions
Great Breakfast and large apartment

The kitchen seems a little under stocked for use, although we didn't end up using the kitchen during our stay. Our youngest was disappointed that the spa hot tub was out of service while we were there. However, that was a small wrinkle in our overall enjoyable and comfortable stay.
Front desk, room and restaurant staff were very friendly, organized and helpful. Reception/concierge staff helped us to arrange excursions to Chichen Itza, and nearby eco-parks. Breakfast buffet every morning was fresh, with a wide variety of cold and hot foods which provided a great start to each day's adventure. Rooms were cleaned every day. The location is within Playacar inside a gated, secure community. The Hacienda architecture is a sight to behold and for us, added to the overall positive experience we had during our first vacation in Mexico.

pool was very cold first few days of our stay. No ice available for drinks had to remember to get some in the morning breakfast area. water is not drinkable from taps but water is provided. leather couches could use a cleaning. A coffee maker and tea kettle would be nice but since the water in the taps is not drinkable perhaps it is best to not have them.
Mexican decor and comfort of suite for a family of 6 was perfect. Very quiet and peaceful. Great breakfast buffet from 7 to 11 which changed hot items or made eggs to order. Our grandson thought the pancakes were the best he had ever eaten! nice grounds with iguanas and turtles and birds.

Far away from the beach or downtown( 1/2 hour-40 min walking), taxi available for 90 pesos. During our 6 days staying the key acces to the rooms not working for the whole hotel, so they would have to open with the master Key from the recepțion wich was a Little anoying ti call somebody every time you want to enter in the room.I must Say that the personel was very prompt, and running here and there to open everybody's room.
The rooms are big, clean,Juve confortable bed, and with very nice arhitecture, the hotel itself very nice, quiet location, next to the lake and golf area, very nice neighbourhood, only private villas, security at the street entrance!

This place was ok. Faraway from the beach and the city. Kitchen had only few plates etc. Our bathroom ceiling was leaking but they fixed.
Welcome drinks. Breakfast was great.
February 15, 2015
Leather furniture in bad condition, Gas stove oven never worked during our stay, no microwave oven, no barbeque, one pot so we had to go buy another in order to cook for 4, fridge broke down, water leaked from celling in one bathroom, no heat in the pool or hot tub, pool very small when working. On large knife only. 6 burner gas stove but only enough gas pressure for 2 burners at a time.
Very secure, clean ,quiet, friendly staff, good breakfast, good service.

The 20-30 minutes walk to the beach might be at times tiring. But this you can solve by taking a taxi.
The hotel is located around 20-30 minutes walk from the beach, which for Playa is quite far, but it really is worth it. It's quiet, from our balcony we had a view on the neighbouring golf field. If you want to relax and if you don't necessarily want to listen to other people's music, this is the place for you. I would recommend though taking a room/apartment with a balcony. And the breakfasts are superb.

Its 30 min from beach. Breakfast not worth 5 stars. The pool, jacuzzi and spa are pitiful.Hotel only interesting for golf players.
The room was nice. Staff friendly and helpful.
January 7, 2015
It is very nice hotel. Even if it was full when we were there you don't feel it: you don't see/ hear other people much.
January 4, 2015
The unit was dirty. Old tv's in the bedrooms, the tv in the living room was missing. Remote controls didn't work on the tv in either bedroom. There was mold on the ceiling and in the showers. The whole unit had a musty odor. The spa had potential but was under staffed and run down. This was advertised as a 5 star resort. I would give it 2 stars at best,
We were in a two bedroom unit. It was spacious, but they let this property go. Needed maintenance has not been performed.
January 3, 2015
Lots. No functioning air conditioning, room was not the one we booked and we got put into a basement pool room from the 1970s. It is not a 5 star hotel...maybe a 3 at best. No restaurant for the evening. Pool was tired and needed repair. Staff were trying to be helpful, but failed to deal with any issue. Basically poor experience.
December 28, 2014
Room smelt of damp, which made sense as the only window in the room opened onto the corridor rather than the nice grounds. Bed was horrible and the staff were distinctly rude. Place is too far out of town, stay somewhere on the beach with full inclusions, well worth it when compared to the lousy spot and lack of anything really redeeming about this place. Will never stay there again
It was a nice spot next to the golf course
November 16, 2014
The water leackage No warm water The pillows and matrasses The walls are very thing you can hear everything of your neighbors.
October 12, 2014
The resort is beautiful. I forgot my Agenda Book that contained $480.00 dollars and the chamber maid turned in the book. I was contacted by the resort to inform me that I had left my book. Knowing the low wages that that these people are paid. I am always amazed at their honesty and Humility. Please help keep this place in business. I will return

They don't serve dinner. For us no problem, but means you're up for a walk or taxiride for that.
Very nice rooms and also staying outside is great. Breakfast and lunch/snack at the pool, surrounded by the green and pool of the golf court next to the hotel. Very friendly staff, desk staff always open for extra help.
