Love the location and the accommodations. The staff is also super friendly. This is way better than large hotel options for the same price. We like the suites with a kitchen and living room.

We stayed here for one night in April, on the way to Belize to catch the morning trip by water taxi. For that purpose, the hotel is good enough and provided most of what we needed.
The room was relatively small, but comfortable and good enough for one night of good sleep after spending most of the day on the road.
You can either walk from here to the boat, count with approx. 5-10 minutes. You can also call an Uber, expect a fare of less than 5 USD.

I remember like propably 10 years ago, people use to go to chetumal especially to have a lunch at calderitas but dont see calderitas the way it use to be. the government needs to promote more that area. Also the city center, there are some places that are vandalized by graffiti which gives it an odd. I cannot complain about the night life at the malecon, its really lively with many arts, concerts and food vendor. That gives it a plus. I like that now you have uber. It does help alot for me

The local Maya Museum has a very interesting cultural approach for those who have no prior knowledge about this people, but has a painstakingly small collection, I don t think there are more than 15 original items on display, though some of them quite wonderful. The archaeological sites nearby are very hard to access other than by rented car, which are pretty sparse, too. Some are even closed to the public, without bothering to state that online.

Chetumal is a great tourist destination.
Chetumal is a great tourist destination. The food and entertainments are great. I enjoy the places that have the live singers in there. The only recommendation I would have is they need to have at least one representative in their business that can assist with the tourist that speak little or no Spanish. They are very few places that makes the effort to accommodate the language difference. Other than that they are very welcoming to Belizeans at least when I am there I feel welcomed.

The room was clean, the air condition frost 😊, bathroom functions great which is always a deal breaker when the water or toilet delays. So full points there. Honestly the only thing that would have made the experience better was the absence of a mini refridge which would have been good to have and also if the tv was smart. People want to be able to stream stuff. For a luxury hotel it needs to upgrade with this generation.

Chetumal is a regional destination, not an international destination. Do not plan an overseas vacation to Chetumal. If you live in Belize or southern Yucatan, you already know that Chetumal is a decent place for shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. That is because Chetual is the largest city in the region.
There was just nothing that was not perfect: the Rooftop pool was amazing, the room was awesome, Also the shower which had great water pressure, the breakfast was also nice- Best of all was the service, the staff was very helpful, it allowed us to use the pool even after we checked out, we were able to store our luggage in luggage room, and we were also allowed to use the restrooms to get changed.
Wonderful view. It looks like all the rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor had a view of the bay. Room was clean. Nice to have a restaurant in the hotel. Parking was safe. Wifi worked fine. A/C was cold. Also a quick 5 min walk to Cafe 290 for wonderful coffee and breakfast. Sam's Club is right around the corner. Nice to walk the promenade and easy to drive to. Will stay again.
Friendly reception and staff, allowing storage of backpacks if arriving early. A proper backpacker place with good vibe, interesting people and good advice available for forward transport. Good internet and quiet at night. Incredibly cheap beer with a nice rooftop to enjoy it on. Good location. Definitely return on way back.
Best Hotel in México! The room was clean, spacious and the bed comfortable. Due to an injury, I needed help and the staff was amazing! You can contact the reception or the restaurant (including room service) any time via Whatsapp. They helped me get anything I asked for. I can highly recommend staying at Arges.
Hotel Lagoon is quite nice but basic. A lovely cozy mattress with a large bed. The shower was terrific with nice hot water. Breakfast was basic but filling. We had scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, coffee/tea and a nice little fruit salad.
The hotel offers an excellent quality-price ratio. Water to drink is always available, and its convenient location within walking distance of main restaurants and the malecon makes it a great choice. We look forward to returning. 🌟🏨🌴
Staff try to help. My room had been given to another couple by mistake so i was moved to thr 2nd floor but that was quieter so maybe it for the best. Location is good to be able to take the ferry to ambergris caye
The pool looked nice in the middle of the hotel & was clean, hotel's parking was convenient & safe, the breakfast was conveniently located on the 2nd floor and the staff was friendly.
The location was great because of it's proximity to the mall area and main attractions in Chetumal, especially the airport. That was about all that was good with this hotel.
I was late getting into Chetumal and the staff was still very accommodating even helping me to park at 1am in the morning and there is always warmth and familial feeling
