The staff was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was nice, and we were offered scrambled eggs. I have to say their bed sheets were the cleanest among the family hotels I have stayed in.

Machu pichu is quite spectacular and set in an equally spectacular natural setting.
However the queues for the train, the bus going up, the entry, the toilets, the cafe, and the 800 metre queue for the bus back, together with the precipitous stairs and the congested trails through the site, greatly diminished the enjoyment of the experience . Waiting times amounted to several hours, often in the sun. And this was with pre-purchased tickets.
Weigh up a visit carefully. We enjoyed our stay at Ollantaytambo much more - a nice little rural town with fabulous archeology and Peruvian culture

It was a childhood dream for me. I had a foggy day when was my ticket. It was a mystery. Maybe it'll be better if it was sunny. The prise was very high, but when you have a dream, you should do it.

Machu Picchu was completely abandoned for nearly 400 years.
Machu Picchu was completely abandoned for nearly 400 years. There are no know written records of who built it, what it was used for or the part it played in Inca history. The guides are totally speculative. They have good stories..... but completely from their imagination. Do your homework and prepare for the visit.
Nice quiet hotel. The breakfast was decent and simple, but we appreciated that they prepared it for us even at 5:30 in the morning and gave us cereal bars for the trip to Machu Picchu (we went by foot). Great attention. The rooms were bright, clean, nice bathroom, running hot water and hair dryer. There was also heating in the room, which we appreciated, because it was cold and humid outside and it was the only hotel in Peru that had direct heating.
Bruno is very friendly and assisting. He always there to help his guests. The room is pretty decent and I had a good sleep. There is free tea and coffee at the lobby. The location is superb, very close to the hot spring and main plaza and church. The hotel welcomed me with a very nice graphic of Machu Picchu and a key chain. The room is clean and the bed is the best bed I've ever had. Thanks so much Bruno!
Good location near bus station for Machu Picchu bus & near train. BEST complimentary breakfast on our trip! Buffet with eggs, potatoes, breads, cheese, avocado, yogurts, fresh juices, and all sorts of fresh fruit. Plus of course coffee & tea. Breakfast starts at 5 am for early trips to Machu Picchu. Very helpful staff. Special shout out to Wilson. Hotel stored our luggage while we were in MP
As instructed before our arrival we were welcomed at the train station and then escorted to the hotel while being told everything important for Machu Picchu trip (on the way we stopped at the bus ticket office and purchased tickets for the next day). Room was clean, breakfast tasty and everything else was good. We left our luggage while visiting MP. Absolutely recommend, value for money.
The location was excellent. Aguas Calientes is a pretty compact town and I could reach everywhere easily on foot from the hotel. Staff was friendly. The hot breakfast consisted of two eggs cooked your way l along with bread, juice and tea/coffee. We had plenty of time to eat breakfast before boarding our 7am bus to Machu Picchu. Overall a great stay.
The hotel sent someone to meet me at the station what was great as I would never find without it, but a super plus was that I could leave my bag while visiting Machu Picchu, they were super kind to take it back to the station before my train
Breakfast was good and the room very comfortable
It seems to be a fairly new hotel, so everything still looks good. The rooms were clean and the showers were nice and hot. The staff was friendly and helped us with getting the correct rooms and let us leave our belongings there after checkout when we travelled to Machu Picchu.
The hotel is located next to a river with waterfall, they have very good hot water for shower and prepared breakfast from 5am onwards. One of the staff welcomed us at the train station and took us to the hotel. They kept the bags for us while we went to Machu Picchu.
Inti Punku Hotel was very friendly. The location is just next to the station, breakfast was exceptional and started at 5AM so we could eat before early tour to Machu Picchu citadel. Hotel also organized the tour with a really nice guide - just for two of us!
The staff was great. Aguas Calientes is a small town so you’d either stay at a 5 star hotel or not. If you pick the non 5 star hotels, which we did, most of them are close to the city center and the train station. We loved this small town.
Best shower ever after our trek. Lovely staff, complimentary food and drinks, they brought our luggage down and stored our stuff until afer Machu Picchu. Honestly such a relief after 4 days of trekking to be welcomed into this hotel.
I did not stay in the property, I booked and when I got in the hotel, they said it was full and put me in a much lower location charging the same. A lot of irresponsibility!!!!! This hotel should be punished from booking.
The staff was very friendly, pleasant and helpful. The location of the hotel was very convenient, close to the trains station, restaurants and bus to Machu Picchu. There was a generous variety for breakfast.
Proximity to the town. We liked the bedding and the showers. The hotel staff was the best part. They helped us so quickly with anything we needed. Breakfast with a chef making the omelets was amazing!
The room is very spacious and the beds comfortable. The staff were nice and helpful.
The bath in the room was great.
There is an option to leave the bags in the hotel when going to the Machupicchu.
Huge room with huge bed located right next to the river. The water pressure and temperature were good. The hotel offers free shower room after Machu Picchu hike.
