Nice balance between peaceful/quiet and lively with easy access to the nearby places (Vilamoura, Albuifera, Amacqo de Pera, Portimao, Lagos, Faro etc). It is an easy town to get around on foot and it has good access outside the town by car. It was "home base" for us with day trips to other towns along the Algarve coast.

It felt like a chilled relaxed area, a lovely promenade to walk along, plenty of restaurants to choose from. This was my first solo trip and I felt very safe, I would definitely come back here and do some of the activities on offer. I took the bus to and from Faro airport which was all very straight forward thanks to google maps!

There is huge selection of restaurants and bars to choose. Generally the quality is very good and cleanliness is good.
Fish restaurants near the port are really good.
If you like cooking there is the fish and veg markets, you can buy fresh fish daily as it is a working fishing port, also there is a large open air produce market about 500m from the port every Wednesday with many stalls.
The old town has more character and little bars and cafes where you can get a better feel of portugues culture. Venture into the side streets.

Lovely coffee and cake shops. Shopping ok but out of season so some shops closed. Beach wonderful Good transport by bus and free circular bus to gypsy market and Vilamoura Went to Family Bistro many times. Rita’s shop is great for good Portuguese shoes
We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was lovely in a quiet residential location about half hour walk from Quarteira. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and great shower. We loved relaxing outside on the balcony. The hotel was opposite the Lidl and The Tiramusu restaurant nearby was really good. We walked into town but there was a free bus to save walking back. Also good continental breakfast.
Don’t let the number of reviews put you off! This property is literally perfect. 5 min walk to the beach, and about 15/20 mins stroll to Vilamoura. There’s amazing restaurants right by the apartment like Social wine bar. Helena was a brilliant host and the apartment was spotless. The rooftop balcony is literally the perfect spot for pre drinks with sea view, and sunset watching. Thank you Helena ❤️
I was travelling with friends and stayed here as a stopover for 1 night (20min from the airport) before we continued our journey, it was perfect location for us so we stayed another night on our way back. Very friendly, helpfull staff, very clean rooms and hotel, good continental breakfast, with free parking, close to the sea front and restaurants.
For a 3 star i would Highly recommend it ☆☆☆☆☆
Good location. Plenty of cookware/plates/utensils in the kitchen. AC/Heating. Good natural light when it's sunny. Dishwasher and washer in the unit. Walking distance to Quarteira promenade and the marina. Close to supermarkets, restaurants and fish market. Satellite TV and Wi-Fi. Built-in cabinets for extra storage. Extra linens and towels in the unit.
Very good location, right between Quarteira and Vilamoura so easy access to most bars, restaurants. Apartment was easy accessed from the street, elevator to 5th floor. Building itself was clean and well kept. Air conditioning in all rooms, kitchen well equipped, nice cold fridge. Also has an almost new washing machine. Loads of hot water.
A well managed hostel centrally located in Quarteira near both the Quarteira and Vilamoura beaches (you should, however, also check out the Rocha Baixinha beach on the other side of Vilamoura.
You get a card for door and locker key, which is really practical. The locker under the fairly comfy bed is spacious.
Clean, modern and spacious. Perfect for my family of 5. One of the best rentals we’ve stayed in. Check-in was smooth and quick. Robert, who welcomed us, was fantastic. 2mins from the beach, restaurants, and shops. Would stay here again. The only downside was that our time in The Algarve was too short.
Really nice hotel, Miguel the host was super friendly and helpful and answered all our questions and gave recommendations. The cleaning ladies were very nice also. The room was super clean and spacious and the kitchen had everything you needed except a dishcloth!
The location of the apartment suited us 100% to what we needed. It is only 5mins walk to the beach, and only 30mins walk to Vilamoura. Quarteira is a nice location full of locals, which created a better environment for us.
Very spacious garden with outdoor seating. A little out from the centre but easy walking routes to get to both quarteira and vilamoura. Car was not necessary to get to beach or either centre. Large pool area.
Quaint Bed and Breakfast walking distance to the town of Quarteira. It was exactly what we needed for the night. The owners were lovely and accommodating. The house is beautiful with a pool in the back.
The kitchen is huge and the breakfast is a great value for your money. The staff is extremely friendly and the beds are comfortable. It’s right next to the beach and close to the bus stop.
Breakfast good, public space good. very large room, nice pool and on the beach. great balcony and peaceful area. staff were very helpful and warm. its a nice hotel to visit.
Very clean hotel. Helpful staff.. 5 to 7 min walk to 1st beach and only 8 to 10 euro taxi ride to Vilamoura. Very convenient location and very good value for money.
The hotel is right on the beach which was perfect (€12 for two loungers and a parasol) . Bar area was lovely in the evening and €3.50 for a lovely glass of wine .
