Everything!! Perfect hotel!! We did our last night at Madeira at the hotel and I am sorry we didn't do the whole week there.
You sleep inside a vineyard with a view to the Ocean, they grow most of the food in the property, they have an exceptional breakfast and I recommend making a reservation for their dinner as well to the tables outside. When you come to Madeira this is the plase to stay!!

The best thing about the place is the hosts, they are super accommodating and very flexible. She provided ice cubes and had cold water at the ready for us, along with other goodies. Very nice interiors with a luxurious spacious bath. This was by far out favorite place to stay in on the island (out of the four total). When I come back in the future, this will be my first choice to look at booking!! Loved it!!!!

The location of Calheta is amazing for western trips and it is a quiet area without noise. Everything is locally available – plenty of bars, cafes, and bakeries, and nothing is missing. As a peaceful base for trips, it is truly optimal

We loved Calheta Beach for its soft sand and calm waters, thanks to the sheltered cove. While not a natural beach, it offers a relaxing atmosphere. The area around the harbor boasts several excellent restaurants, and the beach itself has a convenient beach club for drinks and snacks. Plus, the affordable beach chairs for just 2 euros were a nice bonus.

Calheta is a nice village and had a big supermarket as well as smaller shops and a white sand beach. If you enjoy hiking, you will have to travel a bit because most of the hikes are not located in this part of the island. I would personally stay somewhere a bit more centered next time. Although this town also had a certain charm because part of the village is still rather old, it also has a main road next to the beach with some restaurants, a bigger supermarket, pharmacy, ... I enjoy staying in a neighborhood which is a little more vibrant and went on a lot of hikes, so that's why I would choose a different town to stay the next time I visit Madeira.

A small town with amazing views over the Atlantic and a public sandy beach. There is a museum of contemporary art and a sugar refinery, but we did not visit them. A very short walk on the waterfront. Worth visiting the Jardim do Mar, a small village with pedestrian narrow streets. We also enjoyed the dolphin watching trip. It takes about 40 minutes by car from Calheta to Funchal.

Probably the nicest place of Madeira, especially for those who love sunbathing, sandy beaches and relaxation. Also if You would like to travel to North of Madeira, it is much closer to do it from Calheta region comparing to Funchal.

Lovely small town close to the see, all accomodation are close but take care ... if you don't like to climb a slope, it will be hard because all the streets are uphill !!!
The sun is always present but not too hot at this moment so it was wonderfull.
We'll come back as soon as possible !
Stunning Location on the mountain hill. the view is absolutely amazing! very easy to reach by a car. 5 min’ drive from everything you ever need (restaurants, supermarket, beach, marine etc..) and the owners (Gabriel & Jorge) are more the amazing.
They built everything by themselves and every single detail was on spot!
even if you go for a vacation or need to work from your laptop during your vacation (internet is superrrr good! as we are Digital Nomads). everything you need in one place!
100/100!!
Well equipped, cosy house with large outdoor terrace and private parking. House offers pretty much anything you could need. Francisco is a great host and is very responsive to questions. We didn't have any issues during our stay. Location is great, close to the Calheta beach/harbor with several restaurants and a good size / modern supermarket in walking distance. This is great for when you get back from a Levada hike or from sight seeing on the island.
This was such a great place to stay - the house is nicely furnished, very clean, spacious & cozy, with a terace with a sea view, the kitchen is well equipped & the hosts were super nice - we found a bottle of Madeira, a honey cake, some eggs, potatoes, lemon & onion - great to make a quick dinner without having to run to a supermarket, that was so nice :) It's a short drive to Calheta beach & other places of interest. We highly recommend :0
We are here for the second time, so we love everything about this place. They have 2 new pods and the road to the place is also recently built with new asphalt 👍🏼
Amazing view, good location near Calheta Beach with a supermarket and a lot of restaurants, fresh bread every morning, parking, garden, comfortable kitchen with nespresso coffee machine, washing machine, porch with hammock
The property is designed in a very modern way with attention to details and a good taste. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is friendly. The hotel’s spa is very well equipped and it was not too crowded when we were there. Hotel’s restaurants offer a variety of tasty local and international dishes. In a nutshell, it is a perfect place for relaxing holidays in Madeira.
Great villa, with a very nice view and a lot of extras. Game room with a pool table, a fitness room and a swimming pool.
Rooms are clean.
But what got me astonished is the internal decoration with many mosaics all around the place, on the floor, in bathrooms,….done with exceptional quality.
A nice artificial beach in Calheta, just 7 min driving away.
This is a very calm and restful hotel. The rooms are large and very comfortable. We had a apartial ocean view room which was just lovely. For an extra 20 euro p.p. per day we accessed the spa which was heavenly after our hiking! The breakfast was fantastic and the rooftop bar was a great place to end the day. Would absolutely stay again!
Gustavo, the host was excellent! Gave us lots of information on where to eat and what to do in the area, he also welcomed us with a gift and showed around the property. The stay at that place was comfortable, with fantastic view from the bedroom terrace and the rooftop! Highly recommend staying at Pana House while visiting Calheta ❤️
The best about this hotel is the staff!
The rooms are very nice and spacious, they have awesome ocean view and they clean everyday, provide beach towels as well.
The dinner was really good, the homemade flavour by Laura the Chef is incomparable and the breakfast is not to be underestimated
The indoor pool and Sauna are very nice!
This felt like a resort. Everything you need is on property. There is a pool to relax, plenty of amazing food, and the staff was beyond helpful and kind. The property itself is gorgeous, overlooking the coast. Our rooms were clean and nicely decorated. We will come back to Madeira to stay at this location.
Amazing hotel with super friendly stuff and breathtaking view over the bay of Calheta! Rooms were perfectly cleaned, nice furniture, comfy bed. Pool area was great. Also the food at the Restaurant was delicious!
We enjoyed our time at Socalco and would definitely come back!!
The place is absolutely gorgeous and the views are stunning. We had a wonderful 3 night stay which was by far the highlight of our 2 week vacation in Madeira. I would recommend this place to everyone who's looking for a quiet stay away from the towns and cities.
Very good location, 3 min to the main beach. There is also a Calheta Diving Center, which was the main thing for me. The closest supermarket is 6 min from the property. You have a tour center, pharmacy and small cafe place in the same building as supermarket.
The apartment was very nice and well equipped. Everything was really clean. The host is the most kind and hospitable person ever. We really enjoyed the place and, if ever again on Madeira, we will definitely stay in Amoreira House.
Everything is perfect. Location, staff, food, pools, beach, live music (samba) evenings, surroundings, nature..second year in a row now in Calheta. Definitely coming back again
The apartment is up the hill in Calheta. Beach and restaurants are quite a bit away, we made all ways by car.
Great starting spot for hikers and outdoor tourists.
The bedroom had a lot of space and a bathroom included. It was clean. The hostel was close to a supermarket, a car rental place, a gas station and the beach.
