The fantastic location offers breathtaking views, and the room is spacious and comfortable. The thoughtful addition of ample water in the room was a much-appreciated touch.

Great apartment on the top floor; only stayed one night but would be a great place for longer stay; walking distance from coffee shops and restaurants.

Monchique Springs is a small village a few minute drive from Monchique town. It's much nicer than the town, which seems quite neglected. In contrast Monchique Spa is green, beautiful, well kept and much more interesting with an air of a spa in Switzerland, or England. A must to see!

A beautiful Roman Spa town set high in the hills above the Algarve; the hotel we stayed in was part of the spa which has been bought by an ambitious hotelier who has yet to improve all the buildings to a satisfactory standard. The signage at the hotel is woeful we spent the first two hours of our visit completely lost. If the entrance to the guest parking is down the side of a factory which it is, tell people rather than leave them driving around confused

Monchique is a pretty little town in the mountains, with quiet cobbled streets, boutique shops and wonderful cafes. The new Velochique Cafe is amazing. The area is dotted with incredible trails for walking and cycling and is a great place to stay for a quiet night but still close enough to the Algarve to visit during the day. Silves is a wonderful nearby historic town with an 11th century fort and more wonderful shops and restaurants. Monchique has a good mid sized supermarket that caters for all your needs too. And there are some good local restuarants.

Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Everyone was friendly and helpful. Monchique was lovely and there is a good supermarket for self caterers. Had the best food at Vintage in the centre. Foia just up the hill was perfect for views. Brilliant stop for the race track at Portimao.

Monchique in august is a quiet, little, hilly town, a good start location for visiting activities in the surroundings: hiking, karting, kayakking (Lagos), visiting castles and so on. The houses are either nicely painted infresh colors or the y are in a bad shape and locked. In the town and also around it, are multiple trails to walk/hike.
Wonderful peaceful location, beautiful clean house and very spacious living area and kitchen. Hosts are friendly and they sent messages to make sure we were OK during the visit. Orchard where we could pick lemons and avocados. Excellent shaded terrace area with very good barbeque. Kitchen is well equipped. Close to Monchique for exploring region and local ceramics/artists but also feels secluded. Very friendly neighbours.
An exceptional stay at this hotel was made even more memorable by the kindness of the owner. Their warmth and genuine care for guests truly set this place apart. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a delightful hospitality experience."
I can not wait to go back again.
There was no breakfast. There is no restaurant at the hotel (which we knew about when we booked). There is an excellent pastelaria just across the road which is very good for a portuguese style breakfast - delicious croissants! There are several other restaurants nearby.
I work in tourism for almost 40 years. A hotel usually is for sleeping and eating. Here it’s to meet the most beautiful people that own and administrate the place. When people have big heart the place can’t be bad. It’s a wonderful place with wonderful people.
A paradise-like place where you can relax with nature. Especially the view from the hotel is amazing!
Joao, the hotel owner, is also a very kind and warm person. He will always make you feel welcome and will be happy to help you avoid any inconvenience.
Great location with wonderful views with a lovely garden to walk around and a generous pool. The hosts/family very friendly and helpful. Several bar/restaurants nearby (family run chicken restaurant very good) and Monchique around ten minutes away.
Beautiful complex of new and older renovated buildings. Our room were in a new structure overlooking the pool and terraced hillside. Very comfortable and dog friendly. The spa was amazing. I spent an hour in the pool with the Monchique water.
Great place with a good restaurant, delicious food and wonderful staff. Perfectly located to hike and a close distant to coastal towns. Spa and thermal waters five minutes walk from the hotel. Lovely spot
Beautiful location with fabulous views. Lovely pool, quiet and relaxing. The hotel is really good value for money and was very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.
Beautiful location in Monchique, enjoyed a quiet and relaxing stay. Apartment was clean, comfortable, spacious, everything well organized. Great breakfast and nice pool for relaxing!
Might not be shiny and modern but a well maintained hotel. Food was similarly no frills but basic good quality. Value for money was exceptional, particularly for a solo traveller.
Stunning views ,comfortable beds, all that we needed in our kitchenette , welcoming helpful staff, food was fabulous , would highly recommend this hotel
This hotel is very client oriented. All details were amazing: rooms are super clean, nice cosmetics, friendly staff. Nature around is also astonishing.
