Spectacular location with ocean view. Interesting walk to waterfall from Hotel. A wonderful breakfast was included. Dinner available in the Hotel was also good.
The infinity pool and bar really added a spa feeling to our stay.

Very nice owner, though she didn't speak english. But she really tried to provide everything possible. One of the friends was sick, the owner brought herbal tea, honey, pastilles. The views from the house are fantastic.

Very nice small town with a nice beach and good restaurants. There are 2 levadas to walk. There is a small shop in town where you can find everything you need. Ponta do Sol in itself is nothing really special.
Ponta do Sol in itself is nothing really special. But given the fact that you have rental car you can just discover the whole island. It is highly recommended to visit Calheta, there is a very nice harbour and little boulevard. Must go there is restaurant Manifattura Di Gelato. Another very good restaurant is La Vaca Negra in Funchal; best steaks ever!

Such a pretty little place - lots of winding streets - many pedestrian only, and good restaurants too. We mostly ate at the hotel, but also at a restaurant called Caprice which was fantastic and great value for money. We were delighted to find lots of interesting sculpture around the place which was fascinating, and the people were all very chilled and welcoming. The pavements are mostly cobbled, and of course there are lots of hills so challenging if your mobility is reduced as my parent's was - didn't stop us though - we just took our time and there were regular places to sit and rest along the way.

Its a very good place to base yourself as its very easy to get around the island from there, there are may different walks within a short drive.. It is a very small but quaint place. You get the most amazing sunsets in Ponta do Sol .

What we like is, that it was just ca 550m far away from center, beach, shop and restaurants, however !!beware!! also +100 meters high, with stairs you don't need to go by the road and us takes it about 8 minutes. The hose have just 2 studios, our was small, clean and well equip with fantastic terrace (sometimes windy),m where you can drink wine and look for the sunset. .

Definitely not to forget to mention the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, we asked Veronica in the reception everyday some recommendations or questions she is always patient to help us.

Generally you need a car, as the property is located high enough, though you can walk down to the beach, which takes 30 mins. Really helpful managers - Christian and Margaret. Great view from balcony. Barbecue facilities, though we didn’t use them, as there are plenty of restaurants in Ponta do Sol and Ribeira Brava.

Ideal place to stay for hiking and driving around Madeira island. A very spacious and fresh apartment with super hosts. The place was even better than announced, super clean, well equipped with everything you need even for a long term stay. Local services (grocery store, restaurants, cafes, small shopping center) satisfy everyday needs.

A car is highly recommended, because although the #4 bus goes past the house, we could not work out the route. Alternatively a taxi is €8 from Ponta do Sol. The Levada Nova is only a couple of minutes away by car, and the walk along the valley with views across to the better known levada walks is spectacular.

It is the best place to stay, if you want to explore the island.. it is max 1 hour to every corner of island and Ponta do Sol is the most sunny place on Madeira, so even on other parts of island was bad weather, here was mostly sunny.
