Clean, comfortable, amazing views, friendly and helpful staff. They even left a sweet surprise for our daughter for Children’s day which I thought was a lovely touch. Great location for families or couples.

First of all, the owner of the Club is the manager: he is there and on top of everything. He is a wealth of information. His advice to visit Évora was spot on. Secondly, the place is gorgeous both architecturally and naturally.
The beach and rock formations are stunning. The antiques throughout the hotel are gorgeous. Breakfast was not only nutritious but so generous.
Finally, the restaurants nearby offered great options and a variety of vibes. Loved this place and we will hopefully come back! Written by Richard's wife Mercedes

a cute quiet town with wonderful walks and beaches. Nice restaurants and bars and just enough shops for a potter around. Very easy to get around with all the boardwalks linking the town and the beaches. Lots of wonderful fish and seafood restaurants. A bit quiet for a family for more than a week unless you relish R&R.

Alvor is a lovely place to holiday,There is a boardwalk right along the beach and down to the nature reserve at one end. There are so many lovely restaurants and there is plenty of choice of types of meals on offer. We particularly like the restaurants servig Portuguese food and the fish restaurants by the harbour.
There is a local bus to Portimao and it is also possible to visit other places by bus.

I really liked Alvor - a small quiet town for relaxation.
I really liked Alvor - a small quiet town for relaxation. Picturesque coastline, friendly residents, many places to eat deliciously. A convenient place to visit the whole Algarve - Alvor is in the middle. The most beautiful place in Alvor for me is the old town and the beach. We ate a lot of seafood. Great local food, wine, coffee bike. We visited the farthest point in Europe, Cabo da Roca; the highest point in the Algarve - Monchique. I would love to come here again.
First time staying at Pelican Alvor. Lovely quiet Hotel, within a 15 walk to Alvor. Room was like a large modern Apartment with all the mod cons. Breakfast was very tasty with a variety of hot food and delicious pastries.Pool area is so tranquil and restful that we actually spent a lot of time at it,something we rarely do on holidays. Extremely good value for our weeks stay. All the staff very friendly especially at check in desk who were very accomodating on our early arrival. Will definitely return next year.
All the rooms were recently renovated, that was great.
Room is big and clean.
Staff is very helpful and friendly, very good service always worried about your stay. Comparing to even few 5* hotels, some doesn’t have staff and service so attentive. So Pestana did very good job here.
Also some good a activities and space for kids. Great Relax restaurant for adults.
Friendly staff, spacious , modern and spotless apartment with super comfy beds and great Wi-Fi. Lovely breakfast buffet and overall a very peaceful and relaxed vibe in the hotel . 10 min easy walk to centre of Alvor
with its amazing beach. Alvor also has plenty of great restaurants and a supermarket very close to the hotel .
Great staff throughout the hotel, really friendly and helpful, always smiling. Hotel is in a superb location, access straight onto beautiful beach and easy access to Alvor in the evening. Sea view rooms well worth getting. Very nice breakfast and pool bar food really good too. A great hotel all round.
The facility is spacious, with access to a beautiful beach, pool and other amenities. Foz Club was more like staying at a friend's villa than staying at a hotel. It was quiet and uncrowded. We enjoyed meeting and talking with the owner. It was a most surprising and pleasant experience.
It was super clean and staff were nice and helpful. Location is super good with free parking spots. It had some restaurants right outside and a supermarket as well. The hostel is also in walking distance from the center of Alvor, which has a lot of nice and cozy restaurants.
People in location are friendly as most Portuguese are but there is not a lot to see except you are going to stay on the beach and have place to sleep. Alvor compare to other Algarve cities is not very attractive and you need to go to other places.
the town it is located in- Alvor. not too busy with tourists and if you got a car it is convenient to get around.
staff were friendly although they did not inform us that we have comp welcome drinks but they helped throughout the stay
Fantastic apartment which contains everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Great location close to the town. Contains a large balcony overlooking the pool and a great roof terrace with views over Alvor and the sea.
Large apartment with 2 balconies where one of them is always in the sun. Nice sized bathroom, very clean. It is in an amazing location, I have been to Alvor over 10 times and this was by far the best location.
This hotel knows how to look after their guests!! The location, facilities, friendliness of staff and the lovely atmosphere and surrounds. Great choice of breakfast options, no complaints whatsoever.
Excellent hotel, stunning view of the beach from the balcony.
Clean and comfortable.
Would definitely recommend.
Great for watching the sunset.
Next time I’m in Portugal I will stay here.
Hotel is located just outside the main part of Alvor and easy to walk in to the resort area. Breakfast was basic but ok. Off street parking at rear was good.
