The staff was fantastic. One of the restaurant employees went out of his way to refill our water bottles during our first morning at breakfast. We discovered markets and were able to buy water for the remainder of our stay.
Lots of good restaurants are within walking distance, as is the waterfront. The Koi restaurant in the hotel was very good too.
We stayed at in a family suite. It had lots of nice amenities: robes, slippers, a Nespresso coffee maker, and cookies delivered every evening. The rooms were very clean and the housekeeping staff was very accommodating.

Location is great! 5 min to the city centre. There is a bakery / pastry shop right next to it and it is open all night (we managed to get some food at 6 AM before going to the airport). The staff is super nice and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious and many options, with cakes that would vary daily. The parking was a great perk considering that outside is all paid.

There are so many choices for dining all within walking distance. A bus stop for a couple of local bus routes is just steps away. Venture up the side streets away from the harbor for some hole in the wall eateries and interesting shops. It is a very safe place to vacation. Mercado do Peixe has excellent seafood and desserts. There's even an Irish pub, Ned Kelly's if you prefer your beer on the dark side! Renting bikes to enjoy the bikeway along the water is a great idea! Be aware that the bikepath ends at a few spots and you need to share the narrow roads with cars. Well worth it to be able to explore more. A rental car or jeep tours are essential to see everything on the island.
Next time, I would plan more time in the Furnas area, so much natural beauty wherever you look.

It was my third time and I always had a great time. People are lovely, it is easy to walk to places. There are plenty of activities you can do on the island, which you can access from Ponta Delgada. I love the vibe and will definitely come back again.

Out dated, many poor restaurants barely qualifying as Portuguese in nature. A lot of restaurants provided poor cooing skills ( i am a retired Executive chef of 40+ YEARS) Corrupt ATM machines, just like all over the EU, Tourist predators. Car rentals very cheap, however they don't recognize 3rd and 4th party Insurance...you damage your car you pay for all damages on the spot! Stores boring, very few pastry shops..only saw one. I was like going back 50 years in time

A very nice city with very friendly locals.
A very nice city with very friendly locals. I enjoyed every bit of the city. It was easy to plan an easy city hike in a day to see all the good spots. I would however recommend visiting outside of the peak season of tourists just to have a more relaxed experience of the city without the crowd and the spike in prices. and also, they mean it when they say it's a city where you experience all 4 seasons in a day XD

Very relaxed, chilly vibe.
Very relaxed, chilly vibe. Weather changes quickly with fresh blowing air and quite good prices in restaurants. The one and only minus is for transport which is cheap but not very frequent and reliable, ideally rent some kind of vehicle.
We had a great stay in Azor Hotel (now Octant Hotel). It started with a very friendly and helpful receptionist, João. The room is good size, clean and very modern, and the towels are very high quality (usually a good indicator for the quality of the hotel), bed is comfortable. The room view (with window to the floor) is amazing. The breakfasts are superb. The hotel has a great spa facility. The taxi ride from airport is less than15 minute.
Most importantly, one can feel the hotel and the staff trying their best to be a top quality hotel.
Breakfast was great, with a great view, and amazing food, and the owners were always up for a nice chat and also very helpful with recommendations and advice. I think it was probably the best inn I ever stayed at and there is definitely no other place I would want to stay when I visit the Azores. In case you want to rent a car, ask the owners because they know a place that will deliver the car and paperwork straight to the inn. Taxi from and to the airport is also cheap and convenient.
Pro tip: ask for the omelet for breakfast.
An absolute gem of a hotel. The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. Everything about our stay was perfect. Beautiful rooms, great facilities and a short walk into the centre of Ponta Delgada for all the cafe's, shops, bars and restaurants.
Hotel food and drinks were reasonably priced and of exceptional quality. The bar staff were superb - recommending Azores gin and tonics and local beers to suit our tastes.
In short - if you're looking at this hotel as an option, book it. You won't be disappointed.
Quite unique place to stay. We stayed in Azores apartment for one week as a couple and it was really spacious. It would be a bargain for group of 4 or 6 people. Great host, very helpful with everything and easy to communicate. Cozy interior decor and fantastic , well equipped kitchen with a view from the top floor. Great location and large market right on the door step. Pick up for most of the tours from nearby hotel and about 20 minutes walk to the port and center of Ponta Delgada. We would definitely stay again.
Beautifully designed small hotel with lovely grounds, close to the airport and downtown Ponta Delgada, but very quiet and peaceful. Ample parking. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful, the rooms were spotless, well-equipped and comfortable. The breakfast was extensive with fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, different kinds of bread, meats, cheeses, cakes, etc. and egg options cooked to order. We didn't have time to try out any of the spa facilities so cannot comment on these.
I had an accommodation in Canadiano Urban Nature hotel in period between September 3 and September 11, 2023.
Everything was extraordinary and great: locaton, accomodation, food, personnel. Specially, I need to say big thank you to Maria Rodrigues, front office. If you are in some kind of dilemma and unknowledge, she is the person on which you can rely in every situation. She made my time on Azores unforgettable and beautiful.
Thanks a lot and best regards from Belgrade (Serbia)
The staff was exceptional, so nice, really helping! we loved them so much! the hotel is just right on the beach, the breakfast is great, hotel is clean and located in a quite good place (not far from ponta about 1km from the port, but still not in the city center). The staff is ready to help you with your program in case the weather gets worse or give you tips and help you with anything you need.
Casa da Graca felt more like a B&B than a hotel. They provide a wonderful breakfast each morning. The location is perfect for reaching any part of Ponta Delgada via foot or car. The owners offered great advice on places to visit and to find specific things that might be needed. As a bonus, the sushi restaurant p'Alma across the street is excellent; be sure to make reservations.
The staff is wonderful and very accommodating and friendly. Always willing to help and make stay more pleasant. The rooms are well equipped, very modern and clean and a great size. Breakfast had a variety of options and we loved how it was delivered to our room. The hotel is in the center of ponta Delgada and with many restaurants within a walking distance
location is great to walk to anything in Ponta Delgada. The room was exceptionally clean, as was the rest of the property. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. the breakfast was delicious. There is also Panaderia Gomes bakery next door which is the best bakery in the world, open 21 hrs per day. taxi to airport is quick and about 10€.
The location in Ponta Delgada is great! It is very easy to walk around to restaurants, bars and sites around the city. The hotel has free parking on site (though spots are limited and first come, first served), which makes it convenient to have a car during your stay, so that you can explore the rest of the island easily too.
I liked everything, the hotel is in a central area but a quiet one, the host was very kind and the hospitality was the best. He also called a taxi when I left for the airport because my flight was early in the morning. The room was very clean and comfortable.I’d would like to come back and visit again
The location was great, right in the centre of Ponta Delgada. The staff were friendly and helpful. The common areas are lovely. The air con in the room was much needed in the high humidity of the Azores in August. The room was a good size.
The location was lovely. The front desk staff was very kind, and provided change when we needed to feed the meter. Our room was nice and fairly cozy. The best parts of the hotel are really the lobby and main public areas.
my favourite hotel in Thé Azores!
this was my second visit. The hotel is beautiful and a great location. The staff are welcoming, kind and very helpful. The hotel has a positive vibe.
The location was close to downtown Ponta Delgada and also close to local restaurants, beaches and natural pools. It is located in residential area so it was quiet at night.
The hotel is great! The staff are very accommodating and granted us early access to 2 of our 3 rooms. We definitely will stay there again upon our return to the Azores!
Placed in a perfect location in the heart of Ponta delgada. A clean richly supllied room, far beyond the expectation from a 2 star hotel. Friendly and helpful reception.
