Beautiful property! Small well appointed room. Excellent breakfast. We heard music playing outside and went to find it, there was a food pop up in the Mercado across from the hotel with live music. Pleasant evening.

Second time here, nice rooms, comfy beds, great location but its the amazing staff that makes this place. So helpful, so professional. Really a cut above.

Really liked the theme of the hotel which is really awesome and characteristic
The staff was amazing! Provided a great experience and they were extremely nice. The room was great and had everything we could need. The breakfast was very good. Unfortunately we could not try the pool but it looked great as well.

Setubal is not a big city but it is quite lively. There are plenty of restaurants and bars and a lot to explore. The tourist information is great for advice and bookings. It is recommended to visit the national park, the Troia peninsula is good for a stroll and dolphin watching is great.

There is a variety of activities here.
There is a variety of activities here. Parts of the city are in decline, common in many Portugal cities, but likewise there are other areas that are very nice. We are seniors, 67 yo, and we walked everywhere, even at night, to restaurants, and felt quite safe. The main area of Avenida Luiza Todi has many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants with a variety of cuisines. Nice grocery Pingo Doce right there. Very helpful Tourism Office. There are a couple Museums, working waterfront, and a linear park through the center of the city with cafes, sculptures, benches and fountains. Some wonderful plazas and squares.
A short drive to a beautiful beach, and a mountaintop National Park, with hiking and fantastic views. We drove over this and visited wineries to taste wine. A very nice area less hectic than some areas of Lisbon, just 1/2 hour away.
Setùbal has an absolutely amazing public market on the Avenida Luiza Todi. We were only here for three nights, but could have found more to do with a longer visit.

I stayed three nights and that was perfect length to do a trip outside and see the city and castle and try some fresh grilled fish on the restaurants. Go to Setubal to experience a little rough side of Portugal for budget travellers it is also less expensive than many other cities in Portugal. For golfers stay in Setubal, Troia Island were very sleepy after 18.00.

I must admit, I'm torn between sharing the secret of Setúbal's beauty and wanting to keep this gem all to myself. The stunning beaches, delectable food, breathtaking views, and warm-hearted locals are like treasures I'd like to hoard. However, if you decide to visit Setúbal, just savor the experience as I do every time I'm there, and you'll understand why I'm so reluctant to let go of this hidden paradise.

Check was really easy.
Check was really easy. Entrance hall is nice but room lacked some soul- no pictures or colour etc. Shower was tired but it was clean. Slightly out of town, and up a hill, we were fine as fit bit disabilities might struggle. It did the job as it was a 1 night stop off.

Anyone driving to Setubal needs to know that they have recently introduced a zonal parking system and there is little long stay parking available.
Apart from this we found Setubal to be a beautiful City with loads of lovely parks, riverside promenades, narrow streets with plenty of small squares and a surprising amount of street entertainment, including fire-eaters. On top of this the nearby Beaches are outstanding
This was an amazing place to stay!! it really is a “boutique” hotel. I can’t say enough about how impressed we were with the accommodations!! So creatively and beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, so comfortable and the staff were wonderful. The owner went beyond the call of duty to ensure that we were comfortable and happy. I must add that this hotel allowed us to leave our luggage there for 10 days as we’re were cycling from Setubal to the Algarve.
The breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel…not to be missed.
I liked the hotel. Rooms were clean as also the washroom and toilets were very clean. Location of the hotel in Setubal was good too. We enjoyed the breakfast specially with Chef Florina who was really very sweet, jovial, kind and entertained us with her lovely voice singing to her tunes. I must say Chef Florina and her team mates were very good and cordial too. Looking up to go there again whenever I plan a trip back in Setubal, Portugal. Thank you very much for everything.
Great guesthouse, great staff, comfortable rooms, easy communication, flexible check-in, friendly welcome. Our room on the upper floor was nice and very quiet (we did not hear the close train). The advice the owner give for beaches and food is fantastic, authentic local restaurants which we never would have found without the recommendation. Setubal is a vibrant original city with wonderful beaches in the natural park nearby. We regretted not to have stayed longer.
The owners were lovely and very chatty. Had a nice talk over breakfast.
The bubble was a new experience that I've never had before. It was nice to fall asleep to the stars.
Still a bit to early in the season to try out the pool but I put my feet in and it looks lovely.
It's a bit out of the way but only €20 taxi from setubal. Nice area around to explore.
Good breakfast with lots of options.
Everything you could think of the property had. If you wanted to bbq, go to the beach (had the towels), games to play, trash bags (we found a lot of places in Portugal do not provided). Out of all the places we stay in Portugal which was 6, this by far was the best.
It felt like a home away from home. When we come back we will definitely stay.
A unique location in a historic manor house transformed into a luxury hotel, around vineyards supplying the harvest of grapes for Maria Jose de Fonesca, the oldest wine producer of the Setubal peninsula. Very professional hotel staff and an excellent hotel restaurant. There is a possibility of organizing relaxing horse riding in the field.
The property and house was even better than expected. The location is so beautiful, surrounded by nature and quiet. Close to the most beautiful beaches and not far from Lisbon. We really enjoy our stay here. Francisco was such a great host, gave us all the best recommendations and personal tips for the area. We will come back! 🙂
The room was very comfortable with both a sitting area inside and a balcony overlooking the vineyard. The queen canopy bed was extremely comfortable with excellent pillows and linens. I also enjoyed the claw foot soaking tub in the very large bathroom. This room and hotel exceeded my expectations.
Limited dinner menu but food good. Good buffet breakfast. The gardens were mature and very pleasant. Plenty of parking once you found the hotel - I parked several streets away at first and walked and had to finally ask directions. I was just driving round and round! in quite heavy traffic.
Great quirky little apartment. Right in the centre of Setubal with everything close by. Amazing restaurant just downstairs, supermarket, museums, beach - all few minutes away.
Stairs are a bit steep but nothing dangerous. Everything was clean and comfortable
The rooms are small but clean, personal friendly, a little problems with parking but location is very good. If you are looking for accomodation in Setubal it is good choice otherwise other hotels don't offer better quality for the price.
The location was amazing, one-minute walk from the main square, fifteen minutes walk to the nearest bus/train station to Lisbon. I was working remotely from the apartment and the internet connection was always good.
Location was good, couch and beds were comfortable, easy walk to restaurants and shopping, clean, view of the street with typical balcony and clothesline as seen in Portugal
Great location. Super attentive staff at this family run facility. In the heart of Setúbal. Nice sized room with welcome touches like coffee and moscatel from the region.
