Hotel fantastic - shame it was in Peniche because the place is a run down fish processing peninsula that smelt horrible. However we did find one outstanding restaurant - Os Americanos - seven of us ate here - could have a Michelin Star, the food was that good !

At first sight i couldn’t see the beauty of Peniche. But once I settled in and explored the beach and surrounding area it became clear it’s a beautiful place.
The beach is stunning, you have the choice of mingling with the locals or having so much space to chill.
The beach cafes were excellent and so well priced.
With so many restaurants to chose from, the seafood is delicious and again well priced. Simple food but made very well.
The Portuguese people are very welcoming and friendly.
A place I will visit again.

Friendly people lots to do but not marked on google maps so you have to explore alot of it yourself. The chapels are well worth a visit especially one of them that's at the far left of the peninsula. A monk was found in a cave there and they built a stunning chapel for him.

Peniche is a nice sea site town to visit. You can get fresh fish out of the fishermanˆs truck. We had a wonderful octopus in a restaurant by the Forte da Praia da Consolacao. Next time we will stay longer.

Peniche was our first beach town after visiting cities and it did no disappoint. It's a lovely spot and has a small beach town feel, as it should! It's was to walk around and there are many choices of bars and restaurants.

Some gorgeous beaches in Peniche and the surrounding area.
Some gorgeous beaches in Peniche and the surrounding area. We took some surf lessons which was great fun and the location for them is perfect. It's not a very bustling area, so if you're after a lot of atmosphere might not be the place for you.
Quite a isolated hotel on the point by the light house. A car is a must to go eat!
I must say the hotel was very clean and Fresh good 3* standard, despite the going back in time with the 60/70 s furniture😂 The bed was very comfortable, even if it looked like my granny’s has did the room!
Breakfast was ok but nothing special .
Staff were ok but didn’t talk much!
Overall worth a overnight stop in Peniche we’re other hotels are expensive.
Recommend the PIZZA restaurant on the roundabout just after you cross the river!!
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The manager (Luis) upgraded us to a nicer room on the 3rd floor with a great view. The room was spacious. We paid extra for breakfast, which was well worth the price.
The hotel is a good size outdoor swimming pool and also an indoor sauna and Jacuzzi.
The hotel is closer to the beach (less than 10 minutes walk) and about 25 minutes to the Center Peniche.
Overall a great experience.
Fantastic location, helpful and friendly staff - particularly Ana who was always happy to assist with booking activities or queries.
Great facilities, comfortable rooms and beds.
I found the hotel to be very clean, and food to be of excellent quality at the restaurant.
There are a plethora of activities to choose from (both relaxing and action packed).
Overall I am highly impressed with RIDE Surf Resort and spa.
Perfect location for the surrounding surf breaks, without the hassle of being in Peniche itself. Everything you need within a couple of minutes walk. Amazing host/owner, very friendly and knowledgeable about anything you might want to do in the area. Superb facilities, everything you would want and more. Loved to breakfasts too.
Good value for the price, but it is kind of a weird setting almost a health clinic feel more than a hotel. The pool looked nice and the setting around it too. the staff was nice as well. The restaurant served a set menu that was pretty simple but good. Nothing fancy but like I said, good value for the price.
This was an emergency trip for me since i want planning to visit peniche, and the only reference i had was: a sufriste hostel. Which i am not, so I was a little afraid of the reception at my arrival. Well, I was very well received by the beautiful girl at the front desk, she was so sweet and kind..
Very nice rooms: clean, lovely decorated and direct access to the jacuzzi. The beds were also very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast, which was very delicious and would absolutely recommend staying there! Location is also great, the hotel is only a 10 minute walk away from the local port.
Cool hotel. The studios are great. Breakfast was really good. My daughter liked the yard with the trampoline and the little playground. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice. Also, on the pool deck there was a big empty bird cage like they keep parrots or something, which would be cool.
I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The reception service was exceptional and the hotel itself was lovely. The fact that they offer surfing services on site was very convenient, and the proximity to the beach was a major plus. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
Fabulous small hotel that I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again. Modern rooms, pool with lounge chairs, drying racks for our laundry, delicious breakfast, friendly staff, bicycles for touring village, spot-on restaurant recommendations, etc!
Thank you, Ricardo!
The room was cosy and comfortable. The receptionist, Marta, went an extra mile to help us with our stay by explaining the options of seeing the town of Peniche. She also brought an item that we forgot in the room to our friends hotel.
Right in the centre of Peniche, close to all the restaurants and near the beaches. The property itself is a little family owned hotel very well put together and very clean. Breakfast was delicious!
Big rooms and balcony, clean all over and pleasant staff. Good breakfast, good location close to a very good beach and excellent Surf School in the hotel location. Big and clean swimming pools.
