Our suite was extremely spacious. The breakfast was very good. The photos on this site were a great match to the actual room. Central location - easy walk to the waterfront, restaurants and attractions.
Located in the historical neighborhood of Alfama in Lisbon, the Hotel Convento do Salvador is just a 6-minute walk from the iconic São Jorge Castle, the Sé Cathedral and the National Pantheon.
In the heart of the city, Lisboa Carmo Hotel features luxury rooms with classic and contemporary décor. The upper floors of the hotel offer views of the Tagus River and Lisbon's historic quarter.

Perfectly situated, ultra quiet, comfy, clean and convivial hotel nestled on a delightful square, and surrounded by truly excellent restaurants (indeed, one of them in in the hotel) and the best shopping in Portugal. The staff are all earnest, helpful and caring. Also, the hotel is but a five minute walk from the metro, a two minute walk to a pedestrian-only boulevard on which stands the oldest, continuously operating bookstore in the world, and is kitty-cornered to the Carmo convent, one of the few surviving relics of the earthquake that levelled the city in 1755. Oh yeah, and a nine-minute cab ride to the cruise terminal, if you’re heading off to sea after, which we were.
Providing ultra modern rooms with total-white designer furnishings, Gat Rossio is centrally located on a quiet street behind Restauradores Square and metro stop.

Getting near the site, sitting in the taxi that brought us from the airport, I felt nervous, not exactly knowing if the descriptions of the appartment were in accordance with reality. But getting there every reserve disappeared immediately, we sat down at the cafe nextdoor with the feeling of willing to stay there for the rest of our life. Everything but the short period of time was perfect.

Lovely quite town with all amenities in walking distance.
Lovely quite town with all amenities in walking distance. Friendly people but would be an advantage to know some basic Portuguese words.
Good for long walks and just having a quite peaceful time from a busy hectic lifestyle. Beach is walking distance and has Ferry to city centre which is about minutes away. Taxi to Airport is about 25Euros. Fares are very reasonable prices. Best to stay in an apartment and cook own meal as the restaurants can be quite expensive. Lidl supermarket is one of the best I've come across, with fresh fruit and veg, a big bakery area and also a fishmonger area.

There was a good stay worth its money.
There was a good stay worth its money.
The apartments are comfortable and the host is really friendly, nice and helpful.
Best choice for a family visit or relaxed holidays with friends.
As it is a bit far from Lisbon centre, the restaurant prices are lower, and the atmosphere is of cozy little tiny Portuguese towns.
Thanks.

We used Seixal as a base to visit Lisbon and the beaches along the costa Caparica, Sesimbra and Setubal. Very easy to get around with a hire car. Lidl supermarket is only 5 mins drive away. Running along the river is nice with a wide path and good views.
