Just up the hill from beach front with balcony views of pool and Atlantic Ocean. Luz is a beautiful town. Prettiest town at the beach front we visited in Portugal and Spain.
This hotel is located in Lagos. It features 2 ample outdoor swimming pools. Club House CVL is also conveniently located in Praia da Luz.

Gorgeous property. Lounge chairs and comfortable seating area around the pool. Well landscaped. Wish we could’ve used tennis courts but ran out of time. Large room with lots of places to sit and relax

Because we visit in January the pool wasn't open and the hotel was nearly empty. However, the staff organize an extremely nice breakfast for us. Very nice garden. The place should definitively be nice in season

If you want a quieter vacation without lots of people then Luz is great. There were sufficient places to eat good selection and service with a great view. It was an elegant location. We found a restaurant just out of town that was great value and excellent service.

Luz is a lovely old town on the coast now mostly given over to villas and holiday rentals. Nice coastal walks to Lagos.
We didn't love the restaurants, catering too much for the British I would think. Football showing everywhere.

We like the views along from the pagoda along the promenade and the beach and the variety of cafes and restaurants. Both the supermarkets are good and the bus service is reliable for getting both East and West along the coast.
New to us restaurant Urban had excellent food at great prices and friendly staff.

Luz is a very beautiful beach town with really great amenities. The views of the beach and cliffs are really beautiful. The promenade along the seafront is a marble cobblestone walkway with cafes and restaurants. Small market stalls for trinkets. The restaurants in Luz are top quality and my favourites are ZaZu and Latitude. During high season it is good to book.
There are 2 lots of beach concessions with sun beds and umbrellas. We were always on the beach by 9.30 but beds were Normally all taken by 10am.
Luz is a very family resort and very popular.
I wouldn’t recommend Luz to anyone with mobility issues as it is quite hilly.

Nice relaxed vibe.
Nice relaxed vibe. The Club CVL is called Hotel Luz Bay, which is not clear on the listing so the taxi driver was confused. Try the Forteleza Da Luz Restaurant the new chef is fantastic and the food is fabulous. Everything is fresh and local. The house red is great, the staff and owner are charming and v welcoming. It’s also a stunning old fort ….what a stylish venue!
colette from algarve holiday bookings was brilliant and the villa had everything you would want and probably the first villa i've been to where i didnt think i wish it had this or it had that, the accomodation was excellent in a fantastic location, and colette responded almost immediately if you had a question, and next time i'm in luz algarve holiday bookings will be my first choice so thanks.
The apartment that I stayed in was very spacious and clean and contained everything I needed. The apartment was very clean, bathroom & kitchen are fine, 3 beds and a nice sunny balcony. The location is amazing, only a 3 minute walk to the beach and the staff is very friendly. Nice budget option for a perfect stay in Luz.
The hotel is very beautiful. It's in the middle of nowhere, in a very quiet and relaxing place, but still very close to Luz and Lagos by car. The pool is awesome and the restaurant has a great view. There is private parking inside. Our room (with the pool view) is very large and has a small kitchen which was very handy.
It was good to be back in Luz, known to us for forty years. We loved to be walking on the beach, although the weather while we stayed did not encourage us to swim. we could see the beach from the balcony. It was good to have access to a range of TV programmes in English, and also to the library.
Very good boutique hotel. it is best to rent studio with terrace and pool view, with direct access (ground floor) to the 2 pools . Good breakfast with possibility to eat outside. large room with 2 queen beds, combined in 1 double bed, and living room (sofa bed). Free parking in front of hotel.
Most comfortable bed in all of Portugal. The flat is on the ground floor and is bright and airy. Very centrally located everything is a 5 minute walk at the most.
Fabio was very easy to communicate with and the self-check in was fast and simple.
A beautiful place to spend your vacations in Portugal. Super clean and really good for families. The host is super friendly and attentive and react to request super quickly. Can’t wait to stay here on my next visit to Luz
Room was very nice, very clean, and recently renovated. I think they gave me an upgrade.
Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety. As in most hotels, the coffee could be better and it would be nice to get a Capuchino.
Wonderful holiday village, newly renovated, in a beautiful botanical garden at the amazing coastline between Luz en Burgao. Just paradise. Best breakfast ever! We were in low season, village was very relaxed!
Brilliant location right beside the swimming pool, but because it was on the top level, it was very private and quiet. Great space inside and out, air-conditioning and all of the facilities at Baia da Luz.
Very clean and comfortable, loved sitting on balcony with coffee in am. Easy to walk to restaurants in Luz. Had a few questions for Caroline was was very responsive. Will stay again!
Nice swimming pool area, the rooms are small bungalows with a little terrace. A/C in the room, towels and basic body wash supplied.
Pretty close to the beach area of Luz (15 - 20min)
Loved this place - fully equipped apartment in country setting near Fisherman’s Trail. It’s 3.5 outside of Luz so plan to buy groceries en route or eat in the on-site restaurant.
The host, Hans and Ans were very hospitable and interested in our well-being. Room was like a standard hotel room, but villa, with all its amenities was gorgeous.
