A Millionaire's playground, Miami Beach is all about sun, sea and sand. Popular as a spring break destination, its miles of pristine sands shelve gently into the turquoise Atlantic Ocean.
Lining the beach are tall palm trees and the promenade, famous for the beautiful people that go rollerblading by. Add to this a warm, subtropical climate and you can see why many celebrities have chosen to set up home in Miami Beach.
You might even spot some of them shopping in the designer boutiques along Lincoln Road. And if your budget doesn’t quite stretch that far, there’s still a great range of shops with more moderate prices, including Aventura Mall and CocoWalk.
The city also has its fair share of culture, including the Art Deco District, which houses the world’s largest collection of Art Deco architecture, including some of the brightly-lit Miami Beach hotels on Ocean Drive.
Comprising a series of islands just across Biscayne Bay from Miami (the route you take from Miami Airport), this city has a heavy Latin American influence, which is evident in the cuisine and fantastic nightlife. Whether you choose Miami Beach accommodations in the North Beach, Mid Beach or South Beach areas, a Cuba Libre - rum and coke - is never far away.
It was the best beach I ever went
And the water was amazing
I have no wrong things to say
I would go again . My favorite spot was the park before you go to the beach and of course the beach.
I eat mostly in Catina restaurant: amazing food and staff

This was my first time to Miami Beach.
This was my first time to Miami Beach. The art deco architecture did not disappoint me. Thank goodness there was a woman back in the '70s who decided to help preserve all of that architecture. There is a tribute to her on Ocean drive at the tourist building. The beach is huge and there is a wonderful strip Park that travels the entire length of the Miami Beach area that you can walk or jog or bicycle. There are numerous restaurants along Ocean drive or back one or two or three blocks. There's a huge pedestrian Mall shopping area in the northern part of South Miami Beach. It's very easy to get into the city. If you have a rental car, it's just a short drive. Then you can be in the design district or Wynwood. Our favorite restaurant was Puerto Saugua. Their prices were reasonable for this area and I think it was pretty authentic Cuban influenced food. I had a bowl of pork stew with rice and fried sweet plantain bananas. Incredible. There is also a trolley system that is free that can get you up and down the entire strip. Like many other cities in the country, Miami Beach has a homelessness problem. But we never felt unsafe anywhere that we went.

The traffic is insane!
The traffic is insane! We enjoyed our time in my Miami for a conference but the commute was so long. The weather and hospitality was so nice. The views of the ocean was breath taking creating a calmness in our soul. Thank you Miami for bringing beauty and rest in this wacko-doodle world of ours. Bev T

I thought Miami Beach would be more "Beachy" but we found the beach itself a bit boring. So, we turned to the city for fun, and we found many great places to eat and hang out. The free trolley service made it easy to explore North, South, and all between. This is a great place for a few days, a bit unique from other places.

Excellent stay.
Excellent stay. The room/apartment is spacious and has all the necessary amenities required for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect. Just be aware that it is on top of Bar Palace. For us it was not an issue, it was a plus. Roof top pool access is also a must. Perfect hotel/apartments for a stay full of activities. It is not for relaxation. You should know that if booking any stay at Ocean Drive. Thank you.

Too much traffic.
Too much traffic. Streets blocked all around due to murders during spring break. Financial disparity overwhelming. Yachts and mansions yet the working class can't pay their bills or obtain good jobs.
Clean quiet and chic boutique hotel ideally placed for South Beach. Rooms are large and wifi and aircon are good. Some of the rooms are direct access from the street which saves having to trek through the hotel and makes Uber delivery easier. Given the prices in South Beach this is a bargain and just 2 mins to the beach although it's not beachfront, which means good value. Miami is not cheap (and I live in Dubai) so forget the unnecessary frills and spend the dollars you save at Lucali (best pizza ever) or Lock & Load!
The best possible location in South Beach! A walk away from the hottest spots in Miami Beach. Super friendly staff. Bela, our activity leader, was amazing! The hostel organizes daily activities for the guests, in a way you’ll make friends from all over the world. Rooms and beds are clean and comfortable. Also, my locker was big enough to store all of my luggage. You won’t regret staying in Viajero!
Sheila. The front desk girl is so helpful and friendly. She help me change the room. And give me very detailed information of planning 4 days in Miami. Really like the bus and boat Miami tour I booked with her. Highly recommended. Rooms is clean, and the hotel is great location next to South Beach. Feeling safe and comfortable to stay here. And other staffs in front desk also very good.
An exceptional hotel right in the heart of South Beach. One block from Ocean Drive, walkable to all sights. The room was very spacious with a large comfortable bed. The hotel was quiet, however outside on the street can get noisy at night. No breakfast offered, but proximity to all restaurants/cafes/coffee shops make this a non issue.
Brilliant value for money!
Good location, walking distance to cafés and nice residential neighbourhood. it was a great alternative stay to the typical Miami beach (South beach) vibe. We really liked the beach that was just 15min walk away. it was so quiet and tranquil. Good amenities at the hotel included in the resort fee (ex: kayak rental, beach shuttle). Nice pool at the rooftop.
The room was very clean and well-appointed, both of which actually seems to be disturbingly rare qualities in south beach hotels at this price point. The daily free glass of wine on the roof was pretty fun, though you could only get white or rosé, red wine was an extra charge for some reason. Some quirkiness here and there but overall a good stay.
The hotel has a very retro vibe which I liked as well as the patio/courtyard.
The area is quiet, we slept comfortably and we walked with ease from the hotel to the beach as well as to cafè and restaurants. It's a smart key position in South Beach.
CVS is round the corner, and Miami Beach Trolley plus bus 120/150 are 2min away; very convenient.
Perfect for a family of 5. 2 adults 2 adult teens,, and a teenager. Everything was great. The staff was nice the hotel and room was clean upon arrival and ready. This is a great location to Everything and being able to cross the street and catch the trolley to go to the other end of south beach and ocean drive etc was awesome. Will book again
It’s a great location and a quiet place after being in the wild and party area of South Beach was really north of south beach was good spot for shopping and dining I like trying different hotels in the area. If your a pool person don’t stay here way to small and dead on the roof unlike other hotels I’ve stayed at in South beach
Direct ocean access, clean and quiet compared to 99% of South Miami Beach hotels. No insects in the room, no electricity issues, no hot water issues, which is also quite rare for this price in South Miami Beach.
TLDR: awesome price/value for this specific location full of run-down properties with rude management.
The hotel is in a central location, with great access to South Miami Beach.
It is beautifully decorated. The staff are brilliant, very friendly and helpful without being too much in the customers’ face.
The restaurant is really good.
The location of this property was prefect. It was right in front of South Beach, with a range of bars, restaurants and shops right on the hotel's door steps. The roof top pool was a great feature, which had a beautiful view of the beach.
I had an ocean front room with great views and liked that the property is right on the beach. It's not far to walk for a morning swim / beach walk. This is definitely a quiet hotel, best suited for families and/or older couples.
We loved that Crystal Beach Suites was on the beach and a short Uber to South Beach and many restaurants. We had a late fight out and were able to stay at the beach and keep our bags at the hotel for a minimal fee.
Such fun art at the cool Deco Pestana Hotel in South Beach. We love it: Portuguese company with friendly service, chic design and walkable to EVERYTHING in SoBe, but not “on the main drag” so much more relaxing.
I liked that the hotel was all 'South Beach' atmosphere on the outside and yet very clean modern and efficient in the rooms.
The extra perks were very nice and the staff was very helpful and pleasant.
eclectic boutique hotel. only a block from mid Miami Beach which is quiet and away from the busy south beach. beach umbrellas, lawn chair and towels provided. also bikes are available to use.
The place has everything to be the best place in South Beach but the staff and the operational aspect of the hotel was just horrific! Please … DO NOT EVER STAY THERE!!!!
