A Millionaire's playground, Miami Beach is all about sun, sea and sand. Popular as a spring break destination, its miles of pristine sands shelve gently into the turquoise Atlantic Ocean.
Lining the beach are tall palm trees and the promenade, famous for the beautiful people that go rollerblading by. Add to this a warm, subtropical climate and you can see why many celebrities have chosen to set up home in Miami Beach.
You might even spot some of them shopping in the designer boutiques along Lincoln Road. And if your budget doesn’t quite stretch that far, there’s still a great range of shops with more moderate prices, including Aventura Mall and CocoWalk.
The city also has its fair share of culture, including the Art Deco District, which houses the world’s largest collection of Art Deco architecture, including some of the brightly-lit Miami Beach hotels on Ocean Drive.
Comprising a series of islands just across Biscayne Bay from Miami (the route you take from Miami Airport), this city has a heavy Latin American influence, which is evident in the cuisine and fantastic nightlife. Whether you choose Miami Beach accommodations in the North Beach, Mid Beach or South Beach areas, a Cuba Libre - rum and coke - is never far away.
“Hotel and resort area was neat and clean.”
“The value is great and the beds are comfortable and all is clean!”
“Not overcrowded like other bigger hotels in miami. Staff are very friendly.”
“Courteous staff. Unassuming boutique hotel.”
“From the valet to the bellman to the front desk everyone was welcoming, and warm! Taylor in the front desk reception couldn't have been nicer!! Javier at the main pool kept coming by to make sure we had everything we needed, and were comfortable, plus he did something special to help make my sons birthday an unforgettable experience! Sometimes with a hotel this size, meals can be inconsistent, everything was cooked to perfection, and tasted fantastic! We loved our whole experience and can't wait to go back!!”
“First off, the staff was incredibly accommodating. My friend and I stayed on a king mattress and it was probably one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on.”
“very professional staff, great location, extremely clean, beautiful rooms, huge bed, cool bar”
“Absolute pleasure staying at Metropole. Location is FAB! The staff was very helpful and friendly. My stay was quite long so got to know everyone pretty well, became a mini family. Felt like home. :) Thank you Carlos, Jenny, Katie and Michael. Also the housekeeping staff especially Diana. Definitely will be staying here again when visiting Miami!”
“it was great, right price, excellent location, the staff was extremely professional, very nice. super good customer service”
“The location, it is across the street from the beach, the rooftop pool was fun and alive. The rooms are very comfy, the beds and pillows amazingly comfy. The staff very helpfull and friendly at all time.”
“friendly staff & amazing location!”
“After i booked,I read the previous reviews made me nervous but once I arrived everything was great the hotel is a little old so it could use fresh paint but I went for vacation and I give this hotel 5 stars for price location staff etc the pool is nice views are great and the rooms are perfect for a cheap Lil getaway to an overpriced city”
“We stayed at Eden Roc for a total of 5 nights, having originally booked 4 but we just couldn't leave! Location is around a $10 cab from the main bars/restaurants/shops so is lovely and quiet at nighttime yet so accessible. Staff could literally not have been nicer or more helpful and we actually got a free upgrade because it was one of the girls birthdays. Front door staff are helpful and great fun. Beautiful pools, room, food etc etc. Couldn't recommend it enough!!”
“The staff was extremely friendly throughout the entire hotel....the beach was perfect and quiet...The breakfast buffet was great staff and food were really good...my waiter I forgot his name but I think it's Nganci he was the best...”
“Balcony with Sea and City view, great Staff everywhere.”
“Great bargain considering hotels cost a kings ransom in Miami Beach. Room had high ceilings with white washed wood beams. Reminded me of a Spanish palace. The air-conditioning was very effective and really quiet. Sleep cheap and then hang out at the really expensive hotels for patio breakfast on the beach or cocktails.”
“We only stayed one night before our cruise.I could take public transportation to the port from here. I was very pleased. This was the cheapest place I could find in all of Miami Beach. It is a short walk to the beach and you can take public transportation from the airport to the hotel.somebody told me not to stay in Nort Miami beach as it was unsafe but i didn't feel unsafe at all day or night.I was out both times of day.Plenty of hotels in this area and lots of shops and restaurants and even Publix within walking distance.”
“The staff at the front desk were amazing. I flew in from NYC to see my girlfriend and for some fun in the sun. I didn't really know what to expect but we were blown away, the place is much bigger than depicted in the pictures, its spacious enough for 4 adults to sleep comfortably. It's literally 3 minutes from the nice, clean, warm waters of North Miami beach (15 minutes drive to South Beach & Wynwood) and there are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. We are definitely staying here again!!”
“Easy walk to fabulous beach and plenty of choice of restaurant cuisines. We were lucky and got one of the three out front parking places. Enjoyed the outside space at the rear of the hotel; nice place to sit with a glass of wine after a long day and to meet some of our fellow guests. Bus routes to Miami Beach South and Downtown Miami just outside so no need to use the car.”
“The hotel is on Collins Avenue, the heart of Miami Beach. But it is 25 blocks north of the action. It is only 100 yards to the beach and that is what we wanted. The beach access is awesome. Parking is $36/day at 43rd & Collins and may be full during high season.”
