Getting around was easy, whether by bus, Uber, tram or on foot. A family of six including Grandma on rented scooter. Buses and Uber were accommodating for the scooter. Walking down strip had plenty of ramps and elevators. The kids, ages 8 and 12, liked the experiences as much as the adults and want to go back. For a buffet experience we chose A.Y.C.E. at the Plaza. It was totally outstanding. We stayed at the Excalibur which was great with kids.

I enjoy the heck out of Vegas.
I enjoy the heck out of Vegas. I've said it before and I'll say it again: you don't need to gamble and/or drink to enjoy Vegas. However, Vegas when it's over 110⁰ is quite miserable. It's impossible to stay in the air conditioning 100% of the time if you want to do anything. Once it's dusk, things get better. Up until this trip, I'd say Vegas by bus was the way to go, but between construction and the hordes trying to board the Deuce bus, all the drivers are cranky, and with good reason. Talk about unruly crowds. I walked back to my hotel after waiting with a horde for about 10 minutes. I kept looking for the bus to pass, but it never did. Sadly, this is now typical. There should be more busses according to the schedule, but you're lucky if busses come every 30 minutes. Avoid the 104 line as well. I waited for over an hour for that one.
Here are a few places I've tried and liked in terms of food: Pokeman (Spring Valley - tons of yummy looking Asian food in this area), The Egg Shop, Vickie's Diner for breakfast, Spiegel's prime rib special in downtown, Original Lindo Michoacán (pipian!), Le Macaron (they're made with almond flour for your gluten free pleasure).
If you haven't been to Meow Wolf yet, go. It's such a trip! Ka and Mystere by Cirque due Soleil are both good.

Vegas is over.
Vegas is over. Do not expect anything of value and you will not be disappointed, expect to be ripped off at every business you encounter and you will not be disappointed. For all you old timers who remember good old vegas, trust me it is what you get when you turn a town over to bean counters and nothing like even 20 years ago. I will not go back to be continuously insulted by 60 dollar a night internet fees, 20 dollar a night parking, etc. Dont go.

Las Vegas is a blast!
Las Vegas is a blast! You can plan an adult only vacation, or a family friendly vacation. There is so much to do that you'll never have the same experience twice. Parking and the heat can be tricky so have plenty of money for parking, food/drink, and souvenirs. Wear your best walking shoes as you will be walking a lot but it's worth it. If you cannot handle heat, avoid Las Vegas from about June through August, as it can be well over 100 degrees outside.
Great location next to Bellagio Fountain and attached to the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Easy walking anywhere on the strip since its the midpoint of the best part of the strip. Next to bus stop for riding the Deuce bus which is a great value and easy to use to get to Fremont Street or to Mandalay Bay. Restaurants and bars everywhere. And no stupid Resort Fee!!!
Friendly and helpful staff, room facilities good (similar to UK Travelodge) and quiet at night in the hotel so a good sleep! Good buffet style breakfast with varied items. 20 minute walk to the strip but we got taxi back late at night (about 15$ from a hotel on the strip). The hotel met all our requirements so will stay here if we visit Las Vegas again
I liked everything, a chic hotel, in my opinion simply the best in Las Vegas, convenient location, quick check-in, friendly staff, it is possible to upgrade the room at no extra charge, compliments from the hotel, shops, restaurants, everything is just gorgeous. We have been here several times and next time we will choose only this hotel.
staff was very professional. hotel was extremely clean. location is ideally located to visit the entire area which was our purpose-to look for a new home. room was very comfortable and extremely easy to live in for 10 days. i highly recommend this Residence Inn in Las Vegas South. best hotel ever.
This is one of the older hotels on the strip and it was very apparent when we were in the hotel. The rooms were dark, the AC was very loud, and the whole place smells of cigarette smoke. However, it was clean, cheap, good location and the staff were really lovely.
Fantastic location in downtown Las Vegas. The hotel is situated a short walk to Fremont St where you will find restaurants, shops, casinos etc.
The casino situated within the hotel is great too. Staff were friendly and always willing to help even when gambling!
It was my first time staying in downtown Las Vegas. I received a complimentary upgrade. The suite was so gorgeous that I decided to stay and cancel my reservation at the Cosmopolitan. The hotel is ADULT ONLY, it was great not hearing kids running around.
Well equipped kitchen. Good filter coffee, we requested more.
Although small we also made good use of the gym facilities.
Great location, short walk from the strip yet the cost was much cheaper than those hotels closer or on the strip. Value for money.
Compared to other hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, this was the best value for my visit as a solo traveller. It was basic with one bed and the facility seems aging with an old television set without high definition channels but it was clean.
Once more, for me, the best hotel in Las Vegas. Quiet just outside the Strip, great rooms, great service, great food.
Make sure you have an upper level room with view on the Strip, so you can enjoy the Sphere spectacular lighting scenes!
The hotel was unbelievable, has to be one of the best views in las vegas for this money, the room was huge, clean and comfy and the loaction could not be more perfect. The paris hotel also in my opinon has the best layout for their casino
Since the location of the hotel is away from the Strip, the price of the room was really cheap. The water pressure in the shower was excellent, even though it was a hotel in Las Vegas. Hotel receptionist was very friendly and kind.
It was on the strip and it was close to a fair amount of places. It was a cheaper rate than other surrounding hotels and it was a good place to sleep. The casino was also conveniently close to the elevators.
Fantastic location, 5m walk from the Strip. But the hotel itself is basic and simple. So if you're looking for somewhere basic and cheap to stay close to all the sights of Las Vegas, this is your place.
Nice place in the downtown, close to Freemont street which is an attraction on its own. Not so crowded as Strip and a lot more convenient and cheaper comparing to hotels in the city center
