FAQs about hotels in Los Angeles

City of Angels

Exploring Los Angeles, the place where movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. Santa Monica Pier is the end point of the fabled Route 66, while just south is bohemian Venice Beach, lined by tall, swaying palms. Go slightly inland from the boardwalk to catch a glimpse of the canals that earned the area its name.

Head north to the golden beach and stunning scenery of Malibu and see why movie stars over the decades have settled here. Also popular with the rich and famous are Bel Air and Beverly Hills, home to exclusive Rodeo Drive.

And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalize celebrities of past and present.  Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

Over the hill is Universal Studios, with behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.

Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).

Everything - especially the public transport (trains, buses, etc.) that allowed me to visit every corner of LA including the beaches. The weather was absolutely brilliant! There is so much to do and see in LA! The presence of police and security guards at metro stations made me feel safe indeed.

Los Angeles is a metropolis: you MUST have a car to taste the sense of liberty which is part of the “style of life” of this city. Absolutely NOT TO LOSE the visit at “THE GETTY FOUNDATION”: the place itself and the collections. For the brunch, we were faithful guests of “THE BUTCHER, THE BAKER, THE CAPPUCCINO MAKER”, in Sunset Plaza.

    LA has something for everyone.

LA has something for everyone. It's an art lover's dream and has loads of family-friendly activities to choose from. We found too many quirky, weird, off-the-beaten-path experiences to choose from but definitely went to our favorites including the Museum of Jurassic Technology. Check it out if you have an ironic sense of humor. If you're a foodie dine at Jitlada for some authentic Thai food as well!

It is a city like no other, if someone tells you they live 10mins from your hotel, understand that, what they mean is, 15 mins from yours to the motorway, then 10mins down the motorway then 15mins to get to yours and thats when LA traffic is just ok.. you have to plan ahead, the transport system is not the best but once you plan things out LA is amazing to explore, you can't cover all its amazing mysteries in one trip. Defo a place to go and enjoy and live your best life,

Lots to see and experience, especially the theme parks, such as Universal Studios and Disneyland. A must to visit to the Walk of Fame along Hollywood Boulevard, take a tour around the Beverly hills and homes where celebrities live plus see fantastic scenic views of LA. Take the red and yellow bus hop on hop off bust tours and visit places of interest, stop off at Rodeo Drive, see where the luxury and high-end boutique shops, Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach, such a wide space of beach sand. The vast distance to travel from one end of city to the next does take up some time, especially if caught up in traffic.

its 2025, the political climate is very intense. ICE is in LA and its negatively affecting tourism. I wanted to venture out to Olvera street, and little Tokyo, Little Korea, but because there are reports that these places are turning into ghost towns, unfortunately. I will always come back and im sure many others will too.

Hotel and room are nice, clean and refurbished. Only two toilets and two showers per floor but they are big and were always vacant every time I went and kept clean and replenished. My room was quite big, queen size bed with big window, fan (very important), sink, soap, a set of towels, wardrobe, table and chair, cups, earplugs, hangers, mirror, fridge and tv. Cheaper compared to the average in the area (but still a bit expensive for solo traveller for a room with shared bathroom). Good location in a nice area and next to the bus stop.

I needed a cheap room close to the airport as a transit night before leaving the country - this hotel did the job pretty well. The room was a bit old and tired but the bed was good, the coffee machine worked and that was all that mattered! The 24-hour shuttle to the airport was a massive winner!
