Ninh Binh is extremely beautiful.
Ninh Binh is extremely beautiful. It’s better to take organised small group tours rather than a taxi to see the sights. Group tours include transport, entrance fee, lunch & a guide. The boating in Tam Coc & Trang An are not very different from each other, though I did both & loved them. Cuc Phuong is a gem.

Tam coc is worth staying in for minimum 3 nights. We could have easily spent a week here - to be surrounded by natural beauty. Traffic was minimal at time we went (In May), so cycling around was amazing. However it was hot and humid weather. Lots of reasonably priced eating options at walking distance. Very tourist friendly place. Recommend boating in Tang An - longer duration for same pricing as boating in Tam coc.

A beautiful place, lots to see and would recommend at least 2 days in one area and 2 days or more in another. Lots to see beautiful sites, walks, nature,. Quiet and calm in some places, busy but lovely in others. Do use a bicycle, znd cycle the rice fields, local Taxis or the grab cars. Visit the bird Sanctuary but don't stay there. And do Tam coc boat ride...stunning, as is the walk to the dragon! Take your time if you can. While touristy its also got many non touristy areas...slow down smell the roses and enjoy. A lovely, peaceful area perfect for getting out of the city and into nature. It's been wonderful to see the steps the municipality have taken to clean up the area and protect the natural resources. Huge improvement from a few years ago! The town centre is vibey and best for travellers looking for a bit of a party. But Ninh Binh is surrounded by plenty of peaceful homestays that are perfect for relaxing. The best attractions are Trang An boat tours (don't bother with the Tam Coc boats), Mua Caves and look-out point, and biking around the little roads.SarahSouth Africa - 10Scored 10

She booked us a motorbike tour and the drivers turned up within 10 minutes of booking! The tour was incredible, as were our drivers, they were very friendly and helpful! Breakfast in the morning was also delicious, some of the best scrambled eggs we’ve had! The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. We loved the breakfast and their juice and coffee. The grounds are dreamy too. I highly recommend the place. Super clean and very romantic.

The hosts from start to finish went above and beyond and made our visit to Tam Coc one of our favourite destinations in Vietnam so far. Fantastic location near all the activities you desire to do and they are really helpful in telling you about what to do in the area. We hired a cycling bike to get around which was a great fun as the roads are quite quiet. Honestly, would recommend to anyone, we loved it here!! Thank you!!

It's a great place to meet people and the pool and outdoor area is a real hub for both people staying here and other travellers staying in Tam Coc. There's plenty to explore and do nearby, but it's also great to just spend a few days lazing by the pool. The banana bread and coconut iced coffees are delicious!
