Do your research about the buildings & sights around the old town and the square. The astronomical clock is a must, get there about 5 minutes before turn of the hour. We got there at 12pm and the sounds of the bells ringing at the church across the square made for a great video as the 12 apostles come out and move around the clock.

While it's an amazing a lively place, avoid eating directly in the middle of it. It's a tourist trap, you'll be pushed to leave a tip, or even worse, have it on the bill as "service fee".

Stayed within about 50m of Old town Square Our apartment was facing into a courtyard at the rear of the building this proved to be a good thing. As Old town square is very very busy 24/7, esp on weekends when a huge influx of tourists arrive

Paid for the full tour which is located on the first floor. It included the underground tour well worth it and you can only go in their with a guide. Great experience. much easier than the tower by the castle. You also get to see the astronomical clock from the inside!

The Old Town Square is picturesque and even more so during the Christmas Markets when they are crowded with the wonderful smells of gingerbread, gluhwein; the church bells ringing and a chorus of Christmas Carols. Perfect.

Stayed only 2 nights :(( NOT ENOUGH for such a great town. Leppert hotel right in the old town square with magnificent view of the square. Awesome to be able seat outside at the hotel under umbrella and have a beer and watch people. planning to go back for longer time next time. recomment river tour at sunset from Charles Bridge walking distance from the hotel.

There is a shopping center with groceries across the street. And there is a delicious Italian restaurant on the corner. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to the Old Town Square. I thought the breakfast was fantastic with lots of yummy choices including scrambled eggs, pastries and fruit. The hotel made me a breakfast to go when I had to leave early for my flight. I would definitely stay there again.
